i stayed for 7 days this August 2022 and i miss Zadar already. i bungee jumped at Masleniscki most, do island hopping for 2 days and explored the old city for 2 days flying my drone near the sea organ and at the land gate.
HI Efren, sounds like an awesome trip! The island hopping around Zadar would have been awesome. Whilst not as popular as the islands down south like Hvar, the islands around Zadar are just as beautiful. The old city is really pretty as well, with plenty of nice restaurants at more affordable prices than down south too.
For sure! We were lucky enough to spend 3 months there. From next year Croatia becomes part of the EU and Shengen area, so you won't be able to spend 3 months in other european countries and then hop over into Croatia for 3 months (like we did), then hop back anymore.
Zadar was really nice and a more laid back alternative to Split. When we first got there in March it was FREEZING! We are sure it would be amazing in May/June though. Thanks for coming along Cara!
Great coastal town, very tranquil and full of history. Those truffles are my favorites, especially when cooked with pasta...divine! Enjoy mis amigos tuani, safe travels dear BLT !!
🤣🤣. We had to look up 'doona' after your comment Helen! We didn't realise it was just an aussie word! The taste of truffles really grows on you. You can get it infused in cheese spreads and we bought plenty of this to put into pasta dishes, so yummy!
Hi Crash Ryan, thanks for watching and we are glad to hear you enjoyed it. Zadar is a really beautiful and livable city and we feel it is under rated compared to the more popular Split.
Thanks for the information. Looking forward to our day at port in Zadar this April. Looks like there's no need to take an excursion outside the immediate area.
Hi @wahquan4823, yes our airbnb was great and perfectly located. You can find it here: www.airbnb.com.au/rooms/42753936?source_impression_id=p3_1708221827_tEFtOEoGs7wr%2Bkor
Hi Chiara, yes we think it is. It is a peaceful seaside tourist town. We recommend still taking normal safety precautions, like being aware of your surroundings, not leaving valuables lying around and being careful at night. These are things we do everywhere we go.
@@dud1000 unfortunately for female travellers, safety is always a big consideration regardless of how safe in general the country is. We wish this was not the case, but it's the sad reality. Even in our home country, I'm wary of going out by myself at night.

Why were you so thickly dressed if the video was posted a day ago?
I was wondering that as well but Jon said "It's March right now" two-thirds down the video.
We are a bit behind with our videos. As Ivica said, we were there in March and you definitely needed the extra clothes!
