Thanks for video. I'm thinking about going back to Nikon from Sony. I'm a little surprised by the price of 600€ for a 50mm 1.8. is it a cash grab or an exceptional lens?
Nice video, I like your narration it isn't hyperbolic. I have preordered the Z6 I currently use the D850 and that camera just preforms so I thought adding the Z6 for to capture video more easily and for more casual shooting. I've been waiting for what seems like years for Nikon to give us a mirrorless option., finally they do and it looks like a winner. I like 45mp but your right its taxing to computer systems and in my opinion it can be overkill in many situations.
I think the D850/Z6 will be the perfect combination to own. The D850 is such an excellent camera and the Z6 has features different enough (size etc) to warrant it.
did you try the z6 as the video just shows a camera body doing focus tests? kai went though the limitations of the focus system on the z7. will that be the same for the z6?
I tried both the Z6 and Z7 autofocus but we couldn’t record anything in the camera as they were preproduction cameras. The Z7 and Z6 are a bit different for the number of autofocus points. I’ll do a full test of the Z6 when they are released late Nov.
@NicoleKarthik Nice link you just posted, very nice and useless it it to Open and wait for it to render the website. *He's trolling* I Got trolled, Don't Open That link.
They probably mean when editing to add their logo to the start or end of the video and to add a lower thirds bit of text when a new speaker etc is introduced on screen as seen in corporate videos. It has to be done in the edit.
Apparently the new battery allows for USB charging, although no one at the event mentioned it. You can also use regular EN-EL15 batteries in it (which is handy, although they won’t last as long). A battery grip that will fit two batteries, is in development.
You can charge the battery in camera however you can't use the camera when charging. I have seen a few comments about being able to power the camera via the USB charger but it will not charge the battery at the same time. Not really a problem I think. I wish someone with the Z7 would weigh in.
Why would they release the Z7 if the ISO and continuous shooting is better on the Z6, battery only last 300 shots, and the camera only has 1 slot of SD card? It seems like the is the intro before release the next monster version. Although it looks like the mirrorless camera are the future, for now I'll stick with my D850.
The Z7 is meant to compare to the Nikon D5, whereas the Z6 is similar to the D850. The Z7 has excellent autofocus for photos (more focus points than the Z6). I think if you're primarily a stills shooter you can't go wrong with the d850. For video, having mirrorless is a treat. BTW, everyone I've spoken to who has used the camera are getting way more photos than 300 shots per battery in real world scenarios.
@@NiceLadyProductions Thanks for the response but, it's wrong. The Z7 and the D850 have almost identical specs except for what I mentioned. It's supposed to be the mirrorless D850. The Z6 has way less Megapixels and many other specs that are lower than the D850. The only thing the Z6 has that beats both cameras is the ISO capability, and is more comparable to the Nikon D750. For now, the mirrorless cameras haven't topped the D50 which is universally considered the camera to beat. Love your videos btw. I enjoy your feature breakdowns more than anyone else.
Im so confused at what camera to upgrade to lol. I havent moved from my oly em1 but i know i need to get with the new tech. Should i get this over the eos R ?
I recommend A7iii because the eos r is limited and z6 have a expensive lens and can't use tamron or sigma or any other company lenses on new Nikon Mirrorless cameras just Nikon lenses .....
It’s about choosing what kind of system you want to own. Every manufacture has different offerings for lenses (expensive, cheap, variety, vintage lenses etc). When you buy a camera you end up investing in lenses then upgrade bodies. Research what system you want to buy into, get the cameras in your hands and try them out.
@@NiceLadyProductions Yea i just gotta wait until my bestbuy gets the nikon z cameras (i kinda like the z6 paired with the crazy .95 lens next year) and the canon r then give them all a whirl in store. Thanks for your answer and also i do wildlife astro and landscapes.
Keep in mind, the Nikon Z6 has better specs for shooting video than theCanon R. 5 axis image stabilization, no crop when shooting 4K full frame, 10 bit with Nikon Log out, 120 FPS in 1080 (Canon only goes to 60).
I am a Nikon user, love Nikon. Just like you my first Nikon was D7000, after that I had a lot more Nikons coming and going like used D60, D5100, D3300, D7100, D750, D800 and D850. As a Wedding photographer and videographer I really need a hybrid camera and I was holding off from not jumping ship completely to Sony and waited for Nikon's mirrorless camera. I have pre-ordered the Z6 even before I heard about the full specs, yes I was that eager and excited, but ONE memory card, sorry its just unacceptable, I need backup for my work and one card is not going to cut it. Will not get the Z6, but I will also not go fully to Sony, I still believe in Nikon and I will hold out to Nikon's Gen II with the hope they will put 2 card slots in that body, till then I will continue to use my DSLR's for photo and Sony's for video work. But that's the last chance, next gen bodies need to have better AF and 2 card slots, if not I will sadly move fully to Sony. Last chance Nikon!!!
Thanks for your comments. The bodies are so small I can’t image how they’d fit two card slots but I sense they will at some point, since that’s been such a big feedback point.
@@NiceLadyProductions Sony found a way to put 2 cards in the A7RIII and A7III and its about same size as the Z6/Z7, in any case I don't mind if they make body bigger as long as it will have minimal specs required to shoot a wedding.
The Z7 May turnout to be the best Hybrid camera of the year. I have used Nikon for years and purchased a GH5 for video so this would be a great addition for my work flow if the auto focus is truly fixed for video shooting.
Nice Lady Productions does Nikon still have record limitations and I have heard some nasty in camera noise while using the FTZ from some RUclips channel showcasing the video features?
The Nikon's DO have 30 minute clip max for video, the reason is how the EU classifies cameras. If they are classified as video cameras (like the GH5) then it's unlimited, but these are photo cameras so they have a clip max, it has nothing to do with their internal capabilities or card speed.
Nikon respectfully requests that you refer to the series as the "Z" series, not "Zed", I know it's a Canadian thing, but Please respect the manufacturer's wishes. Nice review, thanks.
I know it's funny, but at the same time, I was at a "reveal" In Tokyo and the Nikon guys actually discussed if we should call it "Zed" or "Z" it was real, they asked us not to refer to it as a "zed series" We laughed at that, but he was serious.. it's a weird world. As long as it works, I'm happy :)
Thank you for this full breakdown, I love it.
do you know if the z6 does full sensor readout for it's 1080 video, or just when recording to 4k..?
Why isn't there a side by side photo, and video comparison ? I don't know why there are so many reviews without this showing.
Hey, I was at a Nikon unveiling prior to camera launch so I captured what they would allow me to at the event. Couldn't stage much.
Thanks for video. I'm thinking about going back to Nikon from Sony. I'm a little surprised by the price of 600€ for a 50mm 1.8. is it a cash grab or an exceptional lens?
Great overview. I agree the Z6 is a great video camera. Can[t wait to get mine.
Fantastic review and explanation of the features of this camera. Thank you.
If I was shooting 1080 video, with both the Z6 and Z7, is the low light capabilities going to be similar?
Technically the Nikon Z6 will offer a cleaner image in low light because it’s sensor has less Megapixels.

Hi could you tell me what it means when a client asks to add simple text and branding to a video????????????

@@NiceLadyProductions thanks a lot I am trying to get into video editing and don't really have a mentor, thanks for the help again
When is the next Japan Camera Show. Maybe a new release going then.
I have heard They have USB charge.

Oh Alone that’s a Pro feature Nikon stated that theses are not pro cameras but the are charging us as if they are.😬
These are definitely pro cameras, a large amount of Nikon Ambassadors are already using them instead of the D850.
Not Pro cameras. Wait for the round Eyecup. That's Nikon's signature for Pro bodies. And they are coming. The Z7 is just an expensive Prosumer model.
Z6 on order, a great video discussing some of the specs and what to expect out of the Z series.
how did it do for you , did you miss the swivel screen , im missing it just from watching
@@dedskin1 Great camera, used it for landscapes, weddings, engagement shots, car photography. I've since moved on to the Z6 II.

over here, in europe and in japan they call it Zed. also its nik-on. not nigh-kon.
