Matt and Sarah Destroy Christmas - My gifts were based this year on walk/run on PCT and Bike the Tour Divide - My wonderful wife and family support my adventures so I got quite a bit of stuff - Then I watch your video where you carry practically nothing. I go back through my gear list to see what can stay home and found most of it are truly not "Must carry" items. I know somewhere on the PCT I will curse you for not having some cool gadget that would make me more comfortable. But for the other 99% of the time I will be thankful for having less load on my back. Time to head to REI Return line, it is always a long line after Christmas when dreams hit reality and things have to be returned. Great video and I look forward to seeing more.
I'm pretty sure he carries and eats Chia seeds, sunflower seeds, and assorted nuts, like what you'd get in a trail mix. I'm basing that assumption off comments he made in the past and what I read in his book "Epic Survival" which I highly recommend.
thank you Matt for taking us along. Love Oregon spent time in three sisters area and mount hood and hood river. always wanted to live there but dreams were crushed by now EX WIFE😉. THANKS AGAIN!!!
hey matt, hey sarah! hope you´re doing good out there? ...matt, hope your knee is healing well or has allready healed?!? i saw you sporting shoes again in this video. Shoes are a big issue for me, i´ve been moving barefoot as much and often as i can, but like you said, sometimes it´s just good to know you do have some extra protection. overhere, shoes never fit and the "barefoot-minimalist" shoes i get are falling apart after a couple of month in use. would be great to hear or read if you do have the same problems or which shoe you do recommend except the awesome sandals i tried aswell! ;-)
Hey Matt and Ms. B, Tanks for the adventure this morning. I wonder ic yoh could explain curther the dead fall issue with your hammock. Did not quite understand...I know you have alot going on; maybe a follower could explain what you mean. Do you mean that if a wi d blew up yohr hammock would fall?
Johns Island Organics-You should always look above you (tent/ground or hammock) for “widowmakers”...they are dead branches or leaning trees that could fall on you if there is any wind.
