  • In this video I show how I hide weld joints on interior work. This technique was taught to our shop by a Blacksmith who primarily worked for interior decorators.

    Why don’t you pickle your steel first that way you don’t have mil scale. Then just a light coat of oil to stage everything while you prepare to weld

      You could I suppose, but I have no means of placing all the forged parts in a pickle bath. I find that nothing cleans the raw steel like fire. The dye finishes won't work if there is any trace of residue.

      That is true residue will cause some issues
