- In this video I show how I hide weld joints on interior work. This technique was taught to our shop by a Blacksmith who primarily worked for interior decorators.

I will try, Clients say they will send you some pictures, but you know how it goes sometimes.
Why don’t you pickle your steel first that way you don’t have mil scale. Then just a light coat of oil to stage everything while you prepare to weld
You could I suppose, but I have no means of placing all the forged parts in a pickle bath. I find that nothing cleans the raw steel like fire. The dye finishes won't work if there is any trace of residue.
That is true residue will cause some issues
