A man that truely wants a child would never think it was a bad time to announce that you are pregnant. Especially after 6 years of trying to conceive. He shouldve been ecstatic and been proud to announce the good news to all his family and friends as a way to close out the celebration. He seems so selfish. I would not be happy to be having a baby with that kind of person. If you can, move to your own apartment/ house. I dont see anything good coming from this relationship in the long term. He has already abandoned you while you are pregnant with his child so don't expect anything from him.

The one with the moms tattoo, I wouldn’t really say ur the ata but tattoo removal is extremely expensive and painful. Also the mother is probably emotionally attached to the tattoo. I mean she’s even trying to cover it up, as long as she isn’t using your dn or disrespecting you. Also it’s her body
It’s also so cruel to call her transphobic. It’s just taking her some time to get get used to this. She’d also be fond of her past memories with her kids. And now one of her children is asking her to forget everything for this seemingly sudden reason.
I mean, she’s hiding the tattoos, she’s not using the dead name, she’s still in contact with her trans child, so you can tell she’s not trans phobic. You can tell she’s trying.
it’s so mean to make her hide it or get it removed. that tattoo means a lot to her and it’s obvious that she respects him. she’s trying to cover it up to make her son happy
For the one about the dead name: Your mom is trying hard to cover up the tattoo and it sounds like she’s very supportive but that tattoo literally represents her love for her children you constantly telling her that it makes you uncomfortable probably brakes her heart. Not to mention the pain and problems that can happen from removing a tattoo on an older body. The tattoo says your dead name like it or not it’s the name you were given at birth and it’s the name she knew you by when she got it, it doesn’t change your gender be seeing it and it doesn’t mean you’re mother loves you any less. So yes you are the a-hole
i mean i can kinda see both sides here. cuz for trans individuals it can be really triggering to have a constant reminder of your gender assigned at birth right in front of you. I don't think the mother is in the wrong, but i dont think op necessarily is either.
I agree with this tho OP has a right to be upset the mom is covering it up and removing it would be unfair to the mom and the sister tho I see where OP is coming from at this point I think they should just except it bc the mom will probably never change it also the cousin should apologize they didn’t have the right to lash out OP’s mom is already stressed about the whole thing neither are in the wrong tho

For the one about the deadname, what happened to her body her choice? Like she trying to cover it up but it’s not enough. I just don’t get it. She supports you but being old and removing a big part of her life is a big step to take. I think she is forgetting that this is her moms body.
I guess it only applies to some not all, they say people should respect their choices and not tell them how to live their life, but get mad when people don’t change themselves for them.

2nd story: absolutely not he sound selfish and entitled yes, it is his day but that would also be the day he found out he was gonna be a father leaving more reasons to celebrate. My mom actually announced she was pregnant with me on my dad's birthday and he was ecstatic. Yes it was done in private but he literally told you "if it's so important why can't you say it here" so you couldn't do it in private. Honestly he sounds like a pain.
His point is the attention would be on her cause she's the one carrying the baby obv he's gonna be selfish on his day he overreacted though
@@Garbageanimations yes, he definitely overreacted but like- that's showing mixed signals on whether or not he really wants to be a dad. If he would have let her talk in private like she wanted to it really wouldn't be a thing but he decided not to- I honestly feel he's still totally in the wrong but announcing it in front of their friends was not okay. I do see why she did that though I think she should have waited until they could talk in private instead of blurting out she was pregnant. Idk if this made any sense or not but- this is my opinion on the story if this came off rude I apologize I didn't mean for it to do so. okay, and? the mother may not have directly bad intentions but it doesnt take away from how keeping a permanent tattoo of your sons deadname on your arm for no real reason other than "sentiment".
@@goldenmolelover the problem is the body of the mom is old. tattoo removal is hella expensive and painful by it self. the person had also said the mom doesnt do tattoos anymore cause of how painful it is. she tried her best to cover it up.

For the story with the trans person: there’s a difference between not being used to the whole LGBT concept and being phobic. To call her transphobic when she’s truly trying her best to accept you and slowly get used to this new you. And that shows she truly loves you.
It’s fine if it takes her a while to come to terms with this but it shows that’s she’s trying to.
She’s still attached to those fond memories you’ve had with her and I bet it’s hard to forget it all because one day you told her you’re trans.
I know it was a long and hard process for you. I bet it would’ve been tough. But you gotta understand that to your mother, it feels like one day you woke up and chose to be the opposite gender. She’s trying to understand you so be patient with her rather than to put such great accusations on her.
I might not know even half of how much you struggled and how much pain your dead name causes you, but I do know that your mom is trying her best and it’d be cruel of you to expect her to accept you as soon as you come out. It’s a big change for her too. She has her own problems to deal with. Please keep that in mind.

For the one about the dead name, not the a-hole, and neither is the mom. The mother is trying her best to cover it up so she's at least trying, but I can see why the OP wants it removed, it can be triggering and hurtful to see your dead name. They are both reasonable, the cousin immediately yelling at the mother was a little uncalled for though, they didn't know the full story nor did they hear both sides.
