I removed my trim without disconnecting the battery and without taking out the airbag! You did way more than necessary! All you need is a plastic trim panel removal tool. Don't use a screwdriver cause you'll damage stuff.
Came here to watch steering wheel removal but saw you have a strut tower brace /bar. Does it make any difference that can be felt. What brand is it and where did you get it? Thanks
Good question. I bought it from a good friend named Daniel through his site cruzeculture.com. When I steer it feels more solid with a little more control than I had without it. It’s made by Ultra Racing.
Curious question, what year is your Cruze? I'm working with a 2014 and I just wanted to check before I start poking around on the wheel; it's the last piece of trim I need to paint. Did you do the chrome pieces around the air vents too??
Hey Haley. Mine is a ‘15. The steering wheels are the same on ours. I did do the chrome pieces around the air vents, but they hang off a bit and don’t stay on as well as they were before I took them off.
How exactly did you get it off with the flathead? I cant see what you did inside I tried doing as you explained but when I caught what felt like the bar the flathead broke.
Hey there. I looked up about five different tutorials on how to wrap. I bought the carbon fiber wrap material on Amazon, I took the actual silver trim off and then wrapped it separately and then put it back together again. It’s not the funnest task but totally worth it.
can you help me with replacing of "steering wheel abs cover of Chevrolet Sail-Uva" ?. I can buy the steering wheel abs cover online but I do not know how to change the steering wheel abs cover which has the horn rubber switch too.
Ryan Solano No it wasn’t. I cut out rectangular pieces and laid them onto the trim pieces the best I could, then used scissors to cut around the trim pieces and left a couple inches to spare around them. The heat gun is what actually did the job though. The wrap is easily stretched when heated. I used VViViD XPO wrap from Amazon. @John Laurus if your really worried you could always disconnect your battery or airbag fuse first
Sometimes it’s better to be safe than sorry. Don’t wanna have that airbag pop by accident or whatever
Thx a lot , life saver ♥️
Thank you. Nice video

It took me multiple attempts to get it, but once you catch it the airbag will disengage and come off.
It is possible to install the cruise control on my Chevy Cruze 2009 by changing the steering wheel with one that have a cruise control?
Cooper Nziemi I have no idea tbh. I would definitely look it up or ask someone who’s more knowledgeable on that than myself.
@@randumby3k thank you
My trim is a rubber material and I'm changing it to a plastic one will it work or it's different since the old trim is a rubber material ?
I’m assuming that since it’s the same trim piece it should all work the same.
Hey bro Im struggling to get catch that bar I broke the flat head I was using trying to disconnect it from the bar.
Geez I hope you figured it out. Takes a little patience.
Does it work for the 2016 it has a different steering wheel
I wouldn’t chance it. Most likely it doesn’t.
How did you get that carbon fiber trim on your silver pieces on your steering wheel

My steering wheel has lost its luster. Is there a way to take it all off to replace it with a better steering wheel? so

Was the wrap you used for the steering wheel and the other trim in the car pre cut?
