This is a very nice truck. Two things weren't mentioned that are good points. 1. It has electronic powered steering now. 2. It has a TELESCOPING steering wheel. Which if you've ever driven a truck is a big must.

That´s really good truck, ford is one of the best brands of trucks, i´m from uruguay and i have an ford ranger xlt and i bought it in 1997 and i never had to change something, every parts of the engine still working and is really amazing, just have 16 years and i never had any kind of problem, of course some changes but normal like to change the oil but not important changes, is made it for have lots of years and never you will a problem, this is a good truck like mine
The rev limiter is set to 4,000rpm only when the vehicle is in "PARK" to keep from burning up the torque converter. If you put it into "NEUTRAL" and rev it you get the pull effect.
Lol I live in michigan a half hour away from the dearborn f150 assembly plant where this one was made. I got to do a walkthrough and it is amazing how entertaining it is. I sat there for 20 minutes watching the guy put the badges on the tailgate. And they have a huge theater thing that basically takes you through the assembly of a f150 and it has sweet effects. The floor moves and water falls and lights flash, its awesome!
I hate fan boys. I like the Toyota Tundra, Ram, Silverado/Sierra, and the F150. Why cant people understand that they are all good trucks? This Ecoboost engine is the best new engine for the gas trucks.

See this is what sets apart Ford from other truck makers, they can pull of making a good, powerful workers truck BUT they make sure you get all the luxuries, features and comfort of a luxury sedan, unlike every other truck maker.
these engines are incredible in this truck hands down best truck ever... kyle have you ever seen fords torture test vids on one of these engines? if you havent check it out its insane what this motor can endure

Right now I have a 2005 Ford F-150 SXT. It's a very nice truck and I put my Dual Exhausts and FlowMasters on there. I would easily take 2010 to 2015 F-150 any day over mine though because I've always wanted one. Right now I'm trying to save up for one but for the time being my 2005 is just perfect. I am a ford guy and love it.

Just got mine first truck I've ever owned 2011 lariat with maximum tow package granted it's now 2021 and a 10-year-old truck but it only has 84,000 miles on it
the best part of the steering that you forgot to mention was that it is an electric steering rack instead of the usual hydraulic assist that ford used in the f150's until 2011 which makes turning the steering wheel WAAAAAAAAAAYYYYY smoother and easier........ sorry, just had to point it out there. Need to sell more trucks ( I work as a tech at a ford dealership lol )

I did rent one of these in the same color but XLT (no SYNC, bench seats in the front and rear, single-disc CD, no security system, cloth seats, etc) but it also had a gray interior and no two-tone paint. also no Sony stereo (6 speakers only), no productivity screen (only a small monochromic display) and the 5.0 V8.

@mike12954 im also a new driver, my dad made me learn in his 2004 dodge grand caravan and now we have a 2011 f150 like this and i can say that once you get used to it its perfect, my mom has a little toyota corolla and its feels very small to drive now
@jman66053 thanks man, other thing that i really like it of my truck, is the engine sound, that you see is powerful with his 6 cylindres and the other, has a system that if you reach the 160 km/h it turn of the engine, that´s perfect because you can´t go to fast and the other thing is if you overturn your truck, immediately stop work the gasoline to the engine to prevent an explosion. the bad thing that i had, was the original alarm cause stole the key and i had to remake another and alarm too
@fordfanatic100 maby true but in my 05 ranger 3.0 3 spd auto O/D jump from gear to neutral and it will hit red line as long as you keep it up or it will stay at 3k.

I believe the first Ford to get it was the Taurus SHO last year or Lincoln MKS Ecoboost. Either way it came out in late 2009.

Great truck. It is weird however not hearing a nice rumbling V8 at the start but if this engine can get the job done that's what matters.
when they say leather "trimmed" is that leather around the edges of seat and some other material in the middle?

they should bring the 300 straight 6 back, those got all of there torque around 1500 rpms, great for towing and they lasted forever!! i have one

@saabkyle04 good review. in my opinion though the wing mirrors stick out to much but other than that nice truck.
@saabkyle04 It sounds like it would be more fuel efficient to just go with a V8 than a twin turbo V6 with the same power or is it about the same?

Red seems to be the colour for 2011, i`ve seen a lot of cars in red lately.
Definitely puts out more than v8 numbers for towing and work, plus much better fuel economy.
