This is my sixth instalment in the "Solo Trigger Styles" series! This time, probably the most requested trigger of all, so I've brought out Mr. Claymore, the handmade binaural mic-head. I've gone for a 2hr video this time, only "Hand Sounds" ASMR with some very infrequent whispering mixed through. If the soft, soothing sounds of dry hands rubbing together relax you, then you'll love this little video. I find these sounds incredibly calming, almost too much - editing took forever because I kept needing 'wake-up breaks'! Thank you so much, this is high praise indeed. I can let you in on my next upload as it would be good to hear your opinion. I know that you liked my long videos (5-8hr ones) as you commented on those previously (originally). So, I just finished a recording session and initially thought that I'd make another really long video as I haven't done one like that in a while. However, the items I've been gathering for the video are all sounding pretty awesome this time, some of them sound (to me) like the best I've ever done. So, I think I might just upload them as shorter videos into this playlist: ruclips.net/p/PL13sUB043gO9KZEMyek64pV33uHIsm_4F - I think it'll be better for the channel having say 10 shorter videos (45min each) instead of one uber-long video. Yeah, I thought Mr. Claymore was a good choice for hand sounds but it's made me realise something that I never realised until now. These heads aren't so good for layered ASMR. Well, thank you for coming back so often to watch this, I hope it doesn't get old for you, but if it does then come back and watch my upcoming videos or my archive of videos too. It's it always hand sounds that you're drawn to for ASMR?

Yeah, definitely planned. I've got a few different whispering videos that I want to try: - Book review - Reading poetry - Introducing my dogs to you all - Talking about what I got into ASMR - Looking through my old notes from university in the 80's Just to name a few.... but yeah those will be a series on their own (when I get to them) 🥰❤
@@Data_vanOrtus Yeah, it's crazy that I still have them after all this time. They're packed away in cardboad boxes. I'm not a nostalgic person at all, but I never had the heart to toss them as they took so much effort to create ❤🥰 The degree was in "Civil Engineering Management" so might not be very interesting subject matter but might be quite good to see my reaction at opening the notes out after decades in these boxes to see what memories the bring back?
@@Data_vanOrtus I kept nothing from school, only distant memories remain. University was different though. I was a mature student and I got a lot out of the course. I don't know why I kept the notes though. I've moved house several times since I graduated and the boxes have spent years and years up in an old loft at one of my previous homes. The boxes are covered in bird dirt and years of cobweb dust, but I've stored them in my boiler cupboard here at my newest home. Yeah, I think I'll dig them out soon ❤🥰
He is a fine fellow indeed. You can see more of him in his debut video from back when I was starting out, here: ruclips.net/video/FP-_8mJILoE/видео.html
Sadly I can't listen to dry skin / fabric sounds myself thanks to harsh misiphonia, but here's a comment and like regardless! I'm going to listen to at least two older videos in stead while reading and resting today. 📚
Hi, my wife has really, really bad misophonia and almost every sound on the ASMR planet is a really harsh trigger for her. So, I completely understand but I am also extremely interested to talk to you about misophonia. There are ASMR sounds that you like and that don't actually irritate you? I'd be really keen to know which sounds you actually like. I've did a lot of research into misophonia and I understand it to be the exact polar opposite of ASMR. So, where particular sounds give tingles to people with ASMR, these same sounds trigger an irritation response in misophoniacs. 20% of the population has misophonia and 20% has ASMR. It's also interesting to me that the person with misophonia is the one who gave such an in-depth, descriptive comment on the beard sounds video I did. It's made me realise something actually. Well, call it a theory....... "Misophonia is actually just extreme ASMR"..... do you think that this theory is plausible?
@@ASMRtroops This is very interesting! Yes, some of my favourite ASMR triggers are paper, playing cards, writing (both handwritten and keyboard), and knitting/crochet/sewing sounds...which is _especially_ interesting, as I think all of those can either be called 'dry' or 'fabric' sounds. (I very much like nature sounds as well, but I always wonder if that's true ASMR or merely activating some innate, base instinct that all of us have for being out in the trees, I think.) For me, the discomfort caused by misophonia feels like a sensation of uncomfortableness only one degree away from pain - definitely not true pain, but close enough that my body and brain are setting off all of the usual 'pain' alarms. I want to move away quickly from the sound, and feel what I think could very well be called opposites of ASMR-induced sensations: fear, confusion, anger, disgust, and an extremely heightened sense of alertness. The same tingling sensation triggered by ASMR down the back of my neck and spine is replaced by a frisson of nerve-y alarm and non-pain. I think that that theory is plausible, and makes sense! I've always described anxiety and excitement as 'the two sides of the same coin', and this description feels very fitting for the experiences of misophonia and ASMR.
@@RoundSeal You describe it in almost the exact same was as my wife and she often has to take herself away from the sound and leave the room. Cinemas for example, people eating popcorn and we just have to leave. But it's not just audible triggers, it can be visual too, like someone shaking their foot continuously. She also seems able to bear the same sounds as you, pencil drawing, keyboard sounds, but she also likes crystal sounds too. Everyone does love nature sounds though 🥰 I like how you describe misophonia, inducing certain emotions which seem like the opposite of ASMR induced emotions, yet the same triggers. It's a similar comparison with laughing and crying, two emotions that use the exact same muscles and response mechanisms but with polar opposite emotions. Very interesting. I know there's no cure for it other than exposure therapy but no thank you to that eh ❤
@Lexio5526 and @Hoshino_Channel - yes, I made this binaural mic head. It's terracotta clay with silicone mould ears and SR3D mic capsules. Pretty easy to make really, but maybe a little on the small side I think 🥰❤
Thank you. I've been trimming it for so long, like years... growing it isn't a problem just keeping it trim is the issue. If I shaved clean then it would take a couple of years to get it so full again though. It's just because some parts of a beard grow really fast and other parts, really slow. So, you need to let the slow areas catch up. Mine are all caught up, years ago ❤🥰
@@CrazyInternet That's quite a lot. I'd like to make one of these hand sounds video with a good quality stereo mic some time. Just to show you the difference in sounds. It's a much warmer tone and you might like that. So yeah, I will make one ❤🥰

That's the Small head but with cool mics
The head looks small next to me, I'm kinda big haah ❤🥰
I like this!
Thank you for always commenting on my videos, I'm just happy you like them. I'm about to start releasing shorter videos in a new series, "single object triggers". These will be like 25-30 min videos so I hope they still go down well 🥰❤
just got here, ain’t leaving
Welcome, I;m glad you've found my channel and hope you'll be here enjoying the content for a long time to come 🥰❤
Just what I need for midterm review. :) I’d been hoping we’d see the Troops called to active duty once more!
Yeah, Mr Claymore is on reconnaissance, scouting for new recruits ❤🥰 I'm not sure if you like hand sounds but it's another one off the list of "solo triggers". Good luck with your mid-term review 🤞🏼
@@ASMRtroops I very much do, sir. :) Your hand sounds are par excellence, and provide quite the soothing backdrop for reading French. :)
@@lukarium Oh, you're reading in French as well? It's such a beautiful language!
@@ASMRtroops I like learning languages. :) Being Canadian, French was part of my school curriculum growing up. Being a classicist, French (and German) are important languages for scholarship, so I’m brushing up.
@@lukarium I always wanted to learn a language but never did find the time. I used to live in Montréal as well, you'd think I'd have made the effort 🥰❤
nice hand sounds , its my third time watching the whole thing lol
Well, thank you for coming back so often to watch this, I hope it doesn't get old for you, but if it does then come back and watch my upcoming videos or my archive of videos too. It's it always hand sounds that you're drawn to for ASMR?
@@ASMRtroops I enjoy almost all kinds of ASMR but my favorite trigger is hand sounds or the red beer pong cups haha
@@guyaumest-pierre3662 Hmm, I have a red beer-pong trigger recorded from a previous video. The video was getting too long and they almost made the cut but I left them off that time. I might have to dig out the footage and upload as a shorter video. They did sound pretty good ❤🥰
An amazing and respectful beard
Thank you ❤🥰
Hi id have a recommendation for the solo triggers series. what about some of those scottish whispers?
Yeah, definitely planned. I've got a few different whispering videos that I want to try:
- Book review
- Reading poetry
- Introducing my dogs to you all
- Talking about what I got into ASMR
- Looking through my old notes from university in the 80's
Just to name a few.... but yeah those will be a series on their own (when I get to them) 🥰❤
@@ASMRtroops hmm uni notes sounds interesting
@@Data_vanOrtus Yeah, it's crazy that I still have them after all this time. They're packed away in cardboad boxes. I'm not a nostalgic person at all, but I never had the heart to toss them as they took so much effort to create ❤🥰 The degree was in "Civil Engineering Management" so might not be very interesting subject matter but might be quite good to see my reaction at opening the notes out after decades in these boxes to see what memories the bring back?
@@ASMRtroops especially considering i dont even have my school notes from 5years ago
Yeah, I think I'll dig them out soon ❤🥰
amazing video
Thank you ❤🥰
Mr. Claymore looks like a fine fellow doesn’t he?
He is a fine fellow indeed. You can see more of him in his debut video from back when I was starting out, here: ruclips.net/video/FP-_8mJILoE/видео.html
MR CLAYMORE!!!
Yes, he's back for a quick appearance. I think next head I bring back might be Mr. Bluestone or maybe, Mr. Goldberg ❤🥰
Everyone does love nature sounds though 🥰
I like how you describe misophonia, inducing certain emotions which seem like the opposite of ASMR induced emotions, yet the same triggers. It's a similar comparison with laughing and crying, two emotions that use the exact same muscles and response mechanisms but with polar opposite emotions.
Very interesting. I know there's no cure for it other than exposure therapy but no thank you to that eh ❤
Wow did you made it or buy it?. also awsome videos ❤
I'm pretty sure he made it
@Lexio5526 and @Hoshino_Channel - yes, I made this binaural mic head. It's terracotta clay with silicone mould ears and SR3D mic capsules. Pretty easy to make really, but maybe a little on the small side I think 🥰❤
I’m in love. (Again) Many thk my dear ❤
Oh, you're very welcome. I do hope you enjoy these hand sounds 🥰❤🥰
Came for the beard, stayed for the sounds.
Thank you, hopefully you'll check out my other videos while you're here too ❤️🥰
Good asmr video may i ask how long did it take you to grow that good beard of yours.
Ta barbe est magnifique 😍😍
Merci 🥰❤

the sound is so grating ughhhh
Do you like other sounds in ASMR? I know a lot of people really hate hand sounds but love other types of sound ❤🥰

how many times you listened to this video then? 🥰❤
@@ASMRtroops haha i think from start to finish somewhere around 10 - 15 times 😶🌫️ 💚
@@CrazyInternet That's quite a lot. I'd like to make one of these hand sounds video with a good quality stereo mic some time. Just to show you the difference in sounds. It's a much warmer tone and you might like that. So yeah, I will make one ❤🥰
