Hfmasters nothing to do with lloyd but do you think that the session 11 set boxes should've been kai and Zane in the corner because of the Pyro snakes and ice samurai
Lloyd has daddy issues, it’s part of his story. He struggles with emotional attachment and that’s what he actually deals with in each of his seasons. Yes there are seasons where that’s his father but that’s because it’s the most important relationship in his life For example in the evil zane season he won’t fight him either. That battle is the same. People don’t talk about it because it didn’t mean even almost as much to Lloyd so it wasn’t as impactful. That’s why his fight with Harumi was such an important moment. It wasn’t just the plot but also the emotions. And I know the video didn’t come out when so of the stuff I’m talking about did but The new fight with Harumi vs Lloyd is such a good example of his character. He is lead by emotion and can be easily manipulated. If he cares for someone he won’t hurt them, he can’t, he isn’t about to. Lloyd’s character is that of a hero who so often finds that he can’t fight, that he can’t be the hero the people need because he lets his emotions completely control him. That’s Lloyd’s character
I think Lloyd’s character is he let’s his emotions control him but he try’s to stop them to save people and I can relate my emotions can get the better of me but I try to hold them back so Lloyd is a strong and great ninja.
Finally someone who understands, for example kai when he found out that his father was evil, he batteled him with no struggle and didn't care but lloyd when it comes fighting his father, he can't, he let his emotions take him, and that's when people hate on it but tbh it's better, for me it's not boring at all, it's really inspiring for the people who also let's their emotions to take over them when people want them to be different, idc if no one agrees but for me lloyd is my favorite :)
@@amoura00 Same, Lloyd matches me in personality traits, he’s always been my favourite since the show first came out / shown him well all of them are my favourites but yeah.
The creators thought that Ninjago would end with season 2 . So they rushed his arc in order to finish it . If they knew the series would would continue , they would’ve fleshed out his story . The transition from a minor villain to a gold hearted Ninja ( literally) would be longer .
It was not rushed, Ninjago was always planned to go 3 years, the reason it was cancelled wasn’t because of poor sales. It was because it ran its intended course and LEGO wanted to move on with Chima. Obviously they found out they had they had more than they thought with Ninjago and so they brought it back quickly but that only because of phone calls from parents
When the Overlord said: "Where there is light, there will always be shadow," Lloyd should have said "And where there is shadow, there will always be light."
0:51 I honestly don’t blame Lloyd for not having any clever lines when fighting the Overlord. Let’s not forget that Lloyd was forced to grow up, even though he’s still mentally a young boy. 5-10 year olds aren’t really creative when it comes to heroic lines. So, since Lloyd was mentally a 5-10 year old, I can understand why his threats to the Overlord weren’t very creative.
The biggest problem with him is that they just keep resetting his growth- they can't seem to let him move on as a character, it was SO obvious in SOG-Hunted. The forced 're-growth' of the character throughout those seasons just spat in the face of everything that had come before it. What was the buildup from him becoming more like a sensei? Edging ever closer, and finally getting that role technically in Hands of time? Only to just be thrown back to square one because 'whoops we cant have our main ninja go growing into a different person now that he is printing the $$$ amirite bois ecksdeee"
There's other character arcs they could have used for Lloyd other than daddy issues like when he was the youngest ninja they could have made his arc more about feeling lesser than the other ninjas or that one time when they were going to give him a trying to be a good leader arc they could have focused on that more or give him an arc about feeling overwhelmed by the responsibility of being the most powerful ninja or even an arc about that crush on haroomi just don't use daddy issues again
I think the oni arc could've been explored more in a full on season instead of a special. It could've made room for Lloyd's arc cycle to go in a different direction. Like him taking on an oni form or something.
I think it would have been cool if Cole had Oni blood and through the touch with the cloud he turns into an oni and becomes evil. I even wrote a whole script about him meeting Harumi who is recruiting Cole to turn against his friends and take revenge. Just look at him: He is the ninja that has made it through the most. He didn't get Nya in the end, he became a ghost, his friends forgot him, he fell from the bounty ...
My main problem with Lloyd is that even though if it's not his season, he still gets focused sooooo much on, for example; Season 3 (Zane's Season)- The Overlord takes his Golden Power Season 4 (Kai's Season)- Chen leaves him last to take his power Season 5 (Could've been Cole or Nya's season)- Literally the whole season is about unpossessing him Season 6 (Jays Season)- He's the Last Ninja to gets put in the Djinn Blade Season 7 (Kai/Nya's Season) He has to take up Master Wu's place as the team leader Season 9 (Wu's Season) Goes sicko mode in the last episode when he fights Garmadon Season 10 (Cole I guess?) Of course he goes to this grass land lookin thing and meets the First Spinjitsu Master
I agree completely, man. Though I might be a bit biased because I prefer the original seasons with the four ninja, Kai was by far the best protagonist as per the pilot and season 1, because he had a clear, relatable goal - which was to find Nya, and then become the Green Ninja. This goal [the latter] started off as a harmless competition between the four ninja, but Kai gradually took the "competition" to a point that became borderline obsessive. He wanted to become the green ninja so bad he put himself and others in danger to unlock his True Potential - however, he finally managed to do it when he realized he needed to put those friends in _front_ of his otherwise selfish desires to become worthy of deserving the title. Kai's arc was complete the minute he chose to save Lloyd rather than the Fang Blade, which then allowed him to accept Lloyd as the Green Ninja rather than himself. Since then he retained a bit of his fiery side/headstrong nature, but became a lot more humble and supportive of his allies. Personally I think the Lloyd problem would be fixed if they touched on his and Kai's dynamic since their characters were so reflective/dependent on each other (Lloyd sees Kai as an older mentor figure - Accepting Lloyd's fate allow Kai to be more humble). It keeps getting brought up every now and then - mostly in Season 4 and 5 (the latter, Kai takes Lloyd's possession quite heavily and stops at nothing to rescue him - season 4 shows Kai has some jealousy buried deep about not being the Green Ninja), but I think it would be best if it was brought up more. They should definitely focus more on Lloyd's dynamic with the others, and give him a more definitive, realistic goal. That's what made Kai such a good protagonist from the start - we could relate to him wanting to save his sister quickly and efficiently (because she was all he had)), and we can relate to him wanting to become the Green Ninja so badly (after all, Garmadon nearly took everything from him and had Samukai kidnap his sister in the first place - he wanted to be the one to defeat him).
when it comes to lego, this is the complete opposite as to how they handled Takua/Takanuva in Bionicle. He got just 1 year to himself even becoming the mascot of the very first lego and bionicle movie. and then? nothing. he gets 2 new sets but he never took the spotlight though. he was more of a side character, a backup toa for help every now and then. Lloyd is pretty much given the Tommy Oliver treatment where the show's spotlight focuses all on him, he's the jesus character of the entire ip, he gets the best dragons, the best weapons, the best costumes, green is so special, that it gets thrown out for gold! c'mon! I liked Morro a lot more than Lloyd. He was the anti-Kai, like what if he continued being jealous and let that obsession consume him even after his death? in fact he kind of reminds me of Jason Todd from batman in this case. oh and he looked better in green too especially with that phantasm hoodie.
Yeah, I’m not crazy about Lloyd these days. Back in the first two seasons of the cartoon, I found Lloyd quite enjoyable and developed; besides turning out to be the green ninja and pre-destined to fight Garmadon, he also had a few other things going on to make him relatable (like having been a misguided kid in “Never Trust a Snake” and feeling conflicted over giving up being a kid in “Child’s Play”). Nowadays, as the cartoon has clearly steered away from prophecies and ultimate fights, Lloyd now feels like he’s just “there” for me. Nearly all of his modern plots revolve around his unsteady relationship with his (wrongfully resurrected in season eight) father - a dynamic I’ve grown tired of watching (do not get me started on that toxic dynamic he had with Harumi), and he has hardly any notable quirks now to augment his personality and development; it makes him less engaging for me, and it’s begun to take its toll as he gains more attention than the rest of the ninja. Do I hate Lloyd? No, I don’t. But these days, I find him bland in comparison to the other five ninja.
SnowTiger 77 it’s weird because at first they loved Kai, he was the main character had 3 seasons and you can argue he is still the main character or at least the second to Lloyd.
This was a really good critique. I do believe that Lloyd's character in that weird Oni saga was just character regression. Garmadon should have stayed dead because it gave Lloyd a reason to become a great warrior and sensei like him and his uncle. There was literally no reason for the writers to bring him back other than to ride off the movie. All it did was bring back to same storyline from the previous few arcs, which is terrible from a narrative stand point because instances like this happen and the story becomes stale. I haven't watched the new seasons, but I'm glad they gave other characters the spotlight because they seem to have no idea where to take Lloyd's character anymore.
Like you said, Lloyd just needs a different story to focus on. And there needs to balance among the characters or else everything just becomes really boring
Whilst I got to agree with you here I feel you left out his biggest problems, his character dynamics or his lack of them. Compare him to who seems to being often considered the worst ninja, Cole. When Cole's with Kai he's more snarky often pointing out his terrible ideas, with Jay they have very brotherly back and forth where they dig at each other but are also clearly shown to care for each other (Both of these are shown quite well in a season 11 episode where Kai calls Jay expendable and Cole immediately snaps back with "You're one to talk!" Whereas if he's with say Nya he shows a much more sympathetic side (Shown well in Skybound when asked about why sailors personifi their ships he at first quips but then once Lloyd leaves and it's just him and Nya he gives her a more serious answer that reassures her on her fears about Jay) Now put Lloyd with all these characters and no Matter which he was with he'd act the same.
Yeah cause he's leader. Why should he act any dif... OOOOOh thats right (Kai wanted to become the green ninja and ninjago developers didn't take any of this into account.) Welp...
@Master Tahu Master Tahu Of the three dynamics I mentioned only one was just "Pointless arguing" which I'd argue isn't pointless as it is often used for some great verbal humour or for tension and in neither of the two situations mentioned Lloyd "looked for a solution" in both he just was there and did nothing (heck even if he did something that wouldn't make him a more interesting character) also, who died?
I agree with you on many points Lloyd is a good character it's just that they reused the same idea over and over again. If they changed this than it would give him a lot more character development and I do think that he's overshadowing the other ninja at this point even though they all have great characters and backgrounds that have been ignored because of Lloyd having issues with his father. Lloyd's still my favorite character but I think the writers are overusing him and are discarding the other characters that I also like a lot
I honestly feel like his character has really changed for the worse these past few seasons,,, he just hasn't felt the same AT ALL. He's one of my favorite characters but they really have to move away from him for a bit.
Vinny Of NGTV News so did I, but I was just upset at Garmadons character arc through the trilogy as I thought they were building up to something but then he just left!
Arkade Studios true, i was hoping that he would probably become a sensei again, due to the effects of the tornado of creation cleansing his oni side but nope, he just left unaffected.
I mean Lloyd is the green ninja and can harness the four elemental powers and is the team leader. Him being a casual ninja will kinda take away him and his special role. Idk just me
@@krystel6995 who cares, his character is one of the worst in the show and it gets repetitive to have the focus on him every season whereas before the focus was on a different ninja every season
Even though Lloyd is my fav ninja, him being the main character is getting boring. Like it worked in seasons 2 and 8 but really, give Cole a season, and Jay, Zane, and Nya another season.
Personally, I coul have all seasons be about Lloyd and be fine with it. That doesn't mean that the points in the video aren't valid. But I think that's not on Lloyd (because I think that would still be the case if others were the main characters), but simply on the writers. I mean, they did duck up the character development pretty much. Like, seriously. That's not Lloyd's fault. It's the writer's.
If you say Lloyd’s boring and he is your favorite then how does that work and Lloyd already was made fun of in the LEGO Ninjago movie so STOP being b***’s about him
Another Lloyd arc I have a problem with is his whole becoming a sensei thing, but the problem with it is that it’s moving so slowly that it’s becoming hard to care about it.
Lloyd has to be my favourite character throughout the series but as the series went on, Lloyd started becoming more and more emotionally hurt and mentally weak. I feel like that shows his personality of caring for others but feel like this personality trait of his only showed after his “breakup” with Harumi. (Just my opinion)
The only reason lloyd isnt my absolute fave character is because he gets too much spotlight but otherwise I totally love him he is a good character but just too much spotlight
Seasons possibilities: Jay:is adopted, funny and he could have a better season than skybound Cole:His mother is death, his father is away, and day of departed suck Zane:s11 is looking him...yet Kai:he could be a better main character(s0,s7) Nya:Kaix2 Lloyd:He is..."EsPeCiaL" Lego:lEtS pUt LlOyD AgAin!
When I was a kid and the first seasons were coming out I always felt like Kai was more of a main character. Idk why he was just more iconic I guess? Kai was just on all the merch all the time.
100000% true. I have always said that I hate how Lloyd is a main character, even when it's another character's season. He is a good character and I'll be honest, but I think other ninjas need more credit and Lloyd isn't even that heroic. But I do like the new voice actor Sam vincent who plays Lloyd in Sons of Garmadon to season 11, he's cool
Jay Walker Or it has a far deeper meaning on the ways of life indicating the reverse operation of all blacks look the same diverse it and tranquilize it and it is to be proven in the show that all white races look the same proving it has a far deeper meaning than the eye can see
Tbh my biggest problem with lloyd is that he gets too much attention from the other ninja even the 4 main ninja. Even in the seasons not about him he steals the spotlight from that main character (I'm looking at you season 4 that was supposed to be a kai season And that was my biggest problem with the Lego ninjago movie and I hated it. That's why lloyd is barely in my top 10 favorite characters. The 4 original ninja are in my top 4 favorite characters 4. Kai 3. Zane 2. Cole 1. Jay
Wait when Lloyd said unless my light is bright enough that’s physically and scientifically impossible even if his light was bright enough it would still create shadows
Hfmasters thanks man, it was hard pretending to be afraid while being held captive by aspheera but it was worth it! More of this in episode 9, this time I will try to act it out as if it isn’t staged by me or anything lol
I agree with this..but I just don't like Lloyd as a whole. He's treated as better and more special than the other ninja and the other ninja always have to look so idiotic in comparison to Lloyd. And what makes it worse is, the other ninja have more experience. He's also boring as hell.
Kai is a better main character than him and had the second most seasons. That and Kai was the original so he was many people’s first impression of the series
I have to agree on about Lloyd being a boring character. When they decided to turn Kai into a comic relief character I got so mad, we have Jay who is an excellent comic relief character, We don't need Kai to be one.My favorite ninja is Kai, they should change Kai back into serious ninja! Let's talk about Lloyd, When I first saw Lloyd in season 1 I thought he was going to be the annoying character that nobody likes. When he was the green ninja he had a purpose. He "defeated" the over lord and I thought that was the only important thing.. BUT NO! Every single season Lloyd had a daddy problem, it's getting annoying. Even in the Lego ninjago movie! As I watched season 11 the ninja has their own scene and I liked that! If Lloyd's going to be the main character for future seasons please, PLEASE make it a new story! I haven't seen Lloyd grown as a character since season 2! All I need is that Lloyd has a new story for a season and that Kai doesn't be a comic relief!
I dont like how he just stole the spotlight from the other ninja its all now the Lloyd show and his character trait is the chosen one and he is just not as good as the original 4 but he did get a little better in the new seasons but big thing they should fix is take him out of the spotlight and move the other 5 into it and less him because Nya is one of the best storylines because it mirrors kai's story. transition to ninja but she is more interesting with it and Lloyd just shouldn't be the focus of the show
I know this video is gonna get hated on but I can't really argue against your main points, a lot of the stuff you said is true although I don't think it's as bad as you make it out to be.
Kai had the pilots and seasons 4 and 11. Only the pilots weren’t a season. Kai did absolutely nothing in season 4 finale. And Kai hardly had any focus in season 11.
Honestly Lloyd has always been my least favorite simply because HE HAS NO PERSONALITY It wasn’t until season 8 where they finally fixed him and made a great leader who doesn’t sound like he’s 2 and he has a personality trait.
Season 8 Lloyd season is fair. He hasn’t had one since season 2. Season 9 is also fair. It focuses less on Lloyd and a lot on wu and the other ninja so it’s more balanced. Those two seasons should have been it, he finished his arc. Season 10, since it’s marketed as the finale of masters of spinjitzu, the 4 og ninja should have been the main characters. Literally the oni trilogy is Lloyd 70 percent, everyone else 30 percent. But whatever now Lloyd has 4 seasons, that’s basically as much as Kai. That’s fair. BUT THEN SEASON 11, which is supposed to be a Kai and Zane season, ends up being a Lloyd season. WHY?!? THATS 4 IN A ROW!!!
IRK! don't get me wrong Lloyd is my favourite character but I also HATE HIM!!! like he steals the spotlight to much 🙄 like Season 11 is MENT TO FOCAS ON ZANE AND KAI AND A *LITTLE* NYA!!! BUT no it turns to be a LLOYD Season all of a sudden- honestly don't care if he's the GREEN NINJA it doesn't give him an excuse for him to steal the spotlight just because your the most powerful doesn't mean you need the attention 🙄
You know what? I've been thinking about this for a long time now and Lloyd was the main character with the same story line all the time, like it was pretty predictable, but Lloyd is my fav so it wasn't too bad for me but I do agree the other characters should stand out more
Dont really have problems with lloyd or any main character I dont really mind the kind of repetitive stuff from lloyd and garmadon because i like both characters (lloyd isnt boring to me) and they have different scenes and dialogs that don’t feel to repetitive besides the obvious, also the scenes you chose for the start for lloyd those were one of barley any lines that were weak and most of them are from the first 3 seasons, he really has some good interesting lines for the entire show and it shows that hes maturing and learning during the seasons. Also for the season 9 thing, they were focusing 2 different characters, wu and lloyd Lloyd was obviously gonna have to face his father in the final while he also has no power (i already knew wu wasn’t gonna defeat garmadon though i guess it would have worked if he helped lloyd more but instead he helped the ninja take down the giant) , and plus they made lloyd lead up the moment to fight garamdon again since the first episode of season 9,the others are trying to go back to ninjago to fight off the sog (Though 1 thing was that i wish the dragon armor did some cool things like the dragon blade) also what were the SOG doing during the season 9 final, lol I liked this video because you really did tell me how repetitive it kinda is but i just said this because of some things i didn’t really agree with the video
I agree, i's hard to find kai fans, but i always preferred kai over lloyd even before the ninjago movie and m mad that they are ruining kai's character just for lloyd's daddy issues
I've never had problems with the Lloyd's character, but I understand why you look at him as a boring one. By the way, his lines in episode 26 are pretty dumb in english
@Master Tahu I was talking about the Jillian Michale's performance in that episode. As I'm used to the Latin Spanish version, I expected something more epic than something that would give me painful. That's why I said they were dumb IN ENGLISH, I didn't mean what the writers wanted to put or not
@Master Tahu I never said that she didn't do her best and I wasn't blaming her. I was just saying that Lloyd's dialogues in that sequence were painful to me in its original language than in mine because of Jillian's performance
I agree with most of your points except one, which is that in March of the Oni, the other ninja actually did serve a purpose. Without Kai, Jay, Cole and Zane the tornado of creation wouldn't have been possible, and while Lloyd was the one who came up with the idea, in terms of actually executing it, in my view he was more "just there"(and maybe nya as well in that case) more than any of the other ninja and garmadon and Wu. They actually needed the four original ninja(since they used the golden weapons which were needed to perform the tornado at all) and since garmadon had unlocked his true potential and Wu hadn't, the four original ninja's elements probably made up for that, which would make the elements of creation and destruction equal which would make golden power. Lloyd has none of that, and no Golden power anymore, so all he probably did was just give the tornado a little more power.
Dude, are u serious? You are overthinking this. They just wanted everyone to join in to make the tornado. And lloyd is since sog the only one who gets important roles/tasks. He found the last oni mask, he had to fight his father, joined his father fighting the oni etc. He even had a dream about the first spinjitsu master which led to nothing. In season 7, lloyd was developed into the leader of the ninja, but others came up with plans too, as well as shined in battles. Even in s11, the problem is still not completely gone. Lloyd is the one who had to ask things to sensei wu. In season 1-7 the ninja just rushed in to ask wu questions. Useless extra attention for lloyd
U are really over thinking, if lloyd didn't go with his father in the first place into the diamond crystal, they wouldn't find the golden armer to recreate the golden weapons and if lloyd didn't come up with the plan, they would've lose 😂
I think that at a certain point he's overrated then he just seems weak I'd actually prefer the ninja get used to using their powers but Lloyd was better with his dragon. L still like Lloyd though
ok, i'm not a 9 year old kid just bored in quarantine, but as a long time fan of the show who still keeps up with it, i definitely agree with a lot of your points. no matter who was the focus of the season, lloyd had some subplot related to the same thing. sure, they gave him a couple of romantic tropes (harumi and akita) but they were out of the blue and didn't add too much depth to his character (harumi more than akita). he was never my favorite character of the series, but that's not to say he has no positives. i really liked his development in the first 4-5 seasons. but seasons 8-10 REALLY just decided to do what seasons 1 and 2 did but in another context. seasons 11 and 12 did a better job at balancing everyone's roles out, i just hope they continue to do that
Lloyd is getting a bit boring with his constant daddy issues but there's another man problem I have noticed as with Kai and the other Ninja they all give him so much s*** he doesn't even deserve it he's had bad ideas ideas but everyone's had bad ideas but no one seems to care they just all blame it on Kai
Cuz he's the leader and the youngest and had bad backstroy so yup they care for him so much and he dose and if you think its funny to have daddy issus I had it what's so funny I know I agree he's over used
If ur gonna ask who's "cooler" in a situation where there is a man litteraly made out of ice and a fire snek, you would realize that the snowman would be therorically "cooler"
I am tired of the Lloyd-Garmadon plot and i hated that he got revived, let the dude rest in peace, they only did it because of little kids that came from the movie. Heck even the design is exactly the same as the one on the movie
I think it was stupid to bring Garmadon back in season 8 but before that Lloyd didn’t have too many issues with his dad. Like of course he had them but only reasonable amount.
Who tf said that Cole wasn't developed?? They did more experimental stuff with Cole than anyone else in the series Love triangle Becoming a Ghost Day of the Departed story arc Earth Punch The Skull Sorcerer story arc
Here is how I would change Lloyd’s story: He should’ve died after the overlord absorbed his powers in season 3, or maybe he should’ve drowned when the overlords dragon robot got destroyed. Season 4 would’ve kinda played out the same, but wu would sent garmadon to the cursed realm. That would have caused Lloyd to come out, but maybe as a villain because he is a ghost, and he would’ve possessed someone like Kai or wu. That would make for a real dark season about the ninja learning to let go of the past (Lloyd) and that sometimes, they have to do things that they don’t want to (either summon the ghost Lloyd back into the cursed realm, or killing him) Lloyd is one of my favorite characters, I would actually be really sad if what I said happened. Still, I would’ve been kinda ok with it.
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS!!! It seems like everyone loves Lloyd so much but to me and my brother think that he is just an annoying pig especially in the newer seasons. I sorta like him in season 1-7 but after that he just kinda annoys me ( no offense Lloyd lovers) He just is always in the spot light and it drives me CRAZY when he takes credit for what the team does and he says the weirdest things and his new self drives me CRAZY too!😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠 (Cole is definitely the best ninja ever:) (edit: I should say that I'm impressed with season 12 since the characters are nicely balanced so all is grand in the world of Ninjago:) THIS MANY PEOPLE DON'T LIKE LLOYD ⬇

Lloyd has daddy issues, it’s part of his story. He struggles with emotional attachment and that’s what he actually deals with in each of his seasons. Yes there are seasons where that’s his father but that’s because it’s the most important relationship in his life
For example in the evil zane season he won’t fight him either. That battle is the same. People don’t talk about it because it didn’t mean even almost as much to Lloyd so it wasn’t as impactful.
That’s why his fight with Harumi was such an important moment. It wasn’t just the plot but also the emotions.
And I know the video didn’t come out when so of the stuff I’m talking about did but
The new fight with Harumi vs Lloyd is such a good example of his character.

Wish garmadon had a older female descendant but not with misako!

I think it would have been cool if Cole had Oni blood and through the touch with the cloud he turns into an oni and becomes evil. I even wrote a whole script about him meeting Harumi who is recruiting Cole to turn against his friends and take revenge. Just look at him: He is the ninja that has made it through the most. My main problem with Lloyd is that even though if it's not his season, he still gets focused sooooo much on, for example;
Season 3 (Zane's Season)- The Overlord takes his Golden Power
Season 4 (Kai's Season)- Chen leaves him last to take his power
Season 5 (Could've been Cole or Nya's season)- Literally the whole season is about unpossessing him
Season 6 (Jays Season)- He's the Last Ninja to gets put in the Djinn Blade
Season 7 (Kai/Nya's Season) He has to take up Master Wu's place as the team leader
Season 9 (Wu's Season) Goes sicko mode in the last episode when he fights Garmadon
Season 10 (Cole I guess?) Of course he goes to this grass land lookin thing and meets the First Spinjitsu Master

He literally got kissed twice in the seasons *(8 and 11)* by harumi and then akita like wat da hecc

🗿🗿🗿🗿🗿🗿
Like you said, Lloyd just needs a different story to focus on. And there needs to balance among the characters or else everything just becomes really boring
Completely agree with this, he always gets the spotlight instead of some one other like Zane, Zane barely gets recognized in s9 and s10

@@thehumblefamily1988 no he doesn't
Damn you're right
Yeah cause he's leader.
@@Jbread456 I'm not saying his dynamics need to be the same as Cole's I'm just saying he needs any sort of connection with the rest of the leads

Honestly Lloyd has always been my least favorite simply because HE HAS NO PERSONALITY
It wasn’t until season 8 where they finally fixed him and made a great leader who doesn’t sound like he’s 2 and he has a personality trait.

Dont really have problems with lloyd or any main character
I dont really mind the kind of repetitive stuff from lloyd and garmadon because i like both characters (lloyd isnt boring to me) and they have different scenes and dialogs that don’t feel to repetitive besides the obvious, also the scenes you chose for the start for lloyd those were one of barley any lines that were weak and most of them are from the first 3 seasons, he really has some good interesting lines for the entire show and it shows that hes maturing and learning during the seasons. Also for the season 9 thing, they were focusing 2 different characters, wu and lloyd
Lloyd was obviously gonna have to face his father in the final while he also has no power (i already knew wu wasn’t gonna defeat garmadon though i guess it would have worked if he helped lloyd more but instead he helped the ninja take down the giant) , and plus they made lloyd lead up the moment to fight garamdon again since the first episode of season 9,the others are trying to go back to ninjago to fight off the sog
(Though 1 thing was that i wish the dragon armor did some cool things like the dragon blade) also what were the SOG doing during the season 9 final, lol

I guess but by that logic, the other ninja had a big role in the ninjago move because without them, Lloyd would have died in a volcano
@@certifiedtrash3152 actually if lloyd wasn't with kai in the valcano, kai wouldn't even unlock his true potential in the first place 😂
U are really over thinking, if lloyd didn't go with his father in the first place into the diamond crystal, they wouldn't find the golden armer to recreate the golden weapons and if lloyd didn't come up with the plan, they would've lose 😂
you do realise that as Lloyd is the green ninja, it was confirmed that Lloyd would survive so with out the prophecy, would kai have even done it
The dude has a point 😏. But I don't think Lloyd is the problem. They just need even it out between everyone.
I think that at a certain point he's overrated then he just seems weak I'd actually prefer the ninja get used to using their powers but Lloyd was better with his dragon. L still like Lloyd though
ok, i'm not a 9 year old kid just bored in quarantine, but as a long time fan of the show who still keeps up with it, i definitely agree with a lot of your points. no matter who was the focus of the season, lloyd had some subplot related to the same thing. sure, they gave him a couple of romantic tropes (harumi and akita) but they were out of the blue and didn't add too much depth to his character (harumi more than akita). he was never my favorite character of the series, but that's not to say he has no positives. i really liked his development in the first 4-5 seasons. but seasons 8-10 REALLY just decided to do what seasons 1 and 2 did but in another context. seasons 11 and 12 did a better job at balancing everyone's roles out, i just hope they continue to do that
Lloyd is my 7th favorite character in ninjago
I agree with you bro, Lloyd has been the main character for too long. I mean why can't Cole be the main character
Cuz he's the leader and the youngest and had bad backstroy so yup they care for him so much and he dose and if you think its funny to have daddy issus I had it what's so funny
I know I agree he's over used
@@lloydmontgomerygarmadon4970And if there gonna over use him at least don't be repetitive
remember when he said season 11 wouldn't have an important role and kai wouldn't be 1 dimensional, funny and so naive.
Quick question who do you think is cooler The Ice Emperor or Aspheera?
If ur gonna ask who's "cooler" in a situation where there is a man litteraly made out of ice and a fire snek, you would realize that the snowman would be therorically "cooler"
ice emperor
LOL!
We haven't seen the ice emperor yet though
Lloyd is my favorite character but you’re totally right that he takes up too much and it’s always the same arc all the time
-Daddy issues- smh
Even thought Lloyd is my favorite ninja,i agree with you
I like Lego ninjago season 1-7 and i found it good until the redesign and he didn't have too much dad issues, he is emotional
The redesign made me cringe, why didn't the keep the hair the way it was? Some people to cut their hair once in a while
I am tired of the Lloyd-Garmadon plot and i hated that he got revived, let the dude rest in peace, they only did it because of little kids that came from the movie. Heck even the design is exactly the same as the one on the movie
I think it was stupid to bring Garmadon back in season 8 but before that Lloyd didn’t have too many issues with his dad. Like of course he had them but only reasonable amount.
@@ieathands2248No it didn't the threw dirt on Garmadon's redemption
Random question what is your favorite s11 set mines the katana 4x4
Lloyd titan mech
Hfmasters ironic
Ha
I mean Lloyd is literally a little kid in the first series so the fact he said childlike albatross banter is authentic
Who tf said that Cole wasn't developed??
They did more experimental stuff with Cole than anyone else in the series
Love triangle
Becoming a Ghost
Day of the Departed story arc
Earth Punch
The Skull Sorcerer story arc
Here is how I would change Lloyd’s story:
He should’ve died after the overlord absorbed his powers in season 3, or maybe he should’ve drowned when the overlords dragon robot got destroyed.
I sorta like him in season 1-7 but after that he just kinda annoys me ( no offense Lloyd lovers) He just is always in the spot light and it drives me CRAZY when he takes credit for what the team does and he says the weirdest things and his new self drives me CRAZY too!😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠 (Cole is definitely the best ninja ever:) (edit: I should say that I'm impressed with season 12 since the characters are nicely balanced so all is grand in the world of Ninjago:)
THIS MANY PEOPLE DON'T LIKE LLOYD

Zane is definitely the best :P
@@banapotato6940 yes Zane is my 2 nd favorite character! He is one of the few characters I like in the newer seasons.
Well his new self is better
Lloyd Montgomery Garmadon yeah, in season 8+ he’s okay, well better than before, ha was so annoying
