Best thing about riding a motorcycle is getting lost. Was in the process of purchasing a 2016 street bob with stage 2 but now got to wait 4-6 weeks because of covid19 lockdown. Happy tho all for the best
I have heard a lot of people say that Ohlins suspension is not that good when you take the cost into consideration. I use Hagon Nitros here in England - under house arrest - and while they are maybe not the best you can buy, they are reasonably priced. I bought mine nearly 11 years ago and only recently had them rebuilt with new gas/oil damper units. Whilst I was at Hagons I got talking with them about how frequently they need rebuilding and was told that the oil in the dampers get thinner with use so every two to three years is recommended ( - oops ! ) as the gas in the unit can leak out past the seals anyway. Think about that for a moment.... engine oil gets thinner and is changed as does your fork oil so maybe it is more important to get rebuildable rear shocks. I bought them for £300 English funds, and now they are about £400. I had them rebuilt with new damper units and new bushes in the mounts and that was £150. OK so maybe not for you guys in the States, but are RWD shocks rebuildable or can you afford maybe 900 bucks every couple of years..... Also, fitting slightly longer shocks than standard will give you more lean-angle and will make the 'bars seem lower as well as slightly steepen the fork's angle of rake and lessen the amount of trail as well as put more of your weight on the front end and that'll be better for handling.
It's easy to miss that exit - been there brother. Good to know we're on the same page with the 'Rona lockdown madness too. A lot of dumb chit out there for sure.
Nice video, well put together. I watched your handelbar install video but still running stock. Are you keeping this handelbar after switching to a lower one? Let me know if it's up for grabs
How do you feel about GP suspension? I'll be running RWD for the rear and was stoked to hear they were doing front cartridges, but after they released...nothing ghost town. No reviews and no info on their website. Also, have you thought about going +2 in the front?
First and foremost brother, love your channel! I’m a grunt Devil Dog, 2002-2012, so I cannot tell you much about you airwingers. Would still love a sticker because hey, the air wing saved my ass many times in Fallujah. 2/7 to the death.
Just want to support my fellow service member by subscribing. Enjoy the Vlog, dude, hit me up if you riding North of Malibu. Get some taco in Santa Barbara. I have 2020 FXDLS that I'm still trying to upgrade.
I feel like I should know the answer to whom the “father” is but I don’t . And I don’t want to be a damn cheater by googling it either, so good luck to the next guy
I recently just switched out my 13 inch Lucky Daves to Big Al’s 8 inch pullback and Thrashin Supply’s mid bend bar. 12 inches total and 30 inches wide. The biggest difference I found is with width. Lucky Daves is about 28 inches wide vs Thrashin’s 30. Big difference in leverage and control. I see lots of people run Lucky Daves riser bar (29 inches wide) and Big’s Al’s 6/8 inch pullback risers (the thicker, bulkier risers) and they love that set up! I also have legends in the rear and racetech in the front. and daaamn, what a difference compared to stock (I have a 17 Dyna). Cornering and high speeds is way more confidence inspiring. WAY MORE! I also used 15W oil on the front forks. Lower bars and suspension - you’re gonna love your bike even more!
Thankyou for the info I can’t wait to change the bar setup I think after a year I really just wanna try something new also 15k miles on the premium suspension I’m ready to upgrade
dynademos I live in LA but I was just there last week. Picked up some bars and preload adjusters.. I think they’re temporarily closed for now. Check out all the bikes in their shop once they open again - you’ll love it there
Hell yea, dude! Keep it up, we need that DynaDemos magic! Went for a quick rip with the wife, great weather today! 😎
