    Bought my Lelit Mara X about 6 months ago. Purchased flow control kit at the same time, but waited to install it so I could get really familiar with the results from the stock machine. I'm glad that I waited, but even gladder that I finally installed the kit yesterday. It was a super easy install, & I'm definitely impressed with the results. I've only pulled 4-5 shots so far, with the Sweeet Bump for light roast & a declining profile for dark roast. Very noticeable improvement, especially in the dark roast! Thx TMB.

    Thanks a lot for the grinder setting refrence. I got the same because I saw your video using it with the Gaggia Classic Pro which I also got because of your recommendation as well. For this I use 3F currently. Had to tighten the screws on the bottom, so the micro adjustment doesn't shakes to the coarser settings while grinding.

    Hey man, love your videos and all the details you mention in them. Was thinking about installing a flow control kit to my Mara X but I'm hesitant after reading about thermal instability and some other issues mentioned in some forums. Did you experience any problems since you installed the kit? And do you think adding this kit is a significant level up for this machine? Waiting for your comments!

    Hello and thank you for the videos.
    I hesitate to install this system on my Rocket Appartamento. Some say it won't allow it (ceramic parts...), weird...
    that said, I see the Coffee Sensor, the ECM device, the Quick Mill, ... have you studied the different systems or are they all the same? It seems that the Coffee Sensor is a little less expensive.
    Another question: is there a website page referencing profiling models?
    Thanks for your help.

    Is your Mara set to 9 Bar or is it the factory Bar on the OPV?

  • @prawiro9698
    @prawiro9698 2 года назад +1

    Hi, in your video when you pull the brew lever, why is the pressure instantly go to 9 bar? I thought Lelit Mara X used a vibratory pump that has a very slow ramp-up to max pressure? Please kindly give insights 😊

      I’m curious too, although I think it’s because of the spring being replaced that comes with the flow control kit.

    • @soyarysunthorn
      @soyarysunthorn 2 года назад

      @@philyb3883 you’re right. The flow control spring essentially bypasses the factory “pre infusion” ramp up.

    Great video! Flow profiles are a blast. When you set your sette to 2 was that with shims?

    TMB love your videos and have been watching well before you had 500 subscribers. Recently purchased a Profitec Pro 500 PID and love it thus far, E61 for the win! Currently I have a group head thermo installed but if I decide to go the flow control route I would need to remove that. What would you recommend.... Thermo to track Group Head/Brew Water Temp or Flow Control?

      @tmb-themajesticbeanchannel1746  2 года назад +1

      You don't need to remove it if you don't want to. The flow profiler comes with a pressure gauge,, which kinda doesn't do much because the flow profiler controls the water flow and not the water pressure :)

    Nice video
    As I saw at my machine, no flow control, only playing with opv setting, if you drop the pressure too much, say goodbye to the acidity, complex high elevation coffee, becomes flat

    Thanks a lot for your videos, are you still happy with the mara x? Don't you think in Bianca? I'm still hesitant between both of them! Not able to take a decision! Simply I'm drinking only 2 - 3 milk drinks per day, I believe MaraX will be fulfilling my needs but my question is, does Bianca will produce better results or just similar qualities but with some additional features will not affect the taste?

    • @tmb-themajesticbeanchannel1746
      @tmb-themajesticbeanchannel1746  2 года назад

      Mara X all day mate, it's such great value for money. The Bianca is a dual boiler machine and is better, but that doesn't mean it would increase the cup quality

    Nice video but it would be easier if you just used the pressure gauge you installed and referred to what pressure you aimed at during the shots that way I could try the recipes with my dimmer mod on my GC
