Born and brought up in Melaka, I more prefer seeing my state's eco-friendly "lush greenery state" and more traditional villages & houses. Melaka has it's own identity and why comparing & compete with other states like Selangor, KL,JB & Penang to build highrise buildings???? Melaka's population is getting very smaller and so our beautiful kampung...And what is the return of these megaprojects? Seems Melaka is becoming home to the white elephant projects. Instead, either state government or investor injecting the money into these projects, spend wisely to improve the infrastructure like transportation/road ( which is really in need for Melaka) , FDI to feed more Malaccan jobs within the state..Nowadays it's almost not possible to run a business successfully in Melaka as the locals migrated to other states for job & education, and only old people enjoying the retirement days..Melaka should be balance .Remember, highrise buildings are not the symbol of development!!! Prosperity among the local Malaccan is the development....And wait..Melaka is getting very very hot & dry even you are in AC room/car.......I really missing the 90's kampung days in Melaka....

As a malaccan here are things that I am concern about! 1. It reclaimed land so let’s say Mother Nature takes a visit... you’ll be the first to lose your property 2. If a snail can travel from Melaka to KL it would have reached.. that’s how slow the progress is 3. Sudden increase of PRC people in Melaka is worrying.. half can’t even communicate in English. What are they doing here? 4. Traffic is a disaster over the weekend in Melaka... before they plan to build they don’t plan the road Meh? 5. How many of the houses are affordable for locals??? Mainly build for Singapore only... how locals can benefit from all this project??? Work opportunity? Haha... earn can spend can’t! Because All will be feeling expensive after all the atas people move in... 6. Don’t sell our country to China pls
