I manage the venue where this was held. Watched it first hand. Tai’s knee was fucked up after that fight. Watched him hobble out of the venue after and you could see the pain he was hiding. Dudes a beast. And a great character.
I was there that night and spoke to tai in the back. He said he wasn't sure if he was going to be able to finish the fight because his knee was so messed up and that he was glad the guy quit first

mcsweeney quit, gave up. who goes to rhe ref i cant see through my left eye, he knows its a automatic loss, mcsweenys promoter, manager didnt make that decision, mcsweeny quit.
Old mate had no vision problems. True vision loss he would be on his way to the hospital/ophthalmologist to to make sure he didnt have a retinal detachment. McSweeney had no depth perception loss as he went to shake Tai's hand, and looked directly at him into his eye. He couldn't go out and take anymore punishment from Tai.
