the pixel will grow further in 2025 discord: discord.gg/pixelgrew-1150040799569002586 Happy New Year everyone! I thank all of you for an amazing 2024, and I could never imagine me even remotely getting this far. I have an idea for short-form content I can pump out DAILY where I will always have video ideas, however, it might be on a different channel... Either that or I will be moving any new server ads I make for Pixelgrew to a different channel, and will be releasing the shorts here. I have had the idea to make videos similar to Zack Films, however, I can do it in the Minecraft-style. If you are someone skilled with Mine-imator or blender, and you think you can get 3D animations out efficiently, and can possibly pull off an x-ray effect like in those videos, reach out to me on my Discord server. I just finished editing this video, and, last month I didn't really feel like making videos. I am glad I got to end off 2024 with a viral Minecraft video that I came up with on my own. I look forward to this year and maybe we'll make it to 100k soon :)
@awethebird When I wrote the script which was days ago, I wrote and read out 18 million, the screenshot of the Chrome store I took was yesterday. 17 million now.
I think many people forget that Honey isn't the only one doing this. There are MANY other scam extensions that others use, and they should be taken down too.
I took it out as most people said they were 2x speeding the video then just going back to 1x speed. The long-forms in terms of pacing are even faster paced than my original shorts, and that's because people have no attention span and it infuriates me. This video has a 50% watch retention and has sustained it after removing the Squid Game intro, which I'll likely put back after a week
"Now, if you're watching this video, you've probably already watched Megalag's new video on Honey's practices." Nah, I'm watching this because I like you and enjoy your content. (: It's also hilarious that this is only _now_ coming out considering how long it's been around and been able to be dissected. But then, I'm sure some of the extensions _I_ use, like _XKit Rewritten, Text Blaze,_ or _DF Tube_ probably send my information all over Hell's half-acre. Then again, _Chrome_ itself does the same thing~ Ah, well.
As I said, I "assumed" that Honey was making their money back by simply inserting their referral codes when attempting every single coupon all the way back in 2018 but shrugged it off because I just didn't care. I figured people were fine with this and it should be OBVIOUS that when the coupon code that's being used all the time is "HONEY" or something similar before checking out. People should have been able to pick up on it. Back then I would once in a while look at Reddit for deals and noticed the rule prohibiting anyone from posting referral codes, so I was like "yeah that's probably how Honey is making their money back" then I shrugged it off. And guess what, Linus spoke publicly about this on his forums about this years ago, and other people on his forums complained before LTT dropped Honey. The post I showed at 2:32 was from a MASSIVE high-end community that contains tech engineers who likely make on average over $100k per year each and are involved with giant tech companies/startups. They didn't make a stink about this compared to the degree of what Megalag complained about. Megalag did the right thing because Honey's founder said they were making commissions back from retailers, but, it was clearly not picking the best coupons and they didn't disclose that they were poaching sales commissions of any content creator who was there first.
the intro may have killed this video. 500 views in 12 hours means something is wrong edit: intro has been removed. Now loading old video data..... first 30 seconds was the squid game season 2 clip of this guy telling them something. but instead of the normal stuff he was talking about honey and how its a scam, kinda like a psa. while this is happening the background is replaced with images related to the honey scam. after about 30 seconds it clips to the cube dimensions intro CybyAPI! search with POWER!
This video just got 300 views in an hour, the video was originally a different title and thumbnail, which I revised the 3 thumbnails. I have cut the intro out for now. I cut stuff out ALL THE TIME even if it took me an hour to make. The Squid Game intro took me two hours to edit (partially because I was learning magic mask at the same time) I can revert the removal of the intro after this video's views go down, which I probably will do. This video may have done better if I had made this video a week ago rather than today. I wanted to take a small break after the gift card video.
another person saw that video and then watched other videos about honey This makes sense, if you were recommended the syrup video that means you were likely also watching other honey videos and would also likely continue watching honey videos
bro didnt immediately realize, that sounds like cap i mean it might be true but like no one cares about sponsors also by the way some random referal code used for peoples familys most likely isn't published on the internet anyway even though honey is censoring codes.
I saw referrals codes EVERYWHERE on the subreddits and saw rules telling people not to post them onto those subreddits. If you look for Doordash coupon codes even today some people will try to distribute their referrals codes unless it's against the rules. You say no one cares about sponsors, yet 20 million people installed this app. What I meant was that Honey could literally obtain their own referral codes from not just Doordash but all the other platforms. In the affiliate programs, yes, you don't even need a referral code, just a link for someone to click on. I am not lying, I assumed Honey was likely just inserting their own referral codes when they tried every coupon code and shrugged it off, however I did not know they were specifically hijacking the affiliate cookie. One of the things Honey also can do is simply redirect you/open the affiliate link within the browser without you noticing it and redirecting you back. The return Honey was getting in exchange for paying the tens of thousands of dollars per sponsor was an actual return, and that's what is concerning here.
@@cubedimensions ok but like im not defending honey but like why would they put companys refferal codes (like doordash) if thats against the rules? like doordash would be pissed. Also i do know that honey was only bought by paypal in 2020 but like they could've removed the ability to pay with paypal if they were auto filling refferal codes but i mean your example was 2018 so that didnt really matter back then. yeah i was wrong about no one cares about sponsors (since it was free) but like most people dont really think about using an exstention if its free. some of you're wording in the video and your comment i couldn't really understand so i kinda just had to assume some things. also if u didnt know in 2018, then why we're you mentioning that? like honey = scam but still. i mean i cant really explain anymore because some of your wording confuses me. my wording probably confuses you because i am not that good at writing. (im not saying ur bad at writing btw)
I continually tell you people that these videos barely get any views the first 12 hours then they suddenly blow up. Not every video is going to get as many views rapidly as the DanTDM and MrBeast stuff. The magenta video was at 3k views it's first 12 hours after upload.
