My hubby and I sailed on Wind Song in 1987 for our honeymoon, this was my first ever cruise and a wedding gift from my in-laws and my very first travel experience including flight. I was completely thunderstruck as we sailed to French Polynesia. I was in my mid Twenties and felt I was on top of the world. 😊 A great beginning to my marriage. We met 2 couples that we are still friends with and travel with today. One of the lady’s had a terrific wardrobe and she lent me several cocktail dresses for the formal dinners. She also treated me to the salon on board for a new haircut and makeup. I never had that type of attention before growing up in an impoverished family, the only girl out of 7 boys. This lady friend (Grace) traveled with several pieces of luggage and a huge trunk. Needless to say I conceived my son on this trip and Grace and her hubby are his Grandparents. We still cruise the high seas to this day but the Windstar Cruises are anything but ordinary. I am now inspired to cruise again on this line for our Wedding Anniversary, thank you for this wonderful vlog, I appreciate your time and dedication of bringing all the glamour and elegant content to your channel. Loved it all, and I am glad you have a good friend Aisha to share your life with. Of course a shout out to your handsome hubby and his balcony singing concert. Thank you and God Bless.
Wow that’s incredible! It’s so fun to make cruise friends, we have some from our first virgin cruise :) I would looooove to do one of the Windstar cruises in French Polynesia or any South Pacific areas, I think that would be such an incredible way to experience that part of the world!
Wow, I just came across your channel. This was a fantastic video. We stayed at the Broadmoor for the first time in 2023 and it was amazing. It's our new tradition to go every Thanksgiving now!!!!
What a fabulous trip! I’ve been enjoying your travel and style blogs very much! We are going to Paris soon and I have been picking up some pointers! 💕🧳
I went on this trip last fall but on the Windsurf. We also took the train. Unfortunately no one our train spoke English and we didn't know where to get off. Finally using Google translator we were able to figure out our stop. Rome was fun but the coliseum and the Vatican were packed. We have 5 Windstar cruises booked. Our next cruise Athens to Istanbul in 3 weeks on the Legend. Love Windstar
Ohh yeah it’s tough with the language barrier! My biggest hack for almost always making sure I’m going the right way on foreign public transport is to map out the journey on the Apple Maps app on my phone…google maps also works but basically it will tell you from your starting point to your destination which line to get on in what direction, how many stops to go and which stop you need to get off on. Has totally helped me navigate so many cities without getting lost!
It was pretty rocky on our voyage, but I hear that’s typical for the Mediterranean during winter. I wore sea sickness patches behind my ears and that helped, I also had the sea bands which I would also wear if I felt I needed it. Overall it wasn’t too bad, but I do feel like I have a higher tolerance for sea sickness
Thank you for this. I’m considering booking this exact cruise for this winter and this really helped a lot with my decision. How do you think Windstar would be for a solo cruiser?
I think it could work really well for a solo cruiser! It definitely has a smaller capacity and I feel like that definitely makes people more likely to chat and interact with each other, because likely you’ll be bumping into the same people often. But if you are more of a keep to yourself person, I could see it also being a pretty chill way to see some incredible destinations and the ship provides a very luxurious setting for when you’re done exploring each day :)
I would guess they are very attentive to that. I didn’t pay too much attention to that because I don’t have any dietary restrictions and neither did anyone in our group, but I did notice on the menu they had menu items clearly marked as to what was gluten free or vegan/vegetarian. I also remember them asking at the beginning of our meals if anyone had any allergies or restrictions. Their service is top notch so I can’t imagine that they don’t place a lot of care and guidance with the food for the guests who have restrictions
Do they have swimsuit party’s on the ship? My wife has told me if we ever go on a cruise ship that she wants to see me in a leopard speedo and she is going to wear a leopard thong bikini. What would you think and say if you saw us wearing those?
Do you have any questions about the Windstar experience? Drop them below, and I'll do my best to answer them!

This is the most heartwarming story 🥲
Great video! Charming, informative, professional! 🍾🍸
Thanks so much Mickey!
One of the best videos I have seen, great job. We are getting ready to do our second Windstar cruise. Love the smaller ships and the crew are amazing.

I enjoyed this video very much. Thank you for producing an informative and entertaining video!
Glad you enjoyed it!
We did windstar 8 years ago for our honeymoon to the Mediterranean in late fall. It was amazing! I highly recommended it. We want to go again!
Such a great experience, was way less overwhelming than a typical large cruise!
Love your videos as always! 🥰 This looks amazing! Im about to go on my first cruise ever with Virgin Voyages so I've watched all of your VV videos! ❤️
Thank you!!!! What Virgin cruise? I have our last one from Greece/croatia last summer that I still haven’t uploaded yet 🫠😂
A very stunning job, Jessica!❤❤

Did you know that this ship stared in the underrated 1997 film, Speed 2: Cruise Control, with Sandra Bullock? It’s such a cool looking ship.
Wait, really?! That’s crazy!

Hello! I love your video! Great content. My question is did you get sea sick or feel like the boat rocked more than a larger cruise ship?
Oh I just got to 15:30, in your video! Any other details on sea sickness greatly appreciated!!

how is the internet?
It worked well enough for answering emails, surfing the web, social media, etc. anything more than that and it struggled for sure
How are they with dairy and gluten allergies
