- BUT IS IT ANY GOOD?
After crashing my new TC-01 Formula E Gen2 RC last year it has lived on the shelf with no replacement body. Well now is the time to switch it up a bit and fit a handful of Hop-Up option parts and try out a new body, a rally body!
Can this really work or have I finally low it.

Had mine since Sep 2020 and FINALLY opened it this month and am putting together. Such a lovely kit. Taking my time and enjoying the build! Glad you got yours back up and going.
Nicely done Gav.
I love this type of video. Maybe you could make a series of "I smashed my rc, now it's converted to a......"
Love it. I'm considering getting this chassis for a convert myself.
Haha +1 on that comment 😊
HAHAHAHA I love your sponsor commercial 😂😂 Guilty on all those ❤️ great video by the way 😊👍
Nicely done! I love the rally cars!!
Love the way you use the word investment
Nice video Gavin. Your production and editing has really gone to the next level.
I was watching one of your first videos the other day and it's amazing how far you have come ( no offence mate 😂)
Congratulations and i hope the subscribers keep rolling in for you.
Cheers from Australia.
Big respect there no 7 petter soldberg one of my favourite rally driver
Super awesome build! Not afraid of the dirt one bit. The task of cleaning is the tradeoff. Terrific video! thanks
Glad you liked it!
i have just received my killerbody lancia delta and i am very impressed with it so far although when cutting the body out (i got the unpainted version of it) i cut the front spoiler off (hanging on by a piece of tiny plastic) but other than that it's all going together very well i'm doing the job backwards i'''m putting the stickers and accessories on first then paint it
when i got the stickers out of the packet i noticed that when you buy the unpainted version you only get the stickers to do a road car version with it you have to buy the livery stickers for it separately
it comes with everything you need including the light buckets if you want to add lights to it
Killerbodys are great. Also have one
That body is super nice. Loving the rally content.
Looks cool this
Music from tarantula collective, great build do love a Subaru would never thought of that chassis for a rally platform
very nice
Superb video! Love how it came out. Looks to perform very well in the gravel.
Suspension needs to be a bit softer for gravel but I will use it on tarmac more myself.
Awesome video as always
Thanks!
Nice conversation, tamiya rally is my favorite and I think they look better with dust on so I don't clean mine 👌
Right on
The TC01 looks like an awesome chassis, it's a shame it's a wee bit too expensive....
That body looks even better after it looked like it competed on a few stages ;)
Any more running video with tc01 and xv02?
Wonder if you could modify the suspension a bit with an adapter plate & longer screws that goes into the chassis kind of like a brace & then 3d printed a arms that has the ball ends mount on from top instead of from the bottom for some more angle on the top a arm & then shaving off some plastic on the chassis so the bottom a arm has more movement, that would give it like 5 - 7 mm more i bet.
Perhaps hubs all around that lowers the drive axle down a mm or two as well, though that might require cvd's too clear the A arms.
I think that replacing the arms with XV01 or Reversible arms (they are surprisingly capable after some filing) would be easier.
I see you got inspired by Tamiya Live :) From the announcement, I thought that TC01 would be a nice base platform for rally - buggy-like layout and plenty space for steering mechanism are great! Unfortunately, Tamiya almost killed it with integrated gearboxes.. Still, it could be pretty capable even on gravel with (modified) XV01 arms and some work around cantilevers.
Next thing is to soften up the suspension a bit more.
i loved this car and never crashed it but i put a set of foam tires for grip and broke my front diff i cant find any parts for it and its sitting in a rubber made for months wish i can find parts
❤️🔥❤️🔥
Would look great as a TOCA car.
Great video ! Can you put a link to the body? That body is awesome
Loads of people sell them so just google Killerbody RC
You're gonna need an air duster on that! 😁👍
It will stay like this as it will be driven.
Talking rally: the question of the month is if XV-01 is going to turn vintage with the new XV-02pro... I can't see this new chassis being better than the mighty XV-01. Also will other manufacturers put forward rally chassis?
More Rally! more Subaru's!!
From NX450h+? 18.1 kWh battery with 134 kW electric motor (179hp)???
What tyres are on the Xv01 they look like a great size 👍
I really like them but I can't remember now sorry. I was sent a link and some images so I picked some up a while back.
Hello sir,
Will the bodyshell Ford focus wrc 03 fit on this chassis?
Not sure sorry. I would check the wheelbase of the TC-01 and a car with the focus body on Tamiyabase to find out.
are you able to use a formula-e body as an inner shell? I have a Df03Ra with a Dark Impact body as an inner shell for the dirt and snow.
No chance but I have built a NIB DF03Ra on the show.
How do I buy a mug?
Are killer bodys American? Or can you order from a UK site. If so what's the postage and waiting times?
You can get them in the UK from UK resellers. Mine was about four days from placing the order.
It would have been kind of ironic if you're rally got run over by that blue truck at the beginning of your on road footage...🙄
