Thank you very much mate. I studied Music Production 5 years ago and moved on to Visual Arts and Uni before coming back to making music. I had bought at the time an APC Key 25 with Lite but lost the Serial Code over the years, which might had been useful now that I'm learning the Accordion. I have decided to get Standard with a Student discount, now that im in the last month or so of University lol. Have a great day, mate
What about drum rack capabilities between intro and standard? My buddy was saying he can't use the core library with intro to create a custom rack. Are there other limiting features like this with intro?
GREAT EXPLANATION. After listening to hours of nonsense all night, you made it clear that the Ableton Lite Software included with my M-Audio Oxygen Pro will be sufficient to begin creating music. Thank You.
As the man said in the video, it depends. When using Ableton with the Mobius plugin to turn it into a giant, flexible looping station, the 8 tracks of Lite was too limited. But the 16 tracks in Intro is more than enough, and saves me $350.
It depends , in my case I am starting producing with ableton. And intro offers more than the lite version... And you have a license that you can use it in another laptops/pcs.... But if you are more pro , obviously is better the other versions.

I'm really new to Ableton. I'm thinking of buying it for the purpose of live looping. I'm wondering if you can add downloaded vst instruments to the intro version?
I want to buy Ableton Live 11, but it's costly (don't worry about cost my parents are ok with that). After months of research and development, I came across that if I buy Standard version and upgrade it in future to Suite, when version 12 will come (I guess) then the cost will be very high, too much high! Some people say to buy Suite in first because later it will cause a lot due to updates and upgrades. Also, if I buy Push 2 I'll get Suite with that, just some extra money. So........what do you suggest? Buy Standard or Suite?
for anyone wanting to make beats and music in general trust me on this, buy the intro. In my prespective beats dont take more than 12 midi racks so if your a young artist who doesnt wants to spend over 200 for a music program go for intro. It has most of the basic effects that you will ever need from eq to reverbs and compressors so basicly intro is the better option for you. It costs around 70 bucks and is suitable for anyone who wants to record in their home or studio for platforms like soundcloud and spotify. The Lite isnt terrible either when it comes to just recording. 8 racks are more than enough for recording and adlibs and for simple beats with 3 instruments and drums, its deffinetly usable. You can deffinetly make a hit with these 2 versions.
hey! i am having trouble of changing the color for my launchpad pro. people are saying i have to click ‘Alt’ to change the color but it’s not working. and i’m on windows, please help!!
You change the color of Launchpad lights by changing the desired notes *velocity* in your piano roll in Ableton. This guide may help you learn some different ways to change a note's velocity, which in turn will change the color of your lights on the Launchpad: www.ableton.com/en/manual/editing-midi-notes-and-velocities/ In short, one shortcut is to hold down Alt (if you're using Windows), left click on a note, and drag your mouse up or down.
The manual and most videos covers effects assuming you have standard or suite. I have the intro version and there are effects included which do not feature in the manual online. Eg Grand Drum Buss …. This is not the same as drumbuss. I have searched for ages trying to locate such information . Even Ableton cannot help . If anyone has info or links . I would be grateful if you can help. Ps . Some of these effects have disappeared or have been transformed when I’ve updated over time . I’m surprised the ableton site does not cover this edition..
You are a Fucking genius... I've watched loads of these videos now and I am crying with laughter each time. Keep doing what you're doing I haven't laughed this much since I was in high school. Just totally hilarious keep them coming
ABLETON FOR LIFE 😆🤘 I didn't like the lite because I needed more tracks because of how I mix some tracks. Ableton standard is what I own and I have bias fx plus some free sick plugins I added to Ableton. I am glad I own standard and I don't feel like I need Suite. There is some free plugins that might help you save money if you like some of them. The free plugins I currently have are Labs (has some real af sounding instruments), MT Power Kit 2 (a real af sounding drum kit with dynamic change buttons for beats put on the plugin itself if you want to use them), and Tal Noise Maker (a synth plugin with lots of presets). Ableton has such an easy to setup sample pad thing thatI have not seen in any other daw plus you could make a track just as hifi as the other famous DAWs out there. From what I have seen, ableton is now more used than FL and the interface of ableton is one of the reasons I like it the most. Ableton has also given me less errors/problems than Pro Tools and Pro Tools was just the first decent daw which is why it has been used, but you don't realky need to learn Pro Tools unless you work wiyh some top name producers/mixers and its harder to learn compared to Ableton. I hope one day logic or ableton become more used since they are easier to use than Pro Tools. You could do some of the same stuff in Ableton as Pro Tools even and I think Ableton or Logic are good choices for daws, but I prefer Abletons look compared to all the other daws I have seen. FYI Ableton is not just for edm, dubstep, trap, or electronica producing.
Anyone plz : I have the intro and it does not come with EQ8 and I understand that. But does the intro version have any type of EQ that mixis vocals that works in replacement of the EQ8 ?? How would I mix my vocals ? Is there an option to use something that the intro has or do I absolutely have to download an EQ plugin?
Quick question: Intro for Ableton 11 says it has 16 scenes and 16 tracks. Does this mean that I can have 16 tracks per scene, essentially having 256 audio/midi filess running in a single project (16 scenes with 16 tracks)? I know my wording is confusing. Not quite sure how to explain it in a RUclips comment. Essentially: 16 vertical scenes that each have 16 horizontal tracks, each with different audio files that correspond to each scene?
Great Video. Nice one Ableton. At least they have different tiers. Unlike Reason Studios which is a joke. No entry level option. Intro would suit me as I believe less is more. Too many functions/ features equals more distractions for me which can be overwhelming for me. Simple & less options means I can concentrate better. Thanks for this video. I will checkout your other videos.

It will and I will. Because how do I move my SD3 tracks onto litr. This week I bought standard.somehow ez drummer got into thr browser with a couple of ez xpansionsbut I click and drag them on a midi track
if you have less money to spent, but enough over a longer timespan, get the upgrade route taking all the the sales ableton is doin over the year with you. this is even more the case when u got the lite version. downside is, you have to deal with your eprsonal patience. took me 2 years to go from, in my case, intro on a sale via standard on a sale to suite on a sale. each sales provided around 20% average less money.

Which gives you more than 8 tracks?
hey! i am having trouble of changing the color for my launchpad pro. people are saying i have to click ‘Alt’ to change the color but it’s not working. and i’m on windows, please help!!
You change the color of Launchpad lights by changing the desired notes *velocity* in your piano roll in Ableton. This guide may help you learn some different ways to change a note's velocity, which in turn will change the color of your lights on the Launchpad: www.ableton.com/en/manual/editing-midi-notes-and-velocities/
In short, one shortcut is to hold down Alt (if you're using Windows), left click on a note, and drag your mouse up or down.
Well, i used to make music on Ableton Lite but i bought Fl Studio
Anyone plz :
I have the intro and it does not come with EQ8 and I understand that.
Excellent video. Very positive vibe. Very informative. To the point. Thank you!
I just bought a focusrite bundle and I got ableton lite edition and I thought it was like standard… what a bummer
Wait why’s ur ableton suite in dark mode and how do u get that
Look around in settings and you should find it (haven’t used Ableton in a brick so can’t remember specific option)
I believe it is under settings or preferences.
PREFERENCE THEN LOOK AND FEEL
These guys all got you ^^^
To confirm, Settings/Preferences > Look & Feel > Theme
Ayeeee
if I just want to record my singing to the karaoke music I have, is Lite is good enough? Will I be able to use Antares Auto-tune Pro?
Is the Lite better than Audacity? Thank you
Does Ableton Live 10 suite come with max for life???
Yes
Caleb Blair thankz 😄
I think I am gonna buy abelton live 11 standard for now and then upgrade to suite if I enjoy it :)
It will and I will. Because how do I move my SD3 tracks onto litr. This week I bought standard.somehow ez drummer got into thr browser with a couple of ez xpansionsbut I click and drag them on a midi track
Thank you very much for your key......1000% work :)
if you have less money to spent, but enough over a longer timespan, get the upgrade route taking all the the sales ableton is doin over the year with you. this is even more the case when u got the lite version. downside is, you have to deal with your eprsonal patience. took me 2 years to go from, in my case, intro on a sale via standard on a sale to suite on a sale. each sales provided around 20% average less money.
Bro u are amazing ❤️❤️🔥🔥🔥
I have fl producer edition but got this bundled with a vochlea mic I just bought. Is it even worth learning how to use this new software? tbh I thought it was a free synthesizer plugin
okay the fact that you cant convert sounds to midi speaks soo much for itself.. this is definitely for beginners.
Perfect!
Intro is the most expensive or is it standard
suite
Is lite version support third party plugins??
Yes
thanks BRo
Yo can someone help me I accidentally deleted a midi clip and does anyone know how to undo it?

Hey, great videos!! Learning alot. My problem is that I can't figure out how to get external speakers setup while using my LaunchPad. I can only get the sound on the laptop itself. Any ideas?
Couldn't you just connect your laptop to the speaker so any sound sent to the laptop is sent to the speaker?
@@atwtmvtvftwsgavralps Yea, I ended up getting a scarlett 2i4 and problem solved.
So basically get ableton standard , thanks ✅
Can you do the same thing with Cubase?
