“Family Farming (which includes all family-based agricultural activities) is a means of organizing agricultural, forestry, fisheries, pastoral and aquaculture production which is managed and operated by a family and predominantly reliant on family labor, including both women’s and men’s. The family and the farm are linked, co-evolve and combine economic, environmental, social and cultural functions”
(Conceptual definition by the International Steering Committee for the 2014 IYFF. FAO, 2013).
Furthermore, family farmers carry out a highly important socioeconomic, environmental and cultural function and therefore affect sustainable development, people and the planet. 1:48 [Family Farming Campaign]

Family farming plays a key role in the new Sustainable Development agenda that is committed to sustainable and integral development that takes into account people and the planet.
Of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), a large part is linked to family farming and the rural environment. Very directly, there are several goals that underline the need to end poverty and hunger, ensure food security and improve nutrition by promoting sustainable agriculture. 3:36 [FAO; World Rural Forum]

Cooperatives enhance their role within the framework of the 2030 development agenda, with values such as democracy, equality, and access to different resources.
Agricultural cooperatives also play a very important role in the economic and social empowerment of women and young people, as well as people and groups in situations of greater vulnerability. Their role in the generation of sustainable rural employment is essential for the generation of resilient communities. 6:09 [World Rural Forum]

Why is there a need to add gender to the idea of farming .Dont be too eager adopt foreign ideas of feminism to everything, its NOT working in the west and WHITE women started it , but they are rational and support their men, they are NOT trying to be farmers.
