How to Install AKKON (eBay) Headlights on a G37s! (Are they worth it?)

- In today's video, I installed Akkon headlights from eBay on my Infiniti G37s. The installation is very straightforward and easy. I tried to show step by step on how to install them, for those of you that are interested in purchasing them for yourself. i have these definitely rate the brightness a 5/10, they’re mostly for style
...that was cool ...the head lamps look great! ...my g37x needs a head lamp. I didn't know how to remove the front end. Thx for posting.

This video will help me install, so the only bulbs that need to be swapped out are the high beams?

I'm glad the video was helpful! Yup, only high beams bulbs need to be swapped over. You can just used the OEM ones.

So when your low beams are on only the 2 outer square lights are on ?
And when you turn on your hi beams the round projector light comes on with the the others?
i installed theses and for my passenger turn signal hyper flashes but my driver side doesn’t and when my emergency signal lights are on they both flash normal just when i use the right turn signal it hyper flashes. Does any have any idea what it is. could it be my ballast or the bulb?

I like these sequential lights more than the alpharex ones but I heard the alpharex have better quality and last longer and have better lighting.

I ordered the these when they first hit the market, my lenses faded after 2yrs and then brightness became an issue, my honest opinion 6 outta 10, id say protect the lenses best you can and upgrade from hid to led, overall not a bad headlight tho
That's what I've heard too. How do I protect the lenses? Get some sort of ppf?
@@yayasgarage get the Lamin-x film its been holding up pretty good for me
HID to LED is actually a downgrage as HID gets brighter.
Do i need some type of converter?
Not really a fan on the GTR lights on the G's but that one looks good.

The bulb your holding 8:53 is that the high beam or low beam bulb

My drl strip won’t turn on on either headlight for some reason. Could anybody give me a reason? Or they just defective? It would be weird to me since everything else is working just fine. Including the turning lights
Possibly burnt out. Any non alpha rex gtr style wont last and only for looks. I went through at least 2 pairs from each brand with those problems til I finally went with alpha, alot of money but worth it. There oem performance
How is it holding up? And can you do the Led conversion on these headlights?
They're holding up well. It's only been 4 months since I've had them. According to online they start messing up after a year so let's see what happens
The only thing is the clearcoat on these is gabarge. Give it a couple of years before the plastic starts to discolor.
Was it 450 for the set? Or just for one? I wanna buy but not sure if I’m getting the set or just one headlight alone. Pls lmk thanks

Wassup bro, just got these recently and the gtr strip itself doesn’t turn on at all for some reason. I’m not sure what it is and it’s buggin me cause that’s the only reason I bought the headlights Lmaoo. Any ideas??

What intakes are you running? And have you had any problems with water getting in or anything in that nature
Z1 Motorsports Long tube intakes. I have not had any issues with water getting in when it rains

I got the Spyder version headlights, had in 2 years with no issues but now I see a dark spot on the white light bar, How do you change the bulb?
yo did you ever find out how ? i have same ones as you and one sequential light bar is not sequential and just solid white and the other one works fine being sequential when locking car and it’s same color as his in this video. really want to get them the same just tryna see how
@@adriang3842 I was told they were led lights and they tend to malfunction, the headlight would have to be replaced, I'm not going to do it, it doesn't affect my inspection, it took almost 5 hours to put those in.

They look the same but not shape is different but you can get for a sedan

Headlights basically last a yr until they leak... had 2 pairs.. 2 different brands and no quality like oem .. best of luck maybe I got bad luck ☹️

What do you mean they leak ? Like water gets In ?
You didn't need to remove the the bottom screws to the bumper cover. All you need to do is slide the cover down and you'll have plenty of room to get the lights out

one of the lights for turn signaling and hazards are working correctly but the other isn’t. the line isn’t going in that pattern. only the top light is blinking. not sure how to fix it😭

I like the original lights much much better, the original lights look classier, the newer ones look too aftermarket

@Thę Køenigşegg agreed. I bought alpharex for my coupe, and the light output and cut-off line is sharper than my oem headlights with osram cool blue boost bulbs.
