Back in the day, Boxes of Breeze laundry powder had towels and washcloths inside them. Some of those towels you found looked like those towels. Great find on towels and linens!
Oh yes! That long dress was called a Granny dress or maxi dress. We would wear them with granny boots, granny glasses, big straw hats, crocheted purses...those were the days!!😊❤✌✌✌ ( If anyone is around my age, 67, you remember these things too!) Late 1960s, early 1970s. Nicole, I think that dress would look so cute on one of your girls! What about Mattie? I can see her as a latter day flower child, lol! She'd look adorable. Hope you are all well, and thanks for sharing this awesome haul!!❤
I recently scored a handmade quilt at the bins. It was perfect except for some staining around one edge. I treated it with some BIZ liquid laundry soap and every bit of it came out. The quilt now graces and my bed. You really scored well on that visit.
Marie here. All those beautiful linens. It breaks my heart that families and friends don't treasure such items. So sad, but glad you were able to save them! Watching from CA
Small linen squares are cocktail napkins! So pretty! Love the towels too. I really enjoy the all in one videos btw!! My favorite piece is the pleated checked apron...so lovely!
Just a heads up; if you wash something with a stain & don’t treat it and then dry it, the stain will get set in from the drying process. You found some awesome treasures ♥️
As your towels have the same basic pattern in different colorways, you could stitch them together to make a summer weight (no batting or backing) quilt.
"I can kinda do what I want with them! 😆 🤣 😂 love it. I love old doileys, so much work goes into them. Awesome idea to make an apron from the vintage linens, technically it woild be a vintage apron. Thanks for taking us thrifting with you. Try soaking stained items overnight in oxyclean. It won't bleach anything out just takes out stains out then wash.
My gram used to have a huge Dickens village. She raised me when I was younger and every Christmas we would set it up and then throughout December when my brothers and cousins would come over we would play with them and move them around. Awesome finds! The red and white table square would also look great for Valentine’s Day.
Great finds!!! Before I wash doilies or vintage linens in the washing machine, I first put them in an old pillowcase and secure the open end with a strong rubber band or piece of cotton string. This protects them from getting overly mangled in the washing cycles. Love your videos!!!
Oh Nicole, I love the linens!! I agree with you, they should still make towels like they used to. I say that about a lot of things, actually, especially valentine cards!! Great haul! Thanks for sharing!
The green bowl, is Fenton, I bought my mom a piece just like that, with a handle. With my own money I saved baby-sitting. That was over 50 years ago. So it’s an oldie just like me😃
Loved all the linens! Small ones are hankies I think. Larger were napkins. The runner was used in bedroom. Of course the apron was super find. I could have just stayed in the one bin.
Oh my goodness Nicole, the little apron is adorable. The work that went into making that is incredible! Never feel guilty about turning vintage pieces into something else you would rather have. I do it with linens and jewellery all the time! Fabulous bins haul, as always. Take care! ✌💜 xx
What an amazing haul! I seem to be a cookie cutter magnet....I find them almost every time and can't resist them. I have that same little cookie man with the holsters! So glad you picked up the little nativity. I try to have one under each tree in my house...even the small ones. Awesome linens!!
Nicole, another great haul at the bins. I would die to find all the vi rage treasures you found on this trip. The kitten pillow case so sweet! Glad you picked up the blue and green glass piece. How they survived amazing! There are several Instagram girls that I follow that would go for that vintage dress. Glad you saved. I wish I had a Goodwill bins close by mine is hour and half away. Enjoy very much!!!
You picked alot of the items that I yelled at the screen for you to get!! Lol.😂 Love the green bowl, blue sugar bowl, the towel sets, the vintage linens, the apron....was definitely a score!!! You really made out at the bins!!! TFS.😊 👍 💖
I think the small pieces are ladies hankies ! I remember my Mom and Grandmothers having them. I just love all the vintage things you found! That vintage apron is very close to one I used to consider my favorite that belonged to my mother . As a teenager I always chose that one to wear as it was my favorite color! The vintage towels are so pretty !! Thankyou for sharing! ❤️🍂
Love your haul!! That long granny dress could be made into an apron. Sweet & Simple Home did a video where she made an apron out of old clothing. Those towels were my childhood as well. Great memories ❤️😊
What a score! I would have been at that first bin all day. I'm screaming at the screen get the croquet Mallet and balls. I love those cookie cutters I collect vintage cookie cutters and that said I remember from when I was young and you silly that's a gingerbread man LOL. I love that dress. That's called a maxi dress
Great finds! I’d love to find some blocks to craft with. All those linens! ♥️. The two alike crocheted ones look like what grandma had on the arms of chairs. My grandmothers towels had some spots too I think it was from standing with cabinet door open and spraying perfume. She always yelled at my aunt not to do that. Lol. So many memories.
I guess I missed them!! Multiple people have mentioned but I never saw them lol! Funny how we all see different things at the bins! Hope your day is off to a great start!
The towels look very much like the sets my mother used to buy from Fingerhut. They came in a large set like 26 pieces with coordinating plain and floral pieces of each size. The plain ones got used and the floral ones were mostly to display on top of the plain ones when guests came over. That's probably why your floral ones look so good. My mother was of the generation that saved her best linens for company, the best undies for doctor visits, best dress for church, and a new nightgown ready in case you had to go to the hospital for something, lol.
Love your haul the vestige linens are beautiful. The cobalt blues sugar bowl is so pretty, sugar bowls with a lid are for granulated sugars. If it looks like it never had a lid it was meant for sugar cubes great find.
Last Halloween, I saw an antique store window display of round doily's dyed black or purple and hung like spider webs with spiders either clinging to the "web" or dangling from black string. It was really cool!
You do what you wish with what you find! It will be "one of a kind" and uniquely your own. Your bins rock always but wow, this was a fabulous score!!! Thanks for sharing. I miss the bins. Even the measly little one 30 mins away.
Nice finds. Our Goodwill stores don't have nice thing's like that at all. Some people make curtains out of doilies. You can also wrap them around a wreath frame and add vintage jewelry.
Love the doilies you said you might sell as clearance. ❤️🥰 I also love the pillowcases, I look fort them at thrift stores. I use them on all my beds which are antiques.i just love all that embroidery stuff. 💕I have some crocheted pillowcases that my mom made but I hate to use them 😢 I wouldn’t want anything to happen to them. They are beautiful 🥰
Wow, all those vintage linens! ❤️ I can’t wait to see what you did get, I’m hoping you got that mini crock pot, I know I would have! Now to wait and see what you brought home! ✌🏼❤️
I hope u grabbed those pretty old napkins! Nice little Crockpot, too! Ooh, grab that Halloween quilt! I wish I was there!! Lucky you, having a bins near you!
I use my mini crock pot for simmering fall potpourri also. Love that sheet pattern too. Would be so pretty as an apron. Oh and that turquoise apron is beautiful. Has such cute detail on it. I have some small embroidered napkins like you got from my mom and they had a square tablecloth that matches and you use for card tables. Lots of them are similar to yours. And...the little baby quilt my mom made me one similar that was for my dolls. It’s kind of small for babies. This was so fun to see all these pieces.
Your little embroidered squares are what we called cocktail or Bridge napkins. We put a square matching "Bridge" cloth at each chair setting for our beverage and snack ( nuts and mints). I have several sets. You have some absolutely beautiful crocheted items. To remove stains I use Dawn dish liquid and a bit of hydrogen peroxide to soak overnight. Rinse thouroghly in cold water and dry flat in the sun. I could "see" a "spider web" in one of the centers of a large round doily😄🎃💖👵🦋. Those towels do bring back memories of the 60s and 70s!!!! HIPPIE DECORATING in my long floral Maxi dress and long poofie hair😄
I am on my third one of those little crockpots. I have had one in my kitchen since my first kitchen, at 18 years old. 32 years later, still use it all the time.
Oh Nicole! Sure glad you got that bird house picture...it's SO CUTE! If I had been at the bins, I would have grabbed it, too! I'm so happy 😊 you rescued so many vintage linens from the landfill as well! 🤩 So many beautiful floral patterns on those towels from the 70's and 80's - FUN, FUN. FUN❣🦋🥰😊🌹🌺💐 And those muted orange and aqua books 📚 😍 - how PERFECT are those colors with your decor! 🦊🦋🧡🐦🎃🍁 Oh, and that AQUA VINTAGE APRON! So precious and PERFECT for you! Maybe you didn't think of this, but those little wooden blocks make great legs - painted or not - to create risers out of wooden trays, plates, etc. You can easily vary the height of your project, depending upon if you only glue on one, or stack several for longer legs. WOW! 🧡😳 you've really gotten my creative juices flowing tonight, Nicole! 😂😊😘 FYI, the cobalt blue depression glass was manufactured by Hazel Atlas. The pattern is called "Chevron", and they sell for around $7.99 in today's market. You might want to reconsider selling it, however. It would look great in patriotic holiday displays - especially on a tiered tray - with red and white striped straws in it. You could set it out with straws to use for the 4th of July or Memorial Day picnic or BBQ you have with friends and family, too. Another cute use for those same holidays would be to put spoons in it and set it near your coffee bar...because a "spooner" is always essential at a coffee bar...even if it's just to grab a spoon from for a quick bowl of cereal or oatmeal. It would also look great at your coffee bar with tongs and sugar cubes in it during that time of year. The possibilities are endless❣😎💙🤍❤ That beautiful avocado 🥑 green dish may be something Robin Johnson or Jaime may want, because I noticed they both used the same color glass pieces in their Fall Holiday🍁 displays this year.
Those vintage linens sure brought back a lot of memories from my mom. So glad you found the vintage Halloween paper wall hangers(paper and moose loves to find them too) really liked the village pieces as well. Stay well and safe. From a fan from the coast of N C
You got some lovely things. I love vintage linens and pick them up when I see them. Sometimes the stains will come out if you air dry them. Loved the one with the paisley pattern on really unusual. The kitten pillowcase was lovely and the little quilt was cute it would make a nice wall hanging for a nursery.
Love the kitten pillowcase! So sweet. Towels are terrific, the pumpkin too and we had that scarecrow! What a groovy dress I’m glad you saved too! It is probably a Maxi Dress very popular early Seventies
Oh God thank you for Nicole and so many here that bring this much joy in the shopping , home making, having safe fun, family and friend in covid needs so many ideas and so much fun on treasure hunts..when you just have to be good..well you all have helped me do tiny things and latest is needing and finding nice couple of soap bars at good will. NICE FANCY... Next is glue gun and Glass cake plate and rolling pin and I bet I can even find a hot pot...those new things..some are not going to be into them. No rush. Mom got us miniature just Wal-mart brand slow cookers oh..in early 2000's and I have used it for servings for one..like a tougher piece of round steak pot roast..a pork chop and potatoes.,,and that is a great idea to make a hot dip for a 2 week clean and have not been out have dad over...this is how we do it. Oh I adore all your towels and embroidery. I have got to find the Serenity prayer I have to work on my grandmother started for dad and I...we can share it.... A tour rendezvous place we have been lucky enough to have 39 years...a lot of the first twenty years of towels are there...nice stuff to be out for a few but when whole gang gathers...my folks saved a lot and sheets and stuff..well we use more old than new...and slowly get new spreads and stuff over the years...I ended up sleeping under this blanket that was on my twin bed and it was so heave cotton pink floral..so thick cotton..so soft and yet so much comfy weight to it..wool itches. Well with all the kids home Congrats on Subs and thanks so much for you and yours and such a fun time. So glad you found that Apron....mom would have bid on that blue dish..xoxoxo.
Omg ! You hit the Halloween jackpot! I adore vintage die cuts. Yep, those croquet stakes and balls wwould of gone right in my cart. Excellent yard decor. So many memories of my childhood laying in the bins. Great video as always.
I loved THIS HAUL! The vintage linens and towels were special... The vintage oink rose towel set I am pretty sure came in Duz POWDER or soap powder. I also think the "dots" on the items were maybe rust, I have been married for over 40 years and have lived many moves and I had an antique velvet street length dress that was my great grandmothers 2nd wedding dress, it had a metal rhinestone buckle on the belt, and I had it packed with linens and it must have gathered moisture because the buckle made tiny rust spots on the linens it touched...
I say do whatever you want with the stuff you find. The linens would just end up in the landfill. Using them in whatever capacity you create is awesome.
mix...Liquid Palmolive dishwashing detergent, Arm & Hammer baking soda detergent, and a squirt of blue dawn. You won't believe what it does to brighten any clothes, sheets towels Etc. And it's safe. You can soak it in there as long as it needs to be just refresh at each day with a squirt of soap. Massage stained areas also. Give it a try. I've used this recipe for years and it works for me. This recipe also is used for stripping fabric if you know what that is
If white linen has small stains, you could try spot bleaching each stain and the second it disappears, wash out the bleach immediately so it doesn't damage the fabric. I have done this on off white too because I would rather have a white stain than a brown one!
I collected vintage embroidery items that I didn't want to end up in the landfill. The work is so amazing! However, the cloth itself was either too worn or stained so I cut off the embroidery (gasp) and mixed with vintage look fabric and made a patchwork quilt top (haven't finished it yet) which is awesome and a tribute to those women that embroidered all of the items.
Omgoodness the mother load of vintage linens. I love love love. Whatever you decide to keep, treat them stains with oxy clean. It’s a heaven sent. It has taken so many stains off of vintage linens for me. Soak in hot water in a utility sink or kitchen sink and throw them all in with a scoop of oxy clean. Soak for 2 or more hours. Some people let it soak for two days. Good luck.
OMG I LOVE the blue apron! I never find aprons at our thrift stores. One of my girls asked me to keep a look out for a vintage apron, hehehee shes my vintage daughter, she wears all vintage clothes as well. Huge haul, great stuff! TFS Big Hugs!
Back in the day, Boxes of Breeze laundry powder had towels and washcloths inside them. Some of those towels you found looked like those towels. Great find on towels and linens!
YouareRightThanksForRemindingMeIUsedToCollectThem😁
Jeez, I remember that from watching Dolly Parton do Breeze commercials on tv back in the day. Too funny. 😀
I saw a cute way to display doilies, by putting them layered in a big frame and making art out of them.
Oh yes! That long dress was called a Granny dress or maxi dress. We would wear them with granny boots, granny glasses, big straw hats, crocheted purses...those were the days!!😊❤✌✌✌ ( If anyone is around my age, 67, you remember these things too!) I remember those dresses! We have an Easter family photo with my sisters and I wearing matching granny dresses!
I recently scored a handmade quilt at the bins. It was perfect except for some staining around one edge. I treated it with some BIZ liquid laundry soap and every bit of it came out. The quilt now graces and my bed. You really scored well on that visit.
I had some of those same towels when I got married 45 years ago! Brought back memories of filling my hope chest.
Spending my morning catching up on videos. Love to watch yours back to back.
That short eyelet runner looks like a dresser scarf. People that have Shabby decor love them
I have that identical table scarf with the eyelet. Some of the doilies are stunning. One made me think of a spider web. Great haul!
Love the all in one videos.
Me too
Marie here. All those beautiful linens. It breaks my heart that families and friends don't treasure such items. So sad, but glad you were able to save them! Watching from CA
What you called a table runner, I'd call a dresser scarf.
I think the smaller squares are hankies, my aunt use to have one in her purse at all times, just a guess 😉
Hankies are thinner
I love these bin shopping videos. It gives me my fix when I can’t get there!
I went with sending them as is lol. But that’s good info! I sent your package today!! Sorry it took so long. I misplaced one of your presents lol
I love vintage linens , I use them in my home.
So do I Some my Mother made
I use some crocheted pieces that my mom made. She loved to crochet also some quilts that she made.❤️
As your towels have the same basic pattern in different colorways, you could stitch them together to make a summer weight (no batting or backing) quilt.

I love that! Thank you for sharing that memory with me!
You really did hit the jackpot. Vintage linens are my jam. I would have been so thrilled!
Omg what a find all those linens and bath towels. Same here reminds me of my childhood bathroom too. Lol. Thanks for sharing
Great finds!!! Before I wash doilies or vintage linens in the washing machine, I first put them in an old pillowcase and secure the open end with a strong rubber band or piece of cotton string. This protects them from getting overly mangled in the washing cycles. Love your videos!!!
Those towels were amazing
Oh Nicole, I love the linens!! I agree with you, they should still make towels like they used to. I say that about a lot of things, actually, especially valentine cards!! Great haul! Thanks for sharing!
The apron is just work of art!
What an awesome pile of goodies. You lucky Lady.
The green bowl, is Fenton, I bought my mom a piece just like that, with a handle. With my own money I saved baby-sitting. That was over 50 years ago. So it’s an oldie just like me😃
What amazing finds, love the vintage linens!!!!
Yessss the croquet balls.
The little blue glass looks perfect for sweetener packs.
I'm so glad you saved all those linens!
What a fun trip to the bins!
Loved all the linens! Small ones are hankies I think. Larger were napkins. The runner was used in bedroom. Of course the apron was super find. I could have just stayed in the one bin.

The little crock pots are great. They usually don’t have a temperature control. I usually put mine on top of stove. Great video!
What an amazing haul! I seem to be a cookie cutter magnet....I find them almost every time and can't resist them. I have that same little cookie man with the holsters! So glad you picked up the little nativity. I try to have one under each tree in my house...even the small ones. Awesome linens!!
That little crockpot will be perfect for hot dips! I love the orange and aqua books for your fall decor!!
Nicole, another great haul at the bins. I would die to find all the vi rage treasures you found on this trip. The kitten pillow case so sweet! Glad you picked up the blue and green glass piece. You did really well with all the vintage. Awesome. The dress was a granny dress, came to the ankle. I had one back in the day! 👍🏻💕🤗

I love the primitive grungy look and I just coffee stain my doilies..stains don't matter! Great finds❤️
Great finds! I’d love to find some blocks to craft with. All those linens! ♥️. The two alike crocheted ones look like what grandma had on the arms of chairs. I think you're right about the perfume! 😊
My goodness, what a fun day at the bins!! I also noticed the vintage croquet balls.
I guess I missed them!! Multiple people have mentioned but I never saw them lol! Funny how we all see different things at the bins! Hope your day is off to a great start!
@@NicoleNorthgarden We have an advantage we are watching the video, you might not have been drawn to them even if you'd seen them.

Wow, all those vintage linens! ❤️ I can’t wait to see what you did get, I’m hoping you got that mini crock pot, I know I would have! Now to wait and see what you brought home! ✌🏼❤️
I love how you explain how you will use your items!
Oh I’m glad. Some people say I’m too chatty lol!
I hope u grabbed those pretty old napkins! Nice little Crockpot, too! Ooh, grab that Halloween quilt! I wish I was there!! Lucky you, having a bins near you!

I use the hanky thingys for decor. Like placing under tea cups between saucer and tea cup. I like the way it looks.
Oh the vintage towels!!!! I just found a set on Saturday. I only use vintage linens. They last forever. Great haul! ❤️🇨🇦
All I could think about when you were showing the vintage linens and towels was Robin Johnson. She would be over the moon. Great haul.
I am on my third one of those little crockpots. I have had one in my kitchen since my first kitchen, at 18 years old. 32 years later, still use it all the time.
I use the stained ones on my desk, dresser, book case and also my antique dresser from my grandpa!
I collect the Dickens Village too! My favorite is Fessiwigs Warehouse where the people dance upstairs. Love it all!
Love your haul! My grandmother had a load of the towel sets like the ones you found. I still have some of the towels.
Those vintage linens sure brought back a lot of memories from my mom. So glad you found the vintage Halloween paper wall hangers(paper and moose loves to find them too) really liked the village pieces as well. Stay well and safe. From a fan from the coast of N C

You scored at the bins! Nice haul.
I love vintage aprons as well. They have to have a pocket!
I also use/wear them. Makes me feel special in the kitchen lol
The eyelet runner is a dresser scarf!
Jackpot!! Wonderful linens!
You found some great things!
Great idea to make pumpkins out of the doilies.
Amazing finds.
You hit the jackpot girl! Awesome finds!
You can always brew tea or coffee and soak the doilies it’s covers stain and makes them look more antique❤
Love the towels!
Any damaged doilies could be dyed, or used as a stencil on furniture using spray paint
Granny dress is mod baby!
I say do whatever you want with the stuff you find. The linens would just end up in the landfill. Using them in whatever capacity you create is awesome.
Thank you!!
mix...Liquid Palmolive dishwashing detergent, Arm & Hammer baking soda detergent, and a squirt of blue dawn. You won't believe what it does to brighten any clothes, sheets towels Etc. And it's safe. You can soak it in there as long as it needs to be just refresh at each day with a squirt of soap. Massage stained areas also. Give it a try. I've used this recipe for years and it works for me. This recipe also is used for stripping fabric if you know what that is
You can use Oxi-clean to remove stains on fabrics.
@@vanessajacobs8296 yes I know but I have found this recipe to even be better
@@janiefoglewohlerspantryand2102 Thanks I will try it out
Hi, there! Do you have a recommendation for a couple of stains on a Monique Lhuillier bridesmaid gown NWT?
@@Myfairgirlie I would almost be afraid to suggest anyting.
Eyelet dresser scarf at thatvsize! How do you make a pumpkin from a doiley? I need to see that! Great haul!
Great idea to make pumpkins out of the stained dollies..I have tons myself..and never thought about that. Wow u got some great stuff..great haul..
That’s so cute Marg! MolLy loves the vintage aprons too!
