About the question the 21 year-old girl asked at 47:00 minutes: Last spring I was in what I thought would be a long-term relationship, we met the summer before my Junior year in college, fell in love and before I knew it was spending most if not all of my weekends at his apartment in the city [where we both went to school] that he shared with his brother. The relationship was great in that we were both relatively responsible, got along easily and considered each other to be best friends. When he came up with the idea of me moving in so that I could help with rent and get a taste of independence I was super excited - although I knew we'd be sharing a bedroom, the thought of kind of living on my own at 21 in a busy and expensive city was really cool at the time. Now, we're not together anymore and looking back, I am happy I never moved out last spring. I was working two part time jobs at school and had the help of my mom but I just knew deep down that I'd get out there on my own when I'm financially and emotionally prepared. On the point of understanding your S.O's finances - I was on financial aid in college with a single mother who has tons of debt while he comes from an upper middle class family with two parents, not to take away from the fact that he pays his own rent every month. But yes, when you're young you can be a little jealous over someone's appearance of stability so decisions like this take a lot of thinking.
With the girl who was saying she isn't financially ready to move in with her boyfriend, I kinda got it from the perspective that she is currently in a situation she can afford, but moving in with her boyfriend would be more expensive and she can't afford the pay jump because she's paying for her tuition and housing, wheras he can afford the "living alone with his girlfriend" because he is only paying for housing... so I don't think it's that she doesn't want to move in with him, but he's maybe pressuring her to make this financial jump because it would be his ideal living situation, but she's been trying to hint that she can't swing it, but he's being persistent...
Yeah, I got the feeling she was living somewhere either much cheaper/free. I think she just has to be honest and firm and if she WANTS to move in with him be clear on what her budget for her half is, and she SHOULD be paying half, he is not in anyway obligated to pay more just because he CAN, but she has to make sure she is either firm in what her half can be OR be firm in letting him know that them living together is just not going to happen currently, and not POSSIBLE right now, so he needs to make plans accordingly. Because if she CANT pay her half, then it cant be a thing, she cant let her self get pressured into it, and she also cant then make it about a guilt trip thing to then make him agree to pay more than half, because both of those situations are toxic and someone is going to end up holding resentment over the other
That first call left me with such a bad taste in my mouth. The caller was being a jerk. It was 100% not okay for the girl to think the callers boyfriend liked her, and the caller totally should have had a frank conversation with her about that. But who cares if the girl thinks she’s hot shit? Let the real world inform her and if it’s too hard for the caller to sit back and let it happen, then she needs to stop being “friends” with her. But don’t be a half ass friend and say you love her but also let your boyfriend call her a troll?? That could not be more mean...
I'm with you on this. To me it sounds like jealousy. Not necessarily jealous of looks/talent, but confidence jealousy. I think it's very common, especially when we're teens and young adults, to feel like we have to bring our friends down to "our level"--our ego can't allow our peers to be happier/more popular/more confident than we are because we feel threatened by it and afraid of getting left behind. (I know I've been there, though not to the caller's extent). I think the caller needs to evaluate the friendship she has with this girl, and question the intensity of her irritation and where it's coming from.
rosebuddy 1000% agree. I’ve been there as well. Feeling jealous of friends who were confident at bars and it came off as irritation at them for being cocky. In hindsight, it was 100% my own insecurities.
The fact that his Mom is asking for money to go to a casino and gamble it away is a absolutely not okay. I totally understand having to occasionally help your parent with a bill, I don't think it's appropriate to continuing with it monthly. But absolutely do not ask your child for gambling money, hell no!
So RANDOM note, "FUN FACT": I was watching the new Dont Blame Them from patreon (would recommend to a friend) and Meghan made a comment about gluten-free alcohol and there not being many, but since I have become a bartender I have learned some things, so while MOST vodkas are NOT gluten-free, Titos and Ciroc ARE because Titos is made with corn and Ciroc is made with grapes NOT WHEAT like a lot of other vodkas. So if you like vodka and feel like you are now missing out because you realize you can't have glutten...there you go.
As A Friend I’m gonna say Excellent video today Meghan. I hope you have a fantastic day, night, & evening. Stay cool, stay awesome, stay swag, stay unstoppable, stay incredible, stay popular, stay great, keep having fun, keep being the best RUclipsr, & stay strong Meghan. Keep up the good work. Enjoy your Wednesday.👑☺️👍🙏🏆
for the girl with the financial aid issue -- You need to claim yourself as independent through FASFA, its a hassle, but very possible. I had to do it. You have to make sure you are able to prove you don't live with your parents though.

First call, point out her ego, how its a clinical delusion about possessiveness
Flight attendant, working any job that makes you travel a lot is a very specific lifestyle to be looking for partners with, kinda like polyamory
