I completely understand Ron, it's going to be a race to see how much I can get done with the years I have left. I have always said never to many projects, just never enough time or money. Lol
That’s the kind of place where you walk around going oh look at that or look over there that’s cool You could spend a couple of days there cool thanks for sharing
Cool stuff for sure, glad you called them dog dish and not hyped up copo caps. Those things came on all the base models including wagons and all they were good for back in the day was for holding loose nuts and bolts!!
Thats a cool place, I'm 53 years old and my earliest recollection of dads vehicles was that early 60's Chevy station wagon, id love to find one of those!
Thank you for the very interesting video! Those are the same kind of yards that I enjoy visiting too! But it's the wrong time of year now for doing that! Lol. I am afraid of ticks about as much as snakes! Thank you very much!
When ever I see these sorts of places ,it reminds me that we used to have a lot of them in Australia and new Zealand once too. But with the prices of scrap going up a few years back, most were cleaned out really quickly. Today most scrap yards here only have cars going back 10 years. I'm also a bit glad that the price of realestate here is so excessive ,otherwise I'd own a block of land covered in cars too.
Oh jeez, I jus saw a sweet 68 Oldsmobile Delta 88 Royale Custom 2 door wagon. God those babies are so damn rare. Man I want that car. That's been my dream car since I was a kid. They all came with a 427 an a 4 speed.
Nothing like exploring a place that has old stuff weather it’s cool hot rod stuff or not it’s a time that has come and gone pretty cool places like this still exists
That wagon is cool. Hopefully you can get back there when your friend has time and have a closer look. If it wasn’t for the guys hoarding cars and parts there wouldn’t be any neat old stuff left.
Great videos! I respect that you left stuff alone. The 57 custom was awesome. Looked like Buick wheels, so I'll just imagine a late 60s Buick front clip with a 455 under the louvered hood. Nice finds!
I know your chevy guy ,but i appreciate your ethusiasm for the other makes .I have always Loved FORDS ,galaxies ,comets fairlanes ,torinos and yes mustangs .IF im ever BLESSED BY MY LORD to build another car . It would be a 63 -64 Galaxie ,427 ,428 , 4spd ,fastback .love your post s keep it up .THANKYOU
Impala was like the one I seen near me that has a pair of 409 badges on it can't get the hood open far enough to look but I can see the engine in there.
@@HotRodHoarder there's a 55 Chevy wagon that the only thing left holding it up is the chrome . All sheet metal has rusted away . Some other station wagons in the heavily brush lot in the woods . I went in there once with a friend of mine to haul the later model stuff away when junk price was up over 550 a ton. So I went wandering lots of cool stuff that will probably never hit the road again. The guy past and left it to the kids and they are likely to keep it there til nothing left.
who don't love those little Chevy not to mention that old panel darn state and the county made everybody clean them up where I live used to be piles cars around here to sure miss those days
I am subscribed, I do the like button before even watching and so don't want you mad at me (I am 73) for forgetting if he sold whole cars or not. I would take a chance at that fifty seven if he would go good for any doors or other stuff that he has to make it complete body wise. I know most would come from welding patch panels, a floor pan, trunk pan, but what better way to keep the mind whole and free of ... well no one has to be perfect, I surely ain't. I always thought that they were too heavy looking but a LS engine swap would take away any misgivings.. granted that is not a easy walk in the park... I even see having to do a sub frame on it.
Thank you Morgan! I don't think he's willing to sell complete cars, but if I had my choice, it would definitely be that '57 wagon. Such a cool old car.
Maybe it's just me but the cars are way more interesting in a setting like this than sat polished up in rows at a show? A junk yard inspires, intrigues and interests in a way a car show never does?
Yep I allways enjoy going thrue the yards and see what there is and could try and find what I need for my 68ford LTD but ya no luck yet lol but great vid and godbless
Main reason they were junked is because they weren't worth what they are now... Still a shame to see. Love the channel man. Always liked the tri five 2-door wagons. Ever since I was a kid.
There are a lot of reasons things end up in a junkyard, doesn't mean they can't be saved. Dents can be fixed, motors swapped, rust repaired. It just takes the right guy
Spiders, snakes, bees, and no telling what else is living in there. We're always extra careful when exploring so that a fun experience doesn't quickly turn into a bad one.
Love seeing these collections, they are disappearing fast. I found another one exploring back roads that was nothing but tri-5 chevies. Don't ask where I will NOT say.
That looks like 2 Dr handyman wagon...it would of been a 150/ 210 trim car...it would of not been. A belair from the factory..but..yes a really cool car!
I don't believe he will sell complete cars. To my knowledge, the junkyard is not functional, but he does sell parts to friends and local customers on occasion.
You mentioned snakes, do you have a lot of them ? Us Northern folks drool over cars that aren’t rusted beyond repair. Elmer could sell most of those cars just by clearing the brush, power washing the exterior and listing them in let’s say a Northern Wisconsin Craigs list ... Just saying, hypothetically , of course .
Yeah Michael I agree.Clear some of the brush, sell the stuff that isn't "pure gold"just to clear yard space, then clear some more brush and jockey around the more desirable iron.Power wash those and part out/sell those as you want or need to.
It's definitely bittersweet to see a collection of old cars sitting in the woods. Fun to look at, but it hurts to see these classics in such sad shape.
The hinges get rusty, and that can sometimes cause damage to the body panels when trying to open or close. With a collection like this, there is also a chance of disturbing a bee's nest or coming in contact with a snake when reaching and grabbing for hood latches.
Unfortunately with people like that they don't wanna share the wealth meaning they won't sell anything at all which is ridiculous because it's all going to go rotten go back into the ground anyway he might as well make some money on it I don't blame of forward not wanting cheapskates! But not selling it all is questionable , I've bought from people I just thought that being fair with them giving him a good price and letting them give me what they want as far as a figure that we work it out the usually sell it but don't pressure them! Sometimes it just takes time for them to let it go Is called be respectful!
The more I watch this channel the more gems I keep finding.
I use to lay awake at night dreaming about places like this. However now I just want to finish the cars I have in my shop. Ron
I completely understand Ron, it's going to be a race to see how much I can get done with the years I have left. I have always said never to many projects, just never enough time or money. Lol
Nice thing about vintage wheels is they’ll fit in a blast cabinet. Short tail trim on that wagon make it a 210.
Doesn't need to be any big, grand video. Little stuff like this is still super cool. Thank you for sharing it!
Thanks for watching! It was a fun little adventure on a Saturday afternoon.

Outstanding hoard. God bless Elmer, doing his thing. I get it. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching Ed!
Beautiful cars and trucks!! That Ford is a 69 390! I got a short bed red white 2 tone 70! With the 360! Love them chevys!!!

We had a great time even though we didn't see the whole yard. Pretty cool stuff!
Love old junkyards
Yes sir, me too! I'm hoping to visit a few of them while the leaves and snakes are gone for the winter.
Thank you for the adventure and seeing some sweet cars ! Take care , stay safe and healthy there ! Still doing well here in Kansas !
Thank you for following along Steve!
Nice thanks for sharing your friend from Canada Rob 🇨🇦

I would say that you're probably right. The Buick wheels definitely hint at this thing having a big Buick engine under the hood.
Man visit the Ozarks every gravel road is full of ol junk cars and trucks. It’s everyday life around these part’s

Looks great

I'm sure the county and state has made attempts to shut him down but luckily, the collection survives!

Elmer's Pot 'o Gold. Very cool!!
Ol' Elmer is a character!
Another cool video, those Radir wheels would be bad ass on those chevies
Thanks Chris, I absolutely love finding old wheels. One of my favorite things about these junkyard crawls.
Junkyard - adult candy store 👍
Auto auction rebuilds (randy) sent me over to your channel love this kinda stuff..
Thank you for checking out the channel Devin! We have a bunch more content coming up...I post a new video every Friday.
In Elmer's defense, if I had my own junkyard, I don't think I would let any car or part leave it.
I just wish my wife thought like that. LOL
Haha, same here...I have a hard time letting go of certain things.
Maybe it's just me but the cars are way more interesting in a setting like this than sat polished up in rows at a show? A junk yard inspires, intrigues and interests in a way a car show never does?
Silly me,I was diggin' the '68 Chevy @2:13.
Yep I allways enjoy going thrue the yards and see what there is and could try and find what I need for my 68ford LTD but ya no luck yet lol but great vid and godbless
Tough to find parts for that one! Hope you're doing well Brian.

Yes sir, you're absolutely right! Many cars were scrapped that could've totally been fixed.
Acoompanyng you , Big hug from friend Marcos Polux Brasil 🇱🇷🤜🤛
love the vidio's
Awesome video, all I keep thinking about is how many spiders are probably living in those cars haha 🕷

Nice! I have several more small collections and roadside finds that I want to explore locally.
No matter what the reason for them being there oh, I still get extremely sad seeing them there
That looks like 2 Dr handyman wagon...it would of been a 150/ 210 trim car...it would of not been. A belair from the factory..but..yes a really cool car!
Like the Impala.
If you are out and about in an old school salvage yard, and find parts for a '67 Chevy Impala or Caprice Sport Sedan (4-door hardtop) let me know!
Will do!
thanks for another great show luv to see that kind of stuff did he have any two door 74 to 76 gran torinos like starsky and hutch
Thanks Cory. He may have had a Torino in there, but the overgrowth was so thick that I honestly couldn't tell what some of the cars were.
@@HotRodHoarder i thank you for the feed back my friend and i have 76 gran torinos and parts are hard to find where we live here in north georgia
@@coryfowler804 you can find those Torino's all over Georgia or atleast I have found quite a few, I'm looking for a 72 gran Torino car
Could that be a '64 Corvair convertible with custom louvers on the trunk lid @ 5:13? What a nice pic that would be.
would love to have the impala wagon
I love those old wagons!
hello motorheads
Heart breaking to watch
I was just wondering what is going to happen to it all
Is someone pulling it out and selling it of or is going to scrap
Or just wasting away there
“ it’s not hoarding if your stuff is freakin’ cool “
YES!
Good old Elmer. He used to come to our Monday night cruise at the sonic in Ooltewah when I still lived there. How is he doing?
He's doing great! We talked for a good bit before and after exploring the collection.
How can I buy one of these cars and where are you located at and town and city i like that old car
I'm interested in the truck...
is any of the cars for sale
57 chevy wagon is a 150 never had all the holes for belair and 210 trim. 150 only one with black and silver dashboard
Interesting! Thanks for the info.
Does he have any prices on any of these old beauties?
I want the impala.

WILL ELMER SELL CARS?
I don't believe he will sell complete cars. To my knowledge, the junkyard is not functional, but he does sell parts to friends and local customers on occasion.
@@HotRodHoarder THANKS MY FRIEND
How about parts 4 a 67- 69 kaiser m-715 jeep truck
I know two great spots you’d absolutely love!! I could take you sometime if you’re interested. How would I get ahold of you? I’m in Arkansas
If you run up on any projects for sale. 55-57 chevy 210 or belair / 63 or 64 impala please let me know thanks

seems like a waste to not sale any but to let em rust into ground ,,,some of those look worth saving breaks my hart to see good stuff rotting
It's definitely bittersweet to see a collection of old cars sitting in the woods. Fun to look at, but it hurts to see these classics in such sad shape.
Why didn’t he want you to open hoods or doors?
Cuz they don't always close back up proper (or easily). Next thing you know, varmint infestation.
