I recently purchased the RC 12" light bar for my 2022 Polaris Ranger 1000 EPS. Pretty flawless install. RC must have fixed the Allen set screw issue because mine went in flawlessly. The Only negatives I have is that the power wires merely had ring connectors on them. I cut them off and installed a Pulse Bar plug for power. Also, I did not get the DRL version, so the switch was a cheap, stick-on push button type. I've ordered a proper rocker switch in "L" series from OTR for a more OEM look.
Great Video... truly appreciate the attention to detail... Question... I have a 2024 General XP 4 1000... website says this will not fit but not sure why unless the light itself would be too tall to fit the factory front bumper... wondering if you know... I do plan to email the manufacturer. Thanks again..
Looks like you have an antenna for the radio. Is that something you added ? My 2023 has a flat one mounted under the front drivers fender and it’s terrible.
How did you connect the middle wire on the pulse bar connection? Help haha im in the process of hooking my light bar up and connecting it into a pulse harness and don’t know what to do with the key switch power wire
I'm going through the exact same thing now. Hooking up light bars and pods to the pulse bar with the pig tails I purchased off amazon, but not sure what to do with that acc wire.
Yeah, this part was a big miss. So much time pulling push pins, then skipped the entire switch and pulse bar wiring which would have been super helpful.
So sorry I missed this comment. I had to buy the bus bar pigtails and wire it in to the RC harness. I didn't buy the RC Pigtail. They are too expensive. There are ones just as good for less money on Amazon.
I have it wired to accessory power so it only works with the key on. There are 3 wires in the pig tail. Power all the time, key on power and ground.. You can wire it to power all the time but with this set up it would leave the lighted switch on all the time.
bummer that the switch from RC didn't fit the blank opening on the Polaris dash....after all the work and it doesn't sit secure...kinda crappy. Also crappy you have to buy "pig tales" as you say to use the buspar....why doesn't RC match it up with Polaris plug-in...are there other companies out there that do a better job with accessories matching up perfect with Polaris (i.e. Moose)??? thanks for the detailed install. many RUclips vid skip things....although you could of shown the pig tail install
Appreciate the feed back. I'm working on the video for the rear lights where I show how to wire the pig tail for the Busbar. That should be up this weekend.
Also, not sure if other vendors do a better job with supplying a plug and play harness. The RC set up is really just a standard/generic 12 inch light bar kit that comes with a generic wire harness. To make it a "Polaris" kit they send you the mounting tabs seperate of the light bar.
On your switch. When I installed blinker kit on my north star I used a dremel on the blank that came out and traced the new switch on the blank and then slid the new switch into the modified blank and it sits in secure. It was a slow PITA process but it worked.
I haven't been able to do a full night test but I can say the high mode is really bright. The low mode is probably useless unless you really want a DRL function.
Damn it me forever to find a video on exactly what you showed !! Thanks very much !!

I have one of those head lamp just like yours but mine does not burn very bright on the high setting

I have that same antenna(in the video) on my 2020 for the radio and it works surprisingly well.
Awesome Vid!

Did this plug right into the ranger busbar or did u have to buy the Polaris busbar harness from RC and change it out?

also, does the machine need to be on to use the light bar you installed???

@@ReviewAllTheThings Im pretty sure rigid and pro armor are plug and play. Rigid is very expensive tho...

How do you like the light? Is it bright enough?

It's the Polaris Glacier HD PRO with the hydraulic angle system and poly blade.
