Good evening Jared (France time), you know, not so long ago there was a typhoon called "Sy-Klone" and man, he definitely took away all my assurances regarding how to make Motuc and Masterverse coexist. So by the time you read these words, over fifty Motuc figures have been sold, and don't get me started on the very delicate situation of grabbing a few deluxe Masterverse figures to take the place of the Goners, it's - stressful - as - hell! Anyway, this He-Man variation is definitely my favorite, and the way Mattel has chosen to reinvent him this time around makes him even more appealing than the recent upgrade provided by Mondo (unbelievable!). You're right..that is a fantastic head sculpt and I hope they stick with it for future vintage He-Man updates. It's leagues beyond the classics head and any they've done in Masterverse. Kudos to the design team for the redesign on the accessories and it turns out looking just as good as the vintage style. I wish we could hear more from their design teams.
Yup. If the head was going to be re-used for He-Man, I'm not sure what people were expecting. Especially if they went ahead & bought it anyway. ...At the same time, if you were one of the people that was critical of the Faker head, then it is a consistent take.
Actually, the arm Harness is to PROTECT HE-MAN’s Arms! They are supposed to BOOST his punching Power to unimaginable levels! He was supposed to be able to throw a punch at his enemies without even touching them and they would feel the force from the shockwaves! Even leveling mountains! The back pack and chest harness are used so that he could control the amount of force he released.
This is exactly what I interpreted the gauntlets & armor (with backpack) to be for! He-Man has the power, it’s magic, but with this armor he adds technology to the magic, fusing the two to create the ultimate strength!
Not gonna lie, your figure in particular's probably the best looking I've seen for this new He-Man, and I'll readily admit that its not as bad as many are making it out to be. That being said, I'm still not a fan of it, and while the head looms good at a glance any longer & the illusion starts to crack: the hair's too high up & back, he's looking more plastic-y/oily than he should, and the eyes come to a bit of a point; now is this bad? Not necessarily, at least to each collector, but I personally just think that not only was Revolution Battle Armor much better in that department (still my favorite He-Man head in the line), but I wasn't a fan of this head even with Faker, I just wish the head shown in the package, the one so wonderful both this He-Man as the previously mention Revo BA He-Man were represented with in their package art, I just wish that vision of He-Mam could be brought to plastic form instead... Still, excellent video! While I was defenitly gonna get this guy eventually you've pushed me to wanting him ASAP, so worst case scenario I'll just give him the movie He-Man alt head, cause if it worked with the first 2 NE He-Men its gotta work with him too!
Imma be real and say I don't remember writting this, was real tired last night but guess I was also pretty chatty lol. Anyway I do still feel mostly the same about him but looking at it a bit closer I'm getting more used to it, specially when under more normal lighting, rhis guy inmediately went from despised to an 8/10 (& potentially 9/10 once I get it in hand) for me, and while the Revo He-Man remains my favorite I can much more see what you mean & agree with it. That being said I think you also described the discourse around this head perfectly, we've stared into the void too long & at this point everyone's mental image of He-Man's fighting for dominance, to me the package art is pretty much exactly what I want, but not only is the actual head on the figure good, but so are all the New Eternia heads, it just depends on what everyone's looking for.
I actually really like that headsculpt personally, but im not a fan of the red or the gold sword etc. why does the most powerful man in the universe require a massive backpack to hit harder anyway? 😁
hate the sword - both the new Origins and this one should have had translucent yellow swords and not the gold crap - the translucent plastic was what always set apart the OG Thunder Punch He-Man. MattyCollector version got it right in Classics, they just made it TOO light yellow

he looks better with the origins Harnish and Filmation or Revolution BA head ... I think I'll pass this one. nice review tho

The head sculpt is fantastic on this one. Personally though, I still prefer the Classics. Love 'em both.
