It's comforting to know that even exceptional players can get hosed by the rng. These videos are very educational with how to adapt and turn around a scuffed run. Thank you sir!
Just watched the 3 Aspects run for GDQ from 2 years ago that you were on the couch for, it's interesting that the 3 aspects being used hasn't really changed. I know they're the most consistent, but if you could guarantee good RNG, which aspects have genuinely the *fastest* time?
I don't think it actually changes... these aspects ramp up the fastest. Maybe Achilles would be better than Hestia if you get Flurry Jab chamber 1 and a bunch of attack stuff? Not sure though.
@@Haelianyeah like Achilles, flurry jab, tidal dash and then into hunting blades is in-game time wr now (or as I remember?) could be even faster, but needs too much luck I have to say
@@HaelianAs fate would have it, the Achilles modded RTA wr does start with flurry jab and ends in an 11:57. 185 also did a 12Achilles run (which is, as you may have guessed, 12 consecutive no reset Achilles RTA runs), inspired by BIGP's even sillier 24 Beo run (yes). The 12 Achilles runs averaged 13:28, from 12:08 in the fastest run to 14:27 in the slowest. The Beo runs averaged 13:30, though the second half was faster than the 12 Achilles. I think Zyru should do 12 (or 24; I'm not picky) Hestia for science but he hasn't agreed yet.
the phrase "time attack" comes from motorsports and/or cycling circa 1880s, according to some googling (oxford dictionary but I'm not paying their subscription, that's idiotic; and wiktionary). in that context it's opposed to simultaneous racing--think mario kart's time trials with just the player's kart on the track, vs. grand prix with the other racers. presumably early speedrunners got it from there, using "real time attack" to describe running against an external timer rather than in-game time (which is often affected differently by things like load times and lag, or may not be particularly precise such as metroid games timing only down to the minute).
I tried your zeus dash only run, and it was as fun as your's. It's crazy to think you can beat the game with just the dash button. Besides the ones we know will work like posidon and ares, can you try dash only runs for all the gods? Besides Artemis.
Because it is a lot slower to shoot all the weak enemies in Tartarus one-by-one when you can kill several at a time with a large AoE in one or two hits; only throwing in a shot occasionally when anything has more HP.

Oh yeah, GGs on Top 10, that's clean as hell :D

Yes sir!!! That's our Haelian!
congrats on the PB!!
What does the A in RTA stand for? I've been wondering for so long 😭😭
Real Time Attack
Now as for *why* ... No clue, sorry 😅😅
Back when I was a kid, games had time trials and sometimes they were called Time Attack. Maybe has something to do with it?
^ would agree, time attack was a common mode name, like a battle for a faster time - makes sense w speedrunning
as others said, but now people mostly use real time attempt for it to make more sense

23:16 Now to be fair, that also pissed me off
why hestia & splash dash for the rail weapon? did i miss a meta change?

I love your tryhard videos
