Everyone's been saying the Houthis are gonna find out for a year now, But the Houthi's been at it for years> The US fought the Houthis years ago, then let the Saudi's fight the Houthi's. Saudi Arabia has led a major military intervention in Yemen, organized a coalition of other nations to support its efforts, including Egypt, Jordan, Sudan, and Bahrain they Lost. Houthis still around kicking ass. The U.S. Navy prepared for decades to potentially fight the Soviet Union, then later Russia and China, on the world’s waterways. But instead of a global power, the Navy finds itself locked in combat with a shadowy, Iran-backed rebel group based in Yemen.
It's heartbreaking to see Yemen in such turmoil, especially considering its rich history, culture, and natural beauty. Yemen’s potential was undeniable, its strategic location and unique landscapes could have paved the way for it to thrive, possibly even as part of the GCC if circumstances were different. The suffering of its civilians is unimaginable. When people hear that the world seemingly doesn't care, it must feel like an unbearable burden. Let’s hope for an end to this conflict soon, one that prioritizes peace and minimizes further loss of life. Yemen deserves a future where its people can live with dignity, security, and hope.
People don't care about civil wars in general because you cannot really take sides. It is not like any of the east African civil wars are in the news. The thing is, this "fellows" doesn't even have toilet paper there, how can you hurt some one that owns nothing. The iran is the one that give them rockets.
We have been fighting the Houthis in Saudi Arabia since the 1990's and btw the UN, USA, and the UK Intervened multiple times to draw "red lines" for the Yemeni government the Saudi-led Coalition not to cross for "humanitarian" reasons! which prolonged the Yemeni civil war and led to the Houthis pretty much take over the Yemeni government, fortify its position and impose the status quo as legit reason for them to stay in power. But I'm happy that finally in 2024 that dogmatic idiotic barbaric group finally showed its true colors to the international community.
We've been flooding Ukraine with arms for almost 3 years (longer, actually) Short of putting American troops on the ground there's not much more we can do. Stop putting restrictions on the weapons we give, tossing the whole "appease Russia at costs" nonsense of the Biden admin in trash, that would help. As a person who lived in the hinterland of Yemen for two years, attacking the Houthis is a fool’s errand. The country has very little infrastructure remaining after the Saudi War and the more they are attacked, the more support they get because the people see them as defenders of Palestine. The Houthis left to themselves are not popular within the country but responding to their provocations, changes that.

How is there no serious coverage focusing on why was a top UN official in Houthi controlled areas to negotiate with them while they are attacking a UN member state and threatening intl shipping routes? Is this even legitimate? Who authorized him to do this? And why has he not been fired yet?
When world-wide shipping is involved, people care too. Virtually all of the victims so far have little to no connection to Israel; they were just the available targets when the Houthis launched drones and missiles. Are we supposed to let terrorists and pirates attack anyone they want as long as they say "because Israel"?
I am still confused on how and why iranian weapons are allowed to get to the Houthis. How hard is it to block the few ports they have from receiving boats from Iran?
Yemen isn't an easy target , the Egyptian army invaded in the 60's with 50,000 men and got stuck there for 10 years , the gulf coalition kept bombing Yemen for 10 years with all US support to no avail. the country is filled with mountains and caves . it will need a US coalition on the ground which would cost billions and would at best mitigate the issue . the Houthis follow jihad's doctrine of supporting your muslim brothers no matter the odds , so this is all tied to Gaza , end the Gaza war and the other conflicts end .
Lol. The Houthis are pretty clear about their actual motives. Gaza, like anything that has to do with Palestine for the last 80+ years, is an elaborate PR scheme used by tyrants and dictators to attact potential new recruits, get funding, and deflect attention from domestic problems. So yah. Take your propaganda to Al-Jazeera buddy

Your top 4 reasons why the Houthis are likely to get hit when Trump gets into office are spot on. Great video. 👍
Next time I see someone in America screening “de&@$ to America “ they should get a one way ticket to Yemen.
Yeah and all Americans with Zionist passports should be sent to Israel.
DON'T POKE THE BEAR.
@@edawga-i3t yes thats... literally why all of this happened what does this have to do with anything OP said
the Houthi would fold quickly if all foreign aid is cut off, that is the only reason they remained viable.

A million or two people died in those in the last few years and nobody cares. Neighbors killing each other for funzies. How could you even start to decide who to support?
That's what Islam gets you.
Go Go, US Navy
Navies are going to become less effective as Ukraine literally defeated the Black Sea Fleet despite having no Navy. Drones are going to allow for Technological Inferior Forces to power project effectively in the Sea now whether you like it or not...
Oh and dont worry I aint an edgy retard like you. I am well aware that this fact does not mean that a Navy is Useless. Navies will still power project over wide Oceans. GO GO US NAVY in that case. But over small bodies of water? Nah thats fucking dying man...

I disagree that no one will care Preston, as soon as trump does anything with yemen, the left will start to care! Thank you for great content keep it up. AATW
The left popularity is already Done, Gone, totaled my guy nobody cares about them right now! Everyone looking forward to trump and trump needs to forfill his promises cause thats what all the american people voted for blacks, mexicans, whites, asians, etc all of us voted for him! We’re tired of bs!
The left will also have a alot harder time to gain the trust again and I don’t think they’ll ever be the same if trump forfills his goals ofc the democratic party can still disturb and disrupt trumps plans like what liberals like to do! when they don’t like about something about freedom.
Amm I think you read the map wrong
The left will not care if they criticise it's just because they'll use anything to criticise Trump
The idiot students will care just like they do know claiming that Yemen are the only good team helping the palis and USA are the colonialist terrorists.
Who else will care the isolationist right and anti Israel right
Of which they're are so many nowadays
They will claim the Jews that control the u.s are dragging the USA into wars and taking their money
I'm on the left and nope. We won't care. These guys are first class bad guys.
Yea and MAGA will continue to claim no new wars... The hypocrisy is astounding isn't it?

The problem is that Yemen has already been bombed with US bombs for years on end without taking out the Houthis from power (via UAE and SA)
Well Arab states are not exactly known for being militarily competent.
Why would the UAE fund the Houthi’s? Especially when Iran is also funding them

Have you heard about that whole "shores of Tripoli" thing. Also, please keep in mind that a lot of the time the US isn't really trying to win. I don't understand why that is, but some of our leaders have some weird idea that war shouldn't be fought all out.

Anything but stand up to russia.
We've been flooding Ukraine with arms for almost 3 years (longer, actually)
Short of putting American troops on the ground there's not much more we can do. Stop putting restrictions on the weapons we give, tossing the whole "appease Russia at costs" nonsense of the Biden admin in trash, that would help.
Maybe a no-fly, but that would almost certainly be a part of a negotiated settlement.

Sounds like we are in trouble with this Houthi flag. 😂
They are practically the most popular faction in the Middle East now
@ They have popularity outside of Yemen because of their actionable support of Palestine. They have very little to offer Yemenis in terms of improving their lives.
If I wasn't already subscribed I would definitely again after watching this. Great job as usual!

How is there no serious coverage focusing on why was a top UN official in Houthi controlled areas to negotiate with them while they are attacking a UN member state and threatening intl shipping routes? Is this even legitimate? Who authorized him to do this? And why has he not been fired yet?
When Israel is involve people pretends to care.......

Supposedly Isreal shut down all the ports, well see of it makes a difference
Yemen isn't an easy target , the Egyptian army invaded in the 60's with 50,000 men and got stuck there for 10 years , the gulf coalition kept bombing Yemen for 10 years with all US support to no avail. the country is filled with mountains and caves . it will need a US coalition on the ground which would cost billions and would at best mitigate the issue .
the Houthis follow jihad's doctrine of supporting your muslim brothers no matter the odds , so this is all tied to Gaza , end the Gaza war and the other conflicts end .
Hahaha they consistently attack Saudi arabia but they care for their paedo brothers lol
That Iranian General strike was a favor to Bolton who has a total hard on for Iran.
Or, counter idea, Iran was sponsoring attacks in Iraq and other places on US forces, and that Solemani and his buddy Muhandis who were organizing it were dumb enough to think we wouldn't care.
