TIX (short for tickets) was a completely free currency which could be attained in several ways on roblox. It was a good way for people who didn't want to pay actual money to get good looking accessories and not be stuck with the free stuff, however roblox decided to get rid of tickets in 2016 and have the only in-game currency be robux which caused several fans to get really angry demanding tickets to be added back into the game, roblox did not listen.
Don't forget that people farmed tickets on multiple accounts and visiting their own places as 1 place visit = 1 ticket. You also got 10 tickets per day, which is why people farmed tickets on multiple accounts. There was also a glitch where you could convert tickets to robux and robux to tickets and get a bit more than the first conversion. TL;DR: Alt-farming and a conversion glitch brought down the Roblox economy and caused the removal of tickets.
