Hyunjin actually did write a lot of it, he said he did in the howl in harmony video. Like they even showed the parts where Hyunjin wrote the chorus. Like chan already had the basic part of the beat and guitar but Hyunjin wrote the melody for the chorus and the lyrics whcih was so cool to see jusf off the top of his head. He also was the one that came up with the concept. So even though you’d think it would be chan it was actually HJ the crazy ass.

It took me a while to discover the music video on RUclips, but when I did, I was thoroughly impressed. This experience sparked my interest in Stray Kids, leading me to explore their other works. Hyunjin's performance in 'Play with Fire' sealed the deal for me, and now I proudly consider myself a devoted Stay, drawn in by their humor and charm.
In this video Hyunjin and BangChan is basically the same person, the person is suffering from OCD. They got obsessed with what they do and on the other side they wanted to get away with that feeling but they can't. They portray it so artistically. They explained each unit songs on Howl in Harmony if you wanted to see it. And Chan said in his vlive that Hyunjin wrote all the lyrics haha! Actually Hyunjin also said he made the lyrics.. but I bet that they both made it, chan was just taking advatage of Hyunjin. Haha!
Okay but the real question, whose Chris gonna do a song with next? We've already got a song with Lee Know, now with Hyunjin. This is my fave song in the album. It's about internal conflict and being paranoid that everything should be organized and in place and nothing should go wrong. I mean, we all had that anxiety and tension. Hyunjin said they got inspiration from Venom movie, there are 2 persons/ characters in 1 body , and Chan is the symbol of Venom I think that’s why he gets chained and trying to take over hyunjin body. This is why in the dance scenes you can see that they're doing the exact same dance but reflecting each other making it feel like a mirror scene and obviously in a mirror, we see ourselves so that adds to the fact that they're one. This also explains why in most of the scenes, they're either mirrored to each other or doing the same thing. The song basically talks about trying to fight the ego, compulsion, obsession etc. within yourself and stuff, OCD in a way. And the theme for this was compulsion within themselves, like an obsession almost and wanting to portray that through mirroring/alter egos. It’s really menacing and dark. The fact though that Hyunjin basically said that he likes being choked kinda scares me.
