Professional Design. Elegant Style. Sound Investment
There are times when your sound system needs additional low-frequency output and “punch.” For those situations, Alto Professional proudly offers the TX212S powered subwoofer. The TX212S subwoofer extends the bass response of virtually any full-range speaker, relieving that speaker of the difficult task of having to reproduce the low bass frequencies. This creates a system with a stunning wide-range response characterized by dramatic, impactful low frequencies and effortless, undistorted mids and highs. The listening audience will hear everything with perfect clarity, from the lowest bass synth tones to the highest percussion bells and everything in between.

The TX212S subwoofer features a band-pass design and a rugged, long-excursion woofer mounted in a solidly-braced ported enclosure, computer-optimized for powerful low-frequency performance. The enclosure is made from Medium Density Fiberboard (MDF). This strong, resonant-free material has virtually perfect acoustic characteristics, which ensures that the TX212S subwoofer’s output is always clear and impactful. Cheaper enclosure with flex-prone walls actually rob the speaker of acoustic impact by dissipating the driver’s energy as cabinet vibration. A sturdy braced MDF enclosure doesn’t waste the driver’s motion as cabinet resonance.
Versatile
Strong, clear output is only half the battle. In order for a subwoofer to be part of an ideal speaker system, it must blend seamlessly with the companion speaker. This is where the Alto Professional TX212S subwoofer truly excels like none other
in its size category. The TX212S subwoofer features a choice of six selectable DSP output modes so the subwoofer’s frequency response and crossover frequency are perfectly-matched to the speaker that it is being used with. Four of these six output options match the subwoofer perfectly with Alto Professional’s TX2 full-range speakers, while the other two output options give you Hi-Pass or Bypass mode.
• High Pass: Employs a 100Hz crossover frequency with no delay or level adjustments. This setting works quite well with
a wide variety of non-Alto Professional speakers.
• Bypass: Bypasses the DSP functions (there will be no crossover, delay or level adjustments). This setting is ideal for
daisy-chaining subwoofers. Once you have selected a setting, the corresponding LED will be lit.
Please Note:
For the TX208, TX210, TX212 and TX215 options, the system is level-matched when the Volume control for your TX212S and
TX2 full-range speaker are set to 0dB (12 o’clock). This simplifies your setup and elevates the overall system performance.
If you do not have Alto Professional TX2 full-range speakers, you can still use the first four DSP settings for your existing
speakers. Cycle through the six options to find the best sound and then make any level adjustments that are needed.

Do you know when this will be available?
Alto asked us to hold of talking and selling this subwoofer til 10am 29 oct 2019. So we have Day one in Canada and in the US it should be at Guitar Center. Now or very soon (this week)
I just got this sub and this little thing bumps. The bass in this sub does travel and gives you that good low end sound. Great price range
I got one and it sounds amazing!
I just picked up 2 subs and 2 208’s at guitar center for a New Years Day house party🤙🏼. Update: These are great 12" subs matched with the 208's. You can rock any small to medium size party with this setup. Ive tested the subs and tops to see how loud it could get before clipping. It was loud enough at 25' w/no clipping. I like to keep this mini set up in my Kia Soul along with my other gear just in case i want to liven up or create an instant party. Never know, you might just remind someone they have an event coming up and they need a DJ as I did at my New Years Day Party.
I cant thank you enough for these thorough reviews. I bought the tx208 last year on a whim. Finally decided to get some low end and your in depth knowledge and reviews led me to purchasing the tx212s. I absolutely could not be happier with it. This sub slaps hard. Thanks again for doing these top notch reviews.
I have this sub. It's good if it's not a big room. I love this sub. Ots not a 15. So what? Still quite usable
@@stephentesta9106 2yrs later and it still meets all my expectations. I accidentally left it powered on for a solid 2 months or so with out use. It never missed a massive low end beat once I got back into it.
I’ve had the 12 inch alto sub for a year and I love it. I’m thinking about buying another one.
Thank you for your knowledge
thank you for the video.
Omg! Its here im going to get one
Excellent Video...Could you please tell me if this would work with my Yamaha 600i PA System..The mixer has a single 1/4 inch Sub output. Would you then select Bypass or would that not make any difference, since you would not be using any outputs and only the one 1/4 inch input. Thanks
Thank you
I have a pair of the tx308s, would using one of these and one rockville rbg12 be ok for now like for small friends parties DJing?
I have a Yamaha mixer and 2 active speakers ( 2000 watts). How can i hook them up? Mixer to subwoofer to speakers? Or mixer to speakers to subwoofer? Thank you
I purchased this for a home theater system.. because i wanted more power and bass for cheap.. yet with the flexibility to switch it out if i wanted to dj a backyard party.. this was overkill for both! Now for the looks in the home, i had about 15x35 in space, so i hind it between the twin sofas
Could I use this with a pair of tx212 speakers to just run vocals and a small amount of kick drum and bass guitar at up to 200 people events?
@expert Island
Hi

Buenas tardes tendrás tienda o venta de bajos marca alto profesional en san Antonio texas
This sub or the Behringer EUROLIVE B1200D for a small group (75-100 people max)? I need a sub for our church youth group. We may also use the sub for an occasional movie night. We have a tight budget.
I have Alto ts115a speakers and I purchased the sub. Will they work together or do I need to purchase another sub? If so, what would you recommend?
Can the Alto Trouper be used as a top speaker on top of this sub?
Would this pair nicely with the alto trouper?
Hello friends how are you, can you guide me, if the setup that I want to put together is valid, 10"Tx210 speakers and the 12" tx212sub for closed places? It would be good

How do i get a Powered Sub to Uganda? i couldn't find any in the local market
What is the best Ts series or TX??
What’s the low end like
i'm thinking of getting two of those tx212s but running ts308 tops, would that be a good combo or not? could you make a video of that combination and to see how they would perform when mixing up the tx and ts tops.
Thats what I want to do too
Because it runs at 600 watts....you only need 1 sub with 2 ts308s.
Hey! How does the TX212s compare to the TS312s ? I bought the TX212s and just realize I could have twice the power with the TS series also in the 12" sizing.
I will be using them for small DJ gigs (30-50 peoples)... The specs of the max spl is 126db vs 129db, is the loudness really that noticeable ? Thank you!
You Can Really Feel and hear the difference with the TS312sub
i'm a well learned jazz listener, can a PA speaker give me the "live" feel of a record played on this? capturing the "room" ambiance?
better check class AB amps signal clarity
Hi I am looking at trying this sub out. Do you think this will fit in my car, I drive a 2 door Honda civic?
Lmao
That was very informative sir, Alto TX212S that has highpass 100hz, do you think Turbosound Inspire iP300 with 90hz crossover can pair well them? I'm worried about the crossover interference/lag between 90hz iP300 n 100hz sub, any recomendations will help.
if you're outside the US then go with the TX212s, but if you are in the US go to Guitar Center for the Harbinger VS12 Great Priced Subwoofer for the Inspire iP300.
@@expertisland thank you sir! that helps
Hi, what is your thoughts of running 2 of the Alto TX212S subs under a pair of Bose L1 compact? I'm happy with the throw of the L1 compact but the low end is weak. It appears I can buy 2x tx212s for the same price as only 1 bose sub1.
Adding subwoofers is a good idea. If you're in the US, Harbinger has a great 12 sub for about the same price now.
I haven't been able to find any type of gig bag or cover for this subwoofer. Do you have any info?
Have a look on ebay there is a seller who makes custom covers if you find them ask them if the have one or can make one
I use a 12" powered sub at weddings with great results. The Yorkville Parasource PS12p with great results.
Also, keep in mind that weddings are NOT club environments. You're not trying to blast the whole room. You want enough power to blast the dance floor area and you leave the dance floor area, the volume needs to pull back to where conversations can happen with a certain amount of eaae. Your typical 12" can pull this off unless it's like a super large floor that holds 150-200 or more.
And don't forget that older people generally can't handle the bottom ends as they may of dealt with them when they were younger. I've had many 65-80 year olds tell me that if the music, especially the bottom ends is on the loud side, it renders them essentially deaf and at a social situation like weddings, you'll want to ensure that you don't have a negative impact on the flow of conversation. So as much as it's tempting to just "rock" the joint like you would a nightclub, keep in mind that you're going to have guests from 3-93 present.
For me, the biggest challenge of doing sound at wedding receptions isn't volume during the dance but having a good consistent coverage during the formal parts like Cocktails/Dinner and Speeches. That's when you will need your coverage. The last thing you want to hear is the emcee on the mic asking if anyone can hear him/her and instead of getting YES, you have a handful of people asking the person next to them if the emcee spoke in the first place. And Yes, we've all heard the comics in the room shout back NO a hundred times over the years.
On point, and well said. I have downsized my rig from 18 to 15 to 12 inch subs.
This entire reply was spot on - well said man!
Agree completely. Also, most wedding receptions are in pretty live rooms, unless they're outside.
why is alto dont have their own sticker logo on their Speakers inside (at the back of magnet) ?
unlike JBL, Alto is not in the Driver Business so there Drivers are not branded. like the iPhone, apple makes the phone but not the parts.
I'm curious, would these alto subwoofers be usable in a home theatre surround sound system???
I reply to Your question in my latest Q&A here is the link 👍 ruclips.net/video/8Dg8A7jf7nY/видео.html
ofcource silly why not? lol u'd just need to get adaptops to hook up the RCA from the sub out of the reciever to it.
should i get 2 tx215 or a tx12 with the sub
Yes.
I am a mobile DJ, using just two TX210 speakers. My gigs are weddings and birthdays in small community buildings, or outdoor small town festivals. My 2 speakers get the job done, but I interested in a subwoofer to deliver that extra punch on the dance floor, and to keep my Top speakers from flashing Red. I'm looking at this 12in sub. I'm looking for crystal clean sound and some bass to bring out those 90s hip hop songs to boost up dance floor a bit more. Will just one of this particular Subwoofer do the trick? I like to stay compactable, so all my gear can fit inside the back seat of my Chevy Colorado truck. That way all my gear is stays safe, secure, and not riding in truckbed when I travel from gig to gig. Any advice will be appreciated!
One TX212 Sub will sound great with the TX210's but 2 will be even better. I use the 2-TX208's or 2-TS308's for tops with a pair of TX212 Subs and its all the sound I need for the majority of gigs I do with up to 75 - 100 guest. The subs fill the space the tops cant. I have extra speakers for side fill if needed. And it all fits in my Kia Soul along with my flight case, flight stand or ADJ Event Table 2 plus lighting. I've owned the Alto TS212's tops since they came out about 5 years and they still work great. Good luck on your choice.
We're can I buy a pair they no longer have them @ guitar center
Just checked and it is now in stock I add a link for you. guitar-center.pxf.io/TX212S
Could you please review the latest Alto 4 series? your work is much appreciated
I'm Working on. thanks for the request
Could I use these with me Alto TS315?
Let Me know how these sound with Your TS 315s...that's what I have...
So basically if have 4 sets of these,,, its a blast.
Title of song please
So you're saying 2 of these subs and some good tops aren't enough to do a 150 ppl wedding with say 50 ppl on the dance floor? Technically the sound doesn't need to fill the room for the dance part, it just needs to sound amazing on the dance floor, these won't do that?
Only two 15s will be enough
@@KAYBE_CO Or buy 4 of these for the price of 2 15s
@@Chris-yy7qc Just don't buy these subs. Buy a better brand. Db technologies. Jbl. EV. RCF. That's my suggestion
Good Question and comment, I will talk about this in my next Q&A video. It is not about Brand or the overall size of the hall, it is all about the dynamic dB level - Yes the combo of the TX212 + TX212S Sound great it will fall short at around 70 dB at the back with 50 people on a dance floor 24x24 feet about 80 dB in the front and 70 dB in the back. So 2 TS312 95dB (80dB in the Back) on top and if you like to surprise your guests with an extra bass drop when you play Old Town Road then add a TS318S. that always make everyone Happy.
@@expertisland The 318s is a good sub
Trust me ! I made the same mistake, so I will save you a lot of disappointment and hard earned money, these are budget subs, too small and not enough power, 15" is the smallest you should be looking at, these together with 2 x 12" tops could maybe just handle 50 people in a small venue, beter to save up and get better subs, probably a good starting point would be 2 x the dB technologies sub 615d, there nice built, not too expensive and give enough sound out together with 2 of their tops for around 150 people, anything bellow this I would not touch, moving up from that to RCF, Ev is a good step up again, if you haven't got the money be patient and save up, DON'T waste your money at this level.
The db has some impressive specs. Where did u buy it in the us?
@@jibraelbasdeo3521 The db 615 are a nice box to start with at the budget end, personally I use RCF 905 mk2, an amazing powerful 15” sub, but they are more than twice as expensive as the db 615, they are light enough that I can lift them myself and not too big for transport, when buying subs you very much get what you pay for and buying cheap usually ends in disappointment, by the way I’m based in Europe.
people.....run your subs on an aux!!!
Subra mahal nman nyan wla nman kwenta
Guys ,please know that this is a HOME THEATER SUB....this is not for a DJ/PA environment........Please don't look to BLAST ANYTHING especially at this price point.......Party at Home?? YES
Wedding for 100 people?? NO!!!
The problem with those ALTO speakers is that they always have something loose... vibrating. It is so annoying!!
Alto?!....nope 😏
Hi, can I run the TX212 with the TX312s or TX308s
Can this be paired with ths tx308?
I’d like to know as well, I have the tx310.
