This movie became my favorite by accident. I had just came home, late night out, and decided to watch something on the tv anything to be honest. I saw this movie and said, “what the heck.” I figured since it’s 2 hours long I’d fall asleep 30 or so minutes in……BOY WAS I WRONG!!! When I tell you this movie had me so emotionally involved I couldn’t even fall asleep for a while after watching such a beautiful display. I mean the emotions, the deep meanings, the music. It’s as if I reached some sort of epitome about the purest most ideal form of love. This movie is truly remarkable!!!!
Same for me, it was on a local tv network, on late night slot(usually bad movies or flops they got for cheap), beginning to watch it not expecting much, but it just kept getting better and better! Left me in tears after the movie ended! Then I thought what a great movie. Why have I never heard of it!? It was just a few years after it was released! I may say this now has become one of my favorite Robin Williams movies!
OMG I watched him saying, "Hello little miss" a thousand times! 3 words spoken with so much emotion! You are missed dearly Robin Williams and may you RIP.
I not only miss Robin, but I miss the way things were, The writers were definitely better back then. I regret not living in the moment as a kid, all I wanted to do was grow up, be an adult, now that I am, all I want is to go back. I always thought I'd be happier in the future, so I never learned how to be happy with the present. Yesterday is long gone, and tomorrow may never come, so cherish today, Nothing Gold can stay.
Me too. I 100% agree with everything you say here. I too was excited about the future when I was a kid, but now given what has happened to our world over the last 20 years (and at the rate things are currently going now), I am SUPER scared about the future, particularly the next 10, 15, even 20 years down the road. I'm afraid of what this world will look like.
@@musicman76enator remember late 80-90s, when they told us only the evil empire of soviet union stands before the golden era of space exploration, of world's unity and peace? Well that is nowhere is sight nowadays, even the imagined future of Star Trek series became corrupted and the shows of medievals took its place. Culture resembles reality
Easily one of my favourite moments in one of my favourite movies of all time. A moment that can make you laugh, when mere minutes later it is making you cry.
It's even crazier now since it's been 21 years since this movie came out. My all time favorite of all time. I've watched it many times growing up and Robin Williams really changed my outlook on life. Rest in paradise.
I remember when some critics said that the theater had to blow dried, because of all the tears shed... they were right. I still cry to this day when I watch this movie.
I think two of the most lovely scenes in this movie are when she lights up after recognizing him, and when he realizes that that’s Little Miss (even calling her as such as if if were yesterday).
2:15 it's now 20 years later, and Embeth actually _does_ look very similar to how she looked in this movie with the aged makeup! Amazing. Only, she is lovelier, at age 54.
What are you talking about? She looks nothing like that. She looks 10 year younger than that, much sharper and angular face then what the old make up makes her look.
This is one of the few movies I have seen that can actually make me cry. The pathos of Andrew and his quest to transcend his beginnings, to become more than he was... a pure story of metamorphosis. When we talk of "coming of age" movies, this puts them all to shame. Robin Williams had the incredible ability to do comedic scenes with an absolutely straight face. He could bring forth poignancy with very little difficulty, or so it seemed. Robin, your loss was felt by many who knew at least some of your great body of work.
20 years indeed so much changes. Robin Williams with his talent and gift he had to make us laugh and be so entertaining, I really believe he will be remembered for more then the next 20 years.
This is a good part if you pay attention because what Andrew is looking at far as the person the grand daughter Porcha became is all because of Andrew. He taught himself how to play the piano and later taught little Miss and also loved to build and restore stuff etc the list goes on. Porcha inherited alot of stuff that he taught her grandmom and she passed it down to her kids and grand kids. Now that's influence for the future.
I so miss this man. I met him in passing years ago and said I loved his standup. He asked if I did standup also ,I said no but would like to. Then I asked for any advice, he said only this : Get behind the mic then . I need to take his advice.
I remember watching this when I was a kid. I would have been 7 when it came out, so maybe I didn't fully understand it. But I do remember loving it. Even my sister said I was apparently so happy that Andrew became fully human in the end. ^_^ Still warms my heart.
Imagine sometimes great suffering often leads to even greater reward. Andrew endured Loyd since Little Miss birthed him and then Loyd fathered Portia the love of Andrew's life
It’s true just because they look like they have different personalities Portia as cruel as she is she perfect for Andrew I love there chemistry is amazing they make each other laugh! the rudeness does make sense!
There is a deleted scene that never made it to the final cut, but it does appear in the trailer, it's right after this scene. It was the conversation between Little miss and andrew.
This a beautiful film just think of it a robot who knows nothing about human life wants to experience humanity. In life itself decade after decade .that filmmaking at its finest
“Ah, now the rudeness makes sense”. One of my favorite lines.
Same 😂
I came just for that line😊
"Whose daughter is she?" "Lloyd's"
Up to this day, Lloyd's actor (Bradley Whitford)
still embodies rudeness 😂

Rest In Peace Robin Williams. You were truly one of the greatest minds of our time and one of the funniest people in the entertainment industry.
The Midnight Breakfast Show
Breaks my heart. Reminds of when peter pan comes back to find wendy all grown up
That's different, Pan was more surprised and petulant that he couldn't play with her as he used to - until he saw Moira that is.
Yes, Hook was an awesome film. Rip Robin Williams.
I remember when someone was looking at a pic of my grandfather’s cousin and they thought it was me. Sometimes, it really can skip a generation.
Alan parrish
"Whose daughter is she?"
"Floyd's"
"Ah..now the rudeness makes sense." lol
Loyd, little misses sons name was loyd.
Um her son's name is Lloyd. Little Miss' son's name is Lloyd.
Lol I love this movie
Mayweather?
I never got why Robin always hated it

SAME HERE
I don't think the writers from back then were better, it just that there aren't much incetives to make good writing now, at least at mainstream level.
"I don't care, I don't like it". LOL
If i could condense 2020 into a simple sentence, that would be it.
@@LouisJasper I second that.
Aw how she lights up when Andrew says “Hello” ❤️
"Why's she imitating you?" LOL
It's The Thing by John Carpenter
Andrew: Why is she imitating you?
Me: Because they are both played by the same actor.
I really liked this movie. Shame so many didn't.
I did too and I agree with your sentiment.
i dont understand why. Its a criminally underrated film. Williams at his best
I think it's because it was promoted as a Robin Williams' comedy, which it isn't. It's very sad and emotional movie.
A crime, really.
Same. I really like this movie too.
Easily one of my favourite moments in one of my favourite movies of all time. A moment that can make you laugh, when mere minutes later it is making you cry.
Definitely ahead of its time, touching film...
"it really chaps my ass!"
It is a wonderful scene but it doesn't top the kiss.

This one and What Dreams May Come are two of my all time favorites.
Miss Honey’s got an attitude 🤣
I remember when some critics said that the theater had to blow dried, because of all the tears shed... they were right. I still cry to this day when I watch this movie.
I just got done watching it again.
Robin that part always cracked me up in this movie. RIP!
my favorite movie, still makes me cry..... You are missed Sir Robin Wiliams.

Idk how your comment got 43 likes, she’s 55 now in real life and looks nothing like the older version in this scene, this lady looks 75
I cannot figure why this bombed. If it was released say five years ago this would have had several awards.

He'll be remembered forever
Just another beautiful scene from this most wonderful movie. Thanks for posting.
Little miss is so beautiful. I did not live in her era but I am happy to know and see her movie
This scene always made me cry as a kid. Just like... ugh... it's even worse now. RIP Robin Williams.
One of best movies I've ever seen and most people seem to have forgotten it ever existed.
“Who are you?” “It’s Andrew, touch it!” Ahahahaha
You will never be forgotten.
Rip- Robin Williams

... Portia ...
I watched this movie when I was little, I only felt that this movie is fun to watch. Not until later that I realized it was deeper than just fun.
"Now the rudeness makes sense." Loved this movie.
It's that dry wit that I love
Much of that movie is so moving to me. It feels as if they are family to me. I watched that movie so many time in the early 2000's.
Great movie
Best seen in the whole movie. I would have to say that this is one of Robins best movies. And Embeth Davidz is nothing short of amazing.
Great movie. One of Williams best performances.

Easily one of the best movies ever! Many layers in each dialogue and many meanings when you rewatch it over time!
One was Matilda’s father, one was Matilda’s teacher ❤
Robin Williams best performance ever
Thought provoking.
This is an under rated Robin Williams movie.
I always use "little miss" as a term of endearment because of this movie.
This movie was so ahead of its time. Total masterpiece. Everybody misses you Robin... ❤❤❤ Embeth was so gorgeous here ❤
Within the context of the whole movie, this scene is very beautiful.
Portia is the daughter of Lloyd, the son of Little Miss. When he was a kid, he threw sand at Andrew.
- Who's weed is this?
- Not mine, officer!
- Yes, it is yours!
- No!
- Yes!
- No!
- Yes!
- No!
- No?
- Yes.
- So it IS yours!
- NO!
It’s Portia’s
@@DylanRomanov Cop: Who's Portia?
This film was beautiful, of course it brings tears to my eyes, I remember watching it with Tom, my best friend and I cried at the end, Tom hugged me.
Fabulous film. The right man had the best job and played it well.
Oh Williams, what a kind smile he has...that smile...
"And what right do you have to look like her?!"
Could this be a payback for Robin Williams after pranking her? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
the only thing wich stays forever in this life are the photos.....they never die...
gunner6084
We keep them, we protect them, we share them and the photos will live forever. 👍
I understand. Seeing my dad's pictures was hard for the first year, it's still not easy even a few years later but better.
Miss honey from Matilda my favrout movie
"Hello, my friend."
"Hello, Little Miss."
🥺😭
Ahahahah adoro questa scena , Robin Williams oltre che era un grande attore aveva anche molta mimica e questo lo rende speciale
The world misses Robin Williams so much.
“I’ve had an upgrade. Touch it!” 😅
Robin is so serious, but so borderline "But who's Portia" that humor underlies it.
It's the hesitation for me when she said Loyd 🤣🤣
Imagine sometimes great suffering often leads to even greater reward. Andrew endured Loyd since Little Miss birthed him and then Loyd fathered Portia the love of Andrew's life
Man I remember this movie I need to watch it again I feel old now lol
It’s true just because they look like they have different personalities Portia as cruel as she is she perfect for Andrew I love there chemistry is amazing they make each other laugh! the rudeness does make sense!
Both Robin Williams and Embeth Davidtz team up with Mara Wilson sinse Mrs Doubtfire and Matilda it's like Daniel Hillard meets Miss Honey.
Cannot believe Robin is 4 years dead tomorrow(August 11th). Man I miss him so so much.
So do I.
Do you really?
Seems like no one ever talks about this movie. It's a shame. It's great!
I wonder how hard it was for the Actress that played both Portia and Little Miss to play both parts?
This aged makup look better than what we can see today
That back, and forth portion at the middle of this video always reminds me of the Abbott & Costello "Who's On First?" skit.
Claustrophobic
My goodness, it’s Daniel Hillard and Miss Honey… 😱 It’s as if the dad of Nat Hillard met the mom of Matilda…
Or dare I say…
Genie and Jenny!
Me: Looks Like Miranda Hillard Left The Chat
If Doctor Who was an American thing, Robin would be Tom Baker… change my mind (you won’t).
The way I be crying is crazing every time I see a scene of this movie 😢 real tears crying like a baby 🥰😣😔🥰🙌🏻
Dang, I remember this movie. So sad things change alot
Embeth is absolutely Gorgeous :)
this is "whos on first"
You know how the magical incantation "No copyright infringement intended.' works eh xD
Robin would have killed on star trek. he was acting
1:02 Hello?
I love Embeth Davidtz
Miss Jennifer Honey old and young
Mega super film Polecam...👍👍👍👍👏👏👏🙂
his is one of the best movies Robin William did. superrrrrrrrrrr
Sad when you see the picture of the family.
Marvellous movie. I have in the collection. I must get it out again.
Just like Hook Robin Williams marries the main female character's granddaughter.
There is a deleted scene that never made it to the final cut, but it does appear in the trailer, it's right after this scene. It was the conversation between Little miss and andrew.
I miss robin
For those who know, when he walked away and asked which child was portia s parent she started grasping how deep their relationship was.
I saw this as a kid, and always felt like I really get him because of my autism. There are definitely a lot of parallels
2:44 she wasn't being rude
HAHA
Robin is like why is there 2 of you. I need to sit down
😂😂🤣🤣 or in my case there's millions of you and I medical CPR as the whole thing has slightly pickled my brains and put my SOUL into SOULIAC arrest
Robin Williams died on Embeth Davidtz's birthday..
Incredible 😢😭
That was and still is an awesome movie ❤
This a beautiful film just think of it a robot who knows nothing about human life wants to experience humanity. In life itself decade after decade .that filmmaking at its finest
Lol I don't know why but the way he asks "who's portia" makes me laugh a lot
But Andrew is a Robot…
I bet Andrew is not a common name
this movie will always be fucking weird to me. thanks to my older sister
@0:38 I was tooooo young to understand this reference 😂😂😂
One of the greatest movie i recommend you to watch it
This moment makes me cry.
I've always loved this movie
Alex Paniagua Same I really like this film. Quite frankly Robin Williams most underrated film of all time
