What is interesting was that Huey Lewis and the News were initially tapped to contribute to the Ghostbusters soundtrack, but that they were too busy touring to break for that. Then, when Lewis found out that Ray Parker, Jr.'s "Ghostbusters" theme song sounded similar to his "I Want a New Drug," Lewis sued Parker and the two then settled out of court (Lewis broke this agreement in 2001 when he talked about the suit in detail on VH1's Behind the Music, leading Parker to countersue).
Lewis and the News, after the final tours in support of their album Sports had concluded, then signed on to contribute to the soundtrack to Back to the Future, which included not only "The Power of Love" but also "Back in Time."

There's comparison videos up on RUclips... if you overlay the songs over top of each other, they line up 1:1 for like a majority of the song, lol, it's crazy. I've seen some mashups too where.... they didn't really do anything but play them at the same time & it works, lol.

It’s funny because Ray Parker Jr. was sued by Huey Lewis over the Ghostbusters theme’s baseline sounding like to one from “I Want A New Drug” and both Ghostbusters and Back to The Future are franchises that crossed over in LEGO Dimensions.

That is really neat, those remixes in order to create the mashup work so well together. Huey Lewis was asked to do the Ghostbusters theme, but he turned it down. Ray Parker Jr. does the song instead and Huey Lewis comes out with the song I Want A New Drug and it has a lot of similarities to Ghostbusters. I can't remember how the story goes, but someone sued the other.

You like Huey Lewis and the News?
Their early work was a little too new wave for my taste. But when Sports came out in '83, I think they really came into their own, commercially and artistically. The whole album has a clear, crisp sound, and a new sheen of consummate professionalism that really gives the songs a big boost. He's been compared to Elvis Costello, but I think Huey has a far more bitter, cynical sense of humor.
