Because every station is shared with at least one other train and no one wants to go directly from Astoria Ditmars to Whitehall Street on the W. They transfer at Lex-59 st do the 4 or 5 train to go to nearby 4 and 5 stations. Otherwise they'd take the R or the N.
Let's get you on more public transportation you've (hopefully) never set foot on. 1) You're still in Jamaica. Board the JFK AirTrain Red and mosey on down to the airport. Alight at Terminal 6. 2) Change onto the Green AirTrain and proceed to the terminus of Howard Beach. 3) Now back on chartered ground, take the A train to Fulton Street. It'll be a five minute walk down Broadway and on to... 4) ... your first bus on this channel, the X1 service to Hylan Bl/Clove Rd. Take a ten minute walk down Clove Street and on to... 5) The Staten Island Railway! Proceed north to the terminus of St. George. 6) Finish on the mainland by taking the Staten Island Ferry. You'll wind up just outside South Ferry station for your next video.
My son loves watching your videos. I think it's pretty awesome. I have one request. Instead of saying "wrong direction" say "opposite direction". The trsin on the other track. Take a J train to Chambers Street, 4 or 5 to Bowling Green Ferry to Saint George SIRR to Grasmere S53 bus to Bay Ridge (R) to 59th Street (BROOKLYN) (N) to Atlantic-Barclays
I have a suggestion. Take the Airtrain to Howard beach then take the A train to Fulton street then take the 2 train to East 180th street then take the 5 train to Eastchester Dyre Avenue. I would appreciate if you could do this.
24:08 the R188’s which is what you are looking at, are related to the R142’s and R142a’s which also have 3 doors also, the R62’s and R62A’s also have 3 doors.
Suggestion 2: 1. Take the J/Z to Broadway Junction 2. Take the L to Livonia Avenue and do an Out-Of-System transfer to the 3 3. Take the 3 to Crown Heights - Utica Avenue 4. Take the 4 to Fulton Street and do an Out-Of-System transfer to the PATH 5. Take the PATH to Hoboken Terminal 6. Take the NJ Transit Main/Bergen County Line to Ridgewood 7. Have fun in my Hometown! :D
You should do GAMER 1. Start at Broadway Take the G to Hoyt Schermehorn st. Take the A to W4st (Manhattan).Take the M to 5 ave 53 st. Take the E to W.T.C (World Trade Center). Take the R to 4 ave 9 st (Brooklyn)
The console on the R188 (7) is for CBTC which drives the train automatically. The rolling stock from the 7 is the same as the rolling stock used on the 2, 4, 5, and a bit on the 6. It is IRT/A Division. A division cars have three doors and are skinnier, and B division cars are wider and have 4 doors. The B division is the lettered lines, made up of the BMT and IND systems. The A division is the numbered lines and is made up of the IRT which was the first subway system in New York and opened in 1904.
Yea I am from Long Island i Railfann the LIRR on my channel I was from Glen Cove NY until I moved away 2 years ago I was on the Oyster Bay Branch great vid!

hey gogo! could you do this - 5 from bowling Green - all the way up to grand Central -visit the grand Central store in Subway shuttle passage...you will see a awesome Christmas display! -take the 6 back down to city Hall..no distractions from the abandoned station! -End
Maybe do all trains and buses from the first stop to the end! Or if that’s to hard then 7 from flushing then at Times Square transfer tithe shutle then get on the 7 again to Hudson yards
Can You Take (Long Island Railroad) To (Whatever Subway/Subway Station Can Take You To Grand Central) And Then Take The ((Metro North Railroad Anywhere You Want To Go))
1) GoGoSuptoe Go To The 2 Train and 2 Stops 2) GoGoSuptoe Go To The 3 Train and 3 Stops 3) GoGoSuptoe Go To The W Train in 42 Street and GoGoSuptoe is Gon To Queensboro Plaza 4) GoGoSuptoe Go To The 7 Train in Queensboro Plaza with N and W Train and GoGoSuptoe is Gon To The Woodsids Then GoGoSuptoe Go To The LIRR.
Q from Coney Island to 7th Av, B to DeKalb, R to 59th Street, 6 to 110th, 4 to 149th, 2 to 125th, NOT 135th, 3 to Harlem. What I love about this is that you take each route for its number of stations. Q is 17th letter, and you take it 17 stops, is 2nd number, and you take it 2 stops, etc.
You should do the D train from bay parkway then take it to coney then take the q to the b train then take that to atlantic ave station and then take an lirr to Jamaica
Do This: Go To Sutphin Blvd - Archer Av - JFK Airport (Nearest NYCT Station)> E To 74 St - Broadway > 7 To Court Sq > G To Hoyt Schermerhorn > A To 59 St - Columbus Circle > 1 To 168 St (E7GA1) (E, 7, 1 Is Slowcal) (G Is Crosstown) (A Is Express)

The rolling stock used on the 7 is the R188 which is an upgraded version of the R142 equipped for CBTC (communications-based train control).
Well, R142A. not The R142
@@GrowlingMotors r142/r142a
