I hate being the guy who knows this, but that's not how the bible goes. Jesus kisses Judas on the cheek to say he's gonna betray him. The feet washing happens before, with a different disciple who doesn't betray Jesus. All the same, that's probably the point of the scene anyway, it's just that kissing would have made for a more awkward scene than drying his feet after the rain.

TheBoldenb he could be someone (like me) that does it on purpose. I do it to annoy my Spanish family and to spite them by not speaking Spanish (because I can't obviously)
That scene in the rain was probably one of the best moments of the show in a really sad way. L asked Light a simple question. A weird, childish question. "From the moment you were born has there ever been a moment were you have told the truth?". The first time i saw the show I thought L somehow knew himself already defeated and wanted to just provoke Light, but then, if you think about how Light answers, it really takes on a horrible meaning. Light does not ask further questions, he doesn't ask what L is talking about or what does it have to do with. Instead he argues that EVERYONE lies, and that the fact that he does doesn't make him evil or a bad person. But that's just it. Any other normal person would ask what they've lied about, or when, and worried about it. But not only does Light know exactly what L is talking about, his own self-aggrandizing, narcissistic nature compels him to get offended because the fact that he does what he does (lying and cheating to keep murdering) doesn't mean he's a bad person. Far from it. He's the God of the new word. He knows he's suspected of killing hundreds of innocent people, and then wonders what does lying have to do with it. And L knows that that's exactly what Kira is like. Someone who is easily provoked into excusing their own misdeeds and believes most of all in their own righteousness. With just one question L found Light's mind to be identical to Kira's. His hunch is confirmed. But it's too late, and there is no actual evidence. And then he dies, having solved his mystery.
YOU SHALL NOT PASS!!!!! The one problem with that is that in the entire context of the anime until this moment. L and Light were both main characters. Both had overarching plots, were featured in every episode, we could hear both of their own thoughts, were, in context, shown to be the equivalents to each other. I don’t think that evil can’t be a protagonist, but they can’t both be protagonists if they oppose each other.
If Rem killed the guy who wrote the name after 13 days, she would almost certainly be extending Misa's lifespan by making her seem innocent. Rem would still die as a result of this, but she would be dying while leaving L behind. Rem realized that L was obsessed with pinning Light and Misa, and that he would never stop no matter what she did. The only way for Rem to guarantee Misa's long-term safety was to take L down permanently, and kill herself in the process. Also there's three notebooks in play now, not two. There's Misa's notebook, which she has on her, Light's Notebook, which is in the possession of the Task Force, and now Rem's personal notebook, which Light just picked up. Anywho, I'm curious what they'll do with the next episode, since it's kinda recap-y, but not completely. I can't really recall how much of it is actually original footage aside from some bits at the end and beginning.
I think it’s Misa’s original notebook in possession of Task force since Rem was following it and If it was Light’s it would put him in risk since there are names that Light wrote early in the series like Rey Penber or his GF. And there was only one piece torn whereas Light was constantly ripping his death note
That's assuming if Rem knew who the prisoners are. She needs to know their names. If she knew where they were, she would need to get away to learn what their names are.
Yeah, the notebook situation does get confusing as they switch shinigamis around, rems notebook got added to it and it only gets worse as they'll move around more and more.
"If Rem killed the guy who wrote the name after 13 days, she would almost certainly be extending Misa's lifespan by making her seem innocent" It's clearly established that lifetime numbers are somehow determined by the natural order and that the death note is completely outside of that order. Basically they avoid the famous paradox of how prediction of the future affect the future by saying the prediction is only true until the tool to affect the future (the death note) is used. So any lifespan determined by the use of the death note (lengthening or shortening) should only be updated AFTER said use of the death note. Meaning that currently, Misa's lifespan is her original natural remaining lifespan (divided by around 4 because she got the eyes twice). Considering Rem makes no particular remark let's assume she still has around 15 years to live. As long as the inmate doesn't use the death note, she will still have 15 years to live and killing that inmate will not lengthen her lifespan. But as soon as they do the test of having the guy writing a name in the death note, Misa's lifespan should immediately be shortened to a few weeks as she's about to be condemned and executed. What that all mean is that as you say Rem could not kill the guy after 13 days as that would still kill her and leave everything in a worse situation. She could however kill him before he can write anything in the death note (like killing all the death row inmates in the country at once or something like that to fuzzy her motivations a little bit) without causing Misa's current lifespan to change. So that's a possible (albeit pretty short term) solution to this conundrum that doesn't require her to kill herself. And if the time she bought isn't enough, she can always kill L and herself at that point.
Christ washes the feet of his apostles before his death. He washed the feet of Judas, who in the end betrays Christ ending in his death. Christ knew Judas would betray him even though he chose him to work with him, just like L and Light.
My favorite interpretation of L and Light talk about telling the truth is the idea that all of Light’s life has been a simple facade for this sociopathic person underneath. Was he a good person gone bad? Or has he always been bad, and been lying to himself and everyone around him?
This is so fuckin old but why not, it just bugs me. I reckon light more fits the psycopath description rather than sociopath. Sociopaths tend to be more impulsive, rage prone, and actually have the ability to form limited empathy and real intimate connection with others (though really only to like 1 person or 1 group). It could be argued that light has empathy and care for his family, but i wouldnt have a doubt in my mind that he would throw em under the bus if need be. A psycopath is more calculated, educated (usually), and is pretty much devoid and incapable of empathy/care for others. Psycopaths tend to be inherent and genetic (though the traits can also manifest from environmental shite) and sociopaths tend to be formed from their environment (though of course their is also genetic factors that come into play, i actually know a dude who doesnt hide the fact that he is a clinical sociopath, due to thin gray matter in his ol dome piece, he is a functional person, and obeys social standards and expectations due to intense behavioural therapy from a young age). We see that light without the memories of the death note is an incredibly moral character, and capable of empathy and care, which supports the idea that he becomes "evil" due to environmental factors (the death note), and that he becomes sociopathic not psycopathic, but I just dont really think he fits the bill for one. I would chock it up to anime shite, and say he is still more of a psycopath. Then again, these things are very complicated, sociopaths TEND to be more rage prone, impuslive, uneducated and careless (tending to leave clues of crimes), however of course that isnt the case every time. The sociopath i know is a rather intelligent dude, and will offer kind words and help if you ask it, if you tell him a sad story, (though he will be a bit distant and awkward about it, it all being learned empathy; him more less reasoning in his head "a bad thing has occurred, you feel bad when a bad thing has occurred, when you know others feel bad you offer kind words, therefore i will offer kind words because a bad thing has occurreed, they feel bad because of it, and thats what you do when this happens." Not real empathy, as in actually feeling bad then offering kind words because you know if you were in that situation, you know it would feel bad for you, thus relating to them, and simulating within yourself their emotions), due to the intense behavioural therapy he underwent to condition him to know the ways of being human and what is expected of him. It could be that Light is a sociopath and has underwent the same sort of thing. Perhaps not necessarily behavioural therapy, but he has been stated by Ryuuk as having a strong will, maybe he simply has forced himself to adhere to societies expectations when utilizing the death note. Idk. Also, another trait of a psycopath not seen in sociopaths is assertiveness. Psycopaths generally have functioning assertiveness, the ability to, for example, maintain and not back down from their point in an argument or debate. Sociopaths generally have a lesser degree of assertiveness, while they are likely to still maintain their opinions in a debate or argument, they are less likely to continue to bring them up, and less likely to continuously challenge the opposition in the name of their opinion. Light is seen being rather assertive, denoting psycopathic traits. The traits of his behaviour say psycopath, the way in which he only becomes "evil" through the use of the death note say sociopath. On top of that, the traits of such conditions, and for that matter every condition under the sun, is highly malleable, able to present themselves differently within each person. Anyway i think thatll conclude my ramblings.
@@silversalmon9909 That rant lol i agree, however i refuse to apply psychopath/sociopath labels to fictional characters, due to the fact i doubt the author is well versed in personality disorders.
@@silversalmon9909 Very interesting I had never known all of that. From the moment I saw how much Light didn't care about everyone else, it looked weird to me, unrealistic. Because I also saw how he behaved when he had no memory of being Kira... It seemed too different. I enjoyed the 2015 live action drama because there he had some problems before becoming Kira, and throughout the series he still became too crazy, but he always believed to be doing the right thing for the world, instead of just becoming drunk of power. And he actually felt a bit bad for sacrificing the lives of the ones he cared about (without spoiling anything). So I would have liked the anime even more if Light felt some empathy... and if L lived *sigh*
I think they deleted the data because if they were being killed, then that means Kira won and he would have access to all their assets. When an enemy pushes you back, you destroy anything of value in your land before retreating. Since they knew they were going to die, they decided to destroy all data so Kira couldn't use it in any aspect.
Here come the complaints: "This is where the show ended for me" "The rest of the show is garbage" I'll be the first to admit that the last third of the show isn't as engaging as the first two, but I liked it regardless. L's death doesn't mean the end, not even close.
Lol, death note was meant to end early. But the editor force the author to prolong it because it was a huge success. That's why after L death it turns into hot garbage If you read Bakuman a manga from the creator of death note. They dump all the trash there, they even explicitly show how they want to end their manga
Super sad to see L go. He's one of my favorite characters across all media. The first time I watched the series, I stopped here because I couldn't get into the new antagonists. But after finishing it like a few months later, it's actually only a little "less good" than the first 25 episodes. I'd give the first part 10/10, while the second part would be a 9/10. You need to augment your focus a little bit; the series had a huge investment and focus on Light and L's relationship, but now it's primarily how Light is putting his true plan into action, unabated, and how it slowly changes him by the end of the series.
I know there's going to be a lot of people crying havoc and abandoning ship after this episode, but honestly, I'm kind of excited. Sure, the latter third of the show is a bit... rickety. But, it's also a bit more fast-paced and action-packed, which I think will make for some pretty good reactions. There were a few episodes in this part of the show where you could tell the gang were kind of drifting off from time to time, which I think at least won't be the case with the rest. Could be fun, we'll see.
Spoilers I respect the author for killing one of the 2 this early .....look 8 of the 10 main characters in this seires die...and only 1 lives from the start and wasn't in the first 2 episodes ...that's gotta be a record ...this series was ballsy....
It really isn’t as bad as people make it out to be. It’s a noticable drop in quality sure i’ll agree, but it’s not mind numbingly awful like people would make it out to be. Also I like Near so I guess i’m biased in my opinions..
I like to imagine that Light’s smirk was at least partially for L. He probably gained some genuine respect for him after all that time. He smirked not only because he had won, but also to give L that one last bit of closure that he was right all along.
I never saw it as L knowing he was gonna die. I always thought L felt off and lost, almost like he felt like he lost control in a world he felt in complete control of. The introduction of shinigami, the fact that Light isn’t Kira (as a more probable thought at least), and these supernatural forces and powers of killing probably tilted his viewpoint upside down and inside out. That’s why I think the flashback was important since it was a time where he felt scared and out of control. Just my thoughts though.
I know I'm super late, but I think that's a great interpretation. But the "From the moment you were born have you ever actually told the truth?" And "It'll be lonely won't it? We'll be parting ways soon" Kind of show that he knew. But either way, I think you're still correct that he was reflecting on when things were much more in control
I'm surprised you guys didn't get " the bells have been ringing all day" as a reference to L hearing church bells which means he knew he was gonna die soon.
I actually really like the last part of the show, yeah it's not as personal as the beginning but I still find it enjoyable and the final episode is great! So excited to see your opinions.
I'm surprised most people who dropped it were L fans, since you'd think they would be more committed to seeing Light finally beaten. L's death is actually a horrible place to stop because there's a little fake coda in it that briefly describes the remainder of the investigative crew Light kills off and talks about his new reign, and it just gives the feel of a brutal downer ending lol if you chose to stop there. Anyway yeah I agree, I liked the remainder of the show more than most, Near and Mello really weren't a problem for me and that finale was just excellent. It was all worth it. L's my man, but Light's the one I started this journey with. If people really stopped where they claim they did, I get the feeling they were just never that interested in the show and prefer to blame L's fate.
Well when I first watched this episode my mind went to a completely depressed state. My life started feeling empty. I wasn't able to enjoy my life for about 4 months. And that's why I loved this series so much.
And thus marks the day that I stopped watching. Until I sucked it up and finished the damn series. It's still a really good watch despite L being gone.
I wish more L fans accepted he died and watched the rest ...they would love how light life comes apart and how he lost and look I get some wanted L over near to beat him but at least he lost ...most L fans skipped the series after 25 and only some know of the finale and light fans were pissed about the end so they spew hate for everything past 25
I finished it because I can never seem to leave a series unfinished. Don’t get me wrong, I was upset when L died, but there were certain aspects of the plot that kept me interested. Most of the scenes with the task force after L’s death were pretty boring to me, but I enjoyed seeing how Near and Mellow would end up catching Kira. I know a lot of people hate this, but I liked how quickly Near assumes Light was Kira. He picked up on how Light seemed a little more arrogant, and found ways to trip up his ego. (In shows and movies, it can be interesting to see how an arrogant person acts once their ego is gone. I haven’t seen any examples of it irl, but it might be intriguing too)
Ethan Reusora No ones bashing. Its just the truth of the matter that many people quit watching the show after L died because of L. Its not bad to admit it
Light looking with the most evil sneaky eyes at Rem who is realising she needs to sacrifice her life for a human: Blindwave; “She’s so freaky” WHAT?! She looks ‘normal’ to me, Light looked more freaky 😂
I hated when L was killed off, but I feel his death drove the plot even more, (my opinion.) After Light kills L, he becomes cocky and that’s where he made mistakes and underestimated Nears abilities. He tried to play the same games with Near as he did with L. But I also feel, that L was at peace, not only because he accepted his fate and was never afraid to die, but because he knew this time he was right about Light all along, and knew he would get cocky and eventually caught, L’s death, would be Lights downfall.
I literally cried the day i watched this episode. My brain was only showing me the scenes where L was in the rain, L cleaning the feet of Light and the grin of Light when L died... i couldn't process the betrayal, I was very sad thinking about L. Finally I convinced my self that its just a show, but till this day whenever i remember L falling off his chair, my eyes fill up with tears☹🙁
The most important part of this episode is that L KNOWS Light is Kira. Immediately after they obtain the notebook, Light's personality changes. It's not super obvious, but it's clear, especially to someone like L. Not to mention, taking into account the Death Note, if you place Light as Kira, and Misa as the second Kira, everything makes the most sense. The ONLY issue is the 13 day rule. Assuming it's true ,they obviously can't be the Kira's from before. That's why he was so adamant about testing it, and so adamant when the others argued that it wouldn't be right. L would've been able to solve everything by writing a single name in the notebook. What's worse, L also knows he's on borrowed time. The main counter he had against Light!Kira before is that he constantly made it clear that if L died at certain points, all suspicion would shift to Light. But since light has been "cleared" that defense doesn't work, so Kira has no reason to keep him around.
The foot massaging scene actually does have a meaning for it. It's not part of the plot, but as you've noticed there's a lot of Christian imagery in this anime. L cleaning Light's feet is suppose to symbolize how Jesus cleaned Judas' feet the day before Judas betrayed him.
L washing Light's feet was absolutely a biblical reference to Jesus washing Judas' feet the day before he betrayed him. So yeah you were pretty close. Loooots of biblical symbolism, imagery, and references in this series.
I think the washing of the feet was symbolic of Jesus washing the feet of Judah. Or, in other words, L knew that Light was going to betray him soon but still acknowledged that he still cared about Light and trusted him so much, keeping him close even though he knew it would eventually happen.
Such a powerful episode. L knew that it was Light at the end there, saying they'll be parting soon like that. And there's no way that he could claim Light was Kira again until that 13 day rule was tested. It was a hail mary, and by all accounts L was going to win. I hope you guys like what's coming next. Personally, I believe it's really strong, but the fanbase majority doesn't like it. Curious to know your thoughts
I'm very late to reply to this, but if that 13 day rule had been tested as L planned, that would have pretty much confirmed that Light was Kira from day 1, L wins and Misa is convicted as the second Kira Thats why Rem died, if the rule had been tested Misa would have been sentenced to death
I just realized. The rule was 13 days, and he made it so the span of time where Kira was resting was 14 days, as an explanation for why Kira’s targets suddenly changed
I always assume that L has a peaceful/slightly smile at the last moment before his death, is the fact that he sort of prove/confirmed that Light is the KIRA after all so he was right all along.
Damn these comments just confirm that anime fans can be some of the most toxic ever. I'm glad Blind Wave don't read the comments like some channels do, that way they can form their own opinions of the show! Looking forward to it!
Zach Archer What does it have to do with anime fans? This is the ONLY anime I've ever watched, and even I felt that the remaining episodes were lacklustre because the dynamic between Light and L had ended. That had been the entire focus of the show up until this point, and without it I was left feeling like the end-goal had been lost.
When L said to light "I am sad" he meant that what he became after getting death note cuz till that moment he solved everything he knew Light is kira and his memory was gone and his personality is totally different from the one he became after touching death note
this is one of my favorite episodes I like the part where misa sings and light's face when l dies not the fact that l died but light's reaction of the fact that he won
do u know it an urban legend that *when a person is about to die , he will hear bells ringing in his ears* which probably L herd in that rain part and when episode started
Well guys 3 more months until we get to the end. Can't wait to see their reaction. Edit: Also by the power of date calculator, the final episode should be on June 19, 2018
Light and Rem don't know the identity of the inmate so they couldn't just kill him/her. Also there are 3 notebooks now. Misa has her original one, the task force has Light's original one, and Light himself has Rem's.
I think L just thought that since all the paths he had taken seemed to lead to deadend he was probably going to die soon... thats what the "game" had been all along one or the other was going to be out, he ran out of time and options and knew it...
I was thinkin the same about Rem killing the guy in 13 days too. But I'm sure L would have been smart about it and either not let them know who the guy was or tricked them somehow by not really having him test it but tell Light and Rem he did so when dude did die, L would know he's Kira.
I think L knew that Light is Kira but felt like he would never be able to prove it and sooner or later he was going to be killed. He seemed very accepting of this which is why L told Light theyd be parting ways and made preparations to delete all of the information he's gathered should something happen to him. (Possibly to keep important information away from Light/Kira?)
@Momo Yaoyorozu No, they were important to him but the book was more important because he thought that he's going to fix the world. So it's more important than his family's life and even his own life
I'm pretty sure the deletion of all information was protocol to stop it from falling into the wrong hands. Not that it matters since Light's in full control anyway, but there it is.
I’m so glad they didn’t know L was going to die, I really wanted a genuine reaction. I always wondered what it was like to watch the show not knowing he’d die in episode 25. I hated the fact that I got spoiled.
First time I watched the show I didn't like the last 3rd either but after re watching and trying to appreciate what the last arc is instead of being a crying dumbass I realised it was just as good as the rest of the show.
2:25 We don't know what happened to any of the kids in that place, if they were orphans, if they were runaways, if they were abandoned or if they were just sent there, but I think to L that was still the closest thing he ever had to a proper home and that as far as he was emotionally and mentally capable of caring for someone he cared for Watari
This episode has such a heavy atmosphere and you realize why at the end, this isone of the best episodes I have ever saw in an anime, makes me sad at the same time, but still I love how everything is done!
I think the feet washing scene was meant indeed to be a biblical reference. About Jesus, washing Judas's feet, aware of his betrayal... And letting himself be sacrificed, wich CAN also be true, if L was actually planning something about his death... And I believe he did. But now he's gone, I have to wonder... What will Light do now, without that thrill of the chase he and L used to have? Constantly challenging each other, in that weird mind intimacy they shared. That very boredom Light felt at the very beginning. THAT should be interesting, eh?
The feet cleaning scene is when Jesus cleaned the feet of Judas, because he knew he was gonna betray him.
is it really or just a theory tho?
@@Noone-uo2cf the thing is that we're unsure, however it wouldn't be too surprising due to how thick with christian symbolism death note has

Aibar Tulepkaliyev It's Light's notebook.Check the exchanging of notebook scene properly.
Yeah, the notebook situation does get confusing as they switch shinigamis around, rems notebook got added to it and it only gets worse as they'll move around more and more.
"If Rem killed the guy who wrote the name after 13 days, she would almost certainly be extending Misa's lifespan by making her seem innocent"
It's clearly established that lifetime numbers are somehow determined by the natural order and that the death note is completely outside of that order.
THE END IS NEAR GUYS

Christ washes the feet of his apostles before his death. He washed the feet of Judas, who in the end betrays Christ ending in his death. Christ knew Judas would betray him even though he chose him to work with him, just like L and Light.
My favorite interpretation of L and Light talk about telling the truth is the idea that all of Light’s life has been a simple facade for this sociopathic person underneath. Was he a good person gone bad? Or has he always been bad, and been lying to himself and everyone around him?
It's also a well-executed "I know you're Kira, Light, and I know you're going to kill me" moment. You can hear how much it hurts L to say that.
@@silversalmon9909 bruh u should try making episode reviews
It's called the Scorched Earth tactic, right?

Here come the complaints:
"This is where the show ended for me"
"The rest of the show is garbage"
I'll be the first to admit that the last third of the show isn't as engaging as the first two, but I liked it regardless. L's death doesn't mean the end, not even close.
Weston Johnson yeah but the way near finds out is bullshit, her eyes turn white and just all of a sudden knows
AlexStealsMemes nears a he
Lol, death note was meant to end early. But the editor force the author to prolong it because it was a huge success. That's why after L death it turns into hot garbage
If you read Bakuman a manga from the creator of death note. They dump all the trash there, they even explicitly show how they want to end their manga
Weston Johnson The complaints are justified
Its still good just compered to everything up until now its meh, its average, its not the end game that a show like this deserves.
This episode will always hurt. Every time I can feel the betrayal that L feels.
You know, "rickety" is probably the kindest description I've ever heard of the final third of this show.
It wasn't bad as much as it was extremely fast paced. It was really hard to follow and way too overdramatic at times. I personally prefer the manga.

I respect the author for killing one of the 2 this early .....look 8 of the 10 main characters in this seires die...and only 1 lives from the start and wasn't in the first 2 episodes ...that's gotta be a record ...this series was ballsy....
It really isn’t as bad as people make it out to be.
It’s a noticable drop in quality sure i’ll agree, but it’s not mind numbingly awful like people would make it out to be.
Also I like Near so I guess i’m biased in my opinions..
Meganime of course not, everyone's just pissed that L died
I like to imagine that Light’s smirk was at least partially for L. He probably gained some genuine respect for him after all that time. He smirked not only because he had won, but also to give L that one last bit of closure that he was right all along.
"I can't imagine L just rolling over and letting Light win like this." - famous last words.

Sam is Dead oh no, trust me. They've said it from episode one over and over and over.
What’s the difference between the two people though...
The last 12 episodes are basically "What if L knew about the Death Note from the start"
We'll be parting ways soon"
Kind of show that he knew. But either way, I think you're still correct that he was reflecting on when things were much more in control
I'm surprised you guys didn't get " the bells have been ringing all day" as a reference to L hearing church bells which means he knew he was gonna die soon.
For whom the bell tolls
L about to die, Light grins, L's eyes close. three seconds later...
"I knew it!" L's eyes open "he is Kira! Mogi, arrest Light Yagami!"
if Rem did kill the other guy 13 days after and cleard Misas name she would have intentionally saved her life, therefor killing Rem
Rem was fucked no matter what she did either she broke her oath to protect Misa which leaves her with no reason to live or died saving Misa.
Lets be serious. The slash-fics started WAY before this episode.
I actually really like the last part of the show, yeah it's not as personal as the beginning but I still find it enjoyable and the final episode is great! So excited to see your opinions.
Same I like it too
I'm surprised most people who dropped it were L fans, since you'd think they would be more committed to seeing Light finally beaten.
Asmosis Jones
The rest of the series was great. I was just being a baby. I got over it, and enjoyed it despite L being gone.
I haven’t seen any examples of it irl, but it might be intriguing too)
Ethan Reusora
No ones bashing. Its just the truth of the matter that many people quit watching the show after L died because of L. Its not bad to admit it
Your initial decisions suck ass
Love the different thumbnail color for this episode
Light looking with the most evil sneaky eyes at Rem who is realising she needs to sacrifice her life for a human:
Blindwave; “She’s so freaky”
WHAT?!
Lol Calvin was mad and disappointed cause L died I can see it in his face 😂
Had no idea people disliked the rest of the series this much, I liked it as much as the first half.
Then you have no taste.
I literally cried the day i watched this episode. My brain was only showing me the scenes where L was in the rain, L cleaning the feet of Light and the grin of Light when L died... i couldn't process the betrayal, I was very sad thinking about L. L washing lights feet is a Christian analogy to when Jesus washed Judas feet before Judas betrayed him
The most important part of this episode is that L KNOWS Light is Kira.
Me when L collapsed and Light caught him;
"It's a trueeeee feeelin- "
Light does that evil ass grin;
Me; "fuck u".

I'm very late to reply to this, but if that 13 day rule had been tested as L planned, that would have pretty much confirmed that Light was Kira from day 1, L wins and Misa is convicted as the second Kira
Thats why Rem died, if the rule had been tested Misa would have been sentenced to death
I just realized. The rule was 13 days, and he made it so the span of time where Kira was resting was 14 days, as an explanation for why Kira’s targets suddenly changed
Without L the World is just a Word
I always assume that L has a peaceful/slightly smile at the last moment before his death, is the fact that he sort of prove/confirmed that Light is the KIRA after all so he was right all along.
9:49 that's the face you make when your autocorrect changes

true, every fanbase has it's toxic department
Zach Archer What does it have to do with anime fans? This is the ONLY anime I've ever watched, and even I felt that the remaining episodes were lacklustre because the dynamic between Light and L had ended. That had been the entire focus of the show up until this point, and without it I was left feeling like the end-goal had been lost.
That goes for fans over all not just anime, not even close.

Their reaction to episode 26 has half as many views, and I'm convinced it's because nobody can continue after watching L die.

Be sure to watch "Death Note Director's Cut - L's Funeral [English Dub]". (From the recap movie "Relight")

I think i'm the only one who really likes Mello's plot
Ule ya he takes like the action route and moving things faster than being the smart and waiting type even though he was smart
