Mr Flibble I’m 90% sure they cut the audio before 2nd line. They also cut the shot a split second before the line was cut, looking seemless but in slow motion you can see it. My guess is the 2nd part of the first take wasn’t appropriate for a ‘angry’ reaction, so they shot it into the actual script
Just heard about Paul Ritter’s passing. Such a huge loss. Sending his family all my best wishes. Martin Goodman has made me smile on my lowest days.

Came back here to pay my respects to Paul Ritter after his sudden and tragic passing. When the latest season ended, I really hoped it wouldn't be the end... but now because of Paul's passing, I really do hope it's the end now because the show wouldn't be ANYWHERE NEAR the same without him or if the character was recasted. Was a big part of the show and was a favourite character to many. Myself included.
Paul Ritter, thank you for the unbelievable amount of laughs you've given to many of us whilst playing the iconic Martin Goodman.

Just heard that this guy died a bit ago. As a Canadian, I was completely unfamiliar with him or this show...it's been two hours or so since I read the news and I've looked at nothing but clips from this amazingly hilarious show! RIP hilariously talented man.

Honestly don't know how the show can carry on now. Just won't be the same. With the 2 grandma's it could as they weren't in every episode whereas Martin was and without him it's just never going to be the same. Hands down the most iconic, funniest cast member.
