You still young and there's lot and a lot of opportunities you still to do and even if you didn't go to prop firm industry with your own prop firm but still your fellow Trader need Paladin as long as life is still going on .

I 've traded my own personal account since 2003,yes 21 years and much prefer it,these Prop firms are online casino's with all the rules in their favor to make you fail,that's why the U.S. banned them!!! Most Prop traders are too scared to trade their own money but when you are successful,you can make as much money as you want and withdraw it daily,unlike Prop firms

Sorry to hear that. I am currently going thru the shits with The Funded Trader. They make sure all trades are messed up. Once I place trades, they get executed very poorly. My take profit orders are rejected once the trade is online and I can't close the trades when they are in profit. Manual closing of trades is rejected unless I am deep in the red. Then they miracuously work. No reply from TFT support for days. Good, I am also trading futures. Good luck to you!

@@muhammadsyahrizal4276 I have no idea, the platform dxtrade is just rejecting my orders. Support does not reply so far. I assume they have huge problems on the technical side.Also the minimum trade size increased from 0.01 to 0.1 which exposes smaller accounts‘ risk to incredibly high proportions.
I have the same problem with FX2. When in big profit, the TP is not triggered. When I have a stoploss, they trigger it although the candles are 20 pips away from the SL.

Paladin do you recommend people that don’t really go a lot of capital to stick to forex or go to futures because the monthly payment on futures is kind of pricey what do you think ?

Im with you regarding the trailing drawdowns, daily drawdowns etc..
The most stupidest rule is building up your own DD when funded and only being able to withdraw 50% and leaving a cushion which essentially is your profit

Thats actually been happening already over the last couple years. But yes I do believe with more people coming over from forex will create even more competition for futures firms with each other.

Why did prop firms ban you?
Regarding the equity trailing drawdown. Most futures prop firms cap the daily drawdown at 0, right? If the daily drawdown limit is 2k and your balance is 3k then until your balance falls below 2k I think most will keep your daily drawdown equal to your account balance, right? Also, the problem with future's firms is that if you are really successful you will be able to build your personal account up to a point where you don't need them any more so they have to constantly prospect for new clients. The leverage that futures can offer is so large that your trade size will almost always be driven by acceptable losses rather than account size once you reach a certain level of consistency.

Hi, if u can please list which prop firms you stopped using. There are other reputable props that still allow us customers...
Don't understand why everyone whines about the trailing drawdown. If you're trading large size, you're going to be out of the drawdown within a day or 2 and trading with your profits either way. Many firms offer end of day drawdown but you have to pay extra for the challenge.
Only reason topstep is decent now is because many firms have popped up in the last few years offering amazing deals causing topstep to do huge cuts to their prices and rules.
US trader here. Switched to futures this week (3/4/24). At first I was afraid of learning a new platform and learning how to calculate risk. After the first few trades I now feel more comfortable. Kinda prefer futures right now.

Tried few months topstep, I found it is much better than fx.no abnormal slippage or insane spread. also personal account is awesome too.

the only thing about top step is that you have to close your trades when market close, even with currency futures, literally had to close 3 trades in a row that all hit TP....if you trade on anything above the 15 min, just grow your own account...even if you trade on the 15min...if price consolidate you might have to close because of that rule before it takes off

futures prop firms also use demo "live" accounts, these orders you place do not go through the exchanges.

Because he cant be profitable on an private account. These guys just used large risk to pass the challenges quick and get large payouts…they purchase multiple challenges and hope that a few get through and then trade with 4.9% risk otherwise they wouldnt get these payouts…they dribbled the system….but on a live account or acc‘s with trailing drawdown this looks completely different …they wouldnt even be profitable long term

The top traders that started at TopStep always end up leaving and going to Apex and others. Been seeing it happen for 2 years now. But doesn't have to be "this or that", I'd just suggest going with all of them and trading a bit at a time. Not like you're locked in with the firms.

We can still trade forex on two regulated brokers for the US that have been around for years. I’m learning futures but I’m not giving up on forex.
But with only 1:10 or 1:15 leverage its terrible. Who wants to put up around $10k to trade a 1 lot of GBP/USD? I'd rather stick with unregulated brokers where you can get 1:500 ...like Hankotrade or Coinexx for US traders.

I'm sorry to hear, but there was not much detail about being banned. Were you funded with them and they just banned you, or were you in challenge phase? I still have my FTMO account and they haven't "banned" me yet. Another note, it is good to look at the fine details with the futures prop firms, especially pertaining to max withdrawal requests per account size. All the best.

Facts 😂. All the money these guys waste doing these prop firms they could’ve put that money in their own account. You could do DoorDash part-time at night and on weekends and in four months have close to $8000. That’s like having a $80,000 prop firm account and if you make 10% your personal account would be at 16,000. Trade that for one or two years you could easily be sitting upwards of $60-$75,000 in your personal account. Most people don’t want to do that though they want the shortcut.

I'd personally just stick with forex prop firms. I've done futures prop firms like Apex and Bulenox also..but their rules are really restrictive. The training drawdown and payout restrictions suck compared to the good forex firms out there.

are you sure that trades on futures prop firms are sent to the exchange/market? They probably only use the price feed of futures quotes. Definitely not sending trades to the market.
