Such a great Song for a great locomotive. Combined with these great pictures and the text which perfectly points out how grat it is, that a Big Boy is running again, brought tears of joy to my eyes. I live in Germany and I hope that I can visit 4014 sometimes. When I was around 10 years old, I went to a peddlers market and bought a "great looking stam engeine" for my modelrailroad. It turned out that it was a Big Boy. This layed the tracks into a future where the Big Boy is not the only Union Pacific locomotive which is running on my layout and opened me the world of North American Railroads.🖤
Thanks so much for watching the video and sharing your wonderful memory of getting a Big Boy! Sounds like you have a great railroad layout! Greetings to Germany! 🇩🇪

Man, I am so happy I saw him in 2019.... I still remember that sight of that huge locomotive... I could see myself as a kid looking up so much about that locomotive. And that day I saw her crossing that bridge to get to him in chicago... I shed a tear that day. I saw a locomotive I thought was gone.
Some kid at my school blasts this on his phone every single morning and I found out what the song was called because I memorized some of the lyrics because he plays it so much
Thanks for your patience 😂 I’m usually better about responding but got behind as we got into summer. I thought it was so cool that the kid blasted the song on his phone every single morning.
Love the song and the train. Love the old trains. Even The Big Boy 4014. I read up on the train and we have one of The Big Boy in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Someone saw Big Boy and said that the train is beautiful and big.
Great britain may have the aesthetics and speed but American steam locomotives have the brute strength and powerful force that can pull endless tons of freight and Big boy is the biggest of them all, the ground shakes, when he is near and diesel and electric trains shivers as smoke and steam shows a black silhouette of the Big Boy, thank you for making this masterpiece, I just put this in my playlist along with Streamliners and Norfolk and Western songs. Edit: I just remembered the Americans have fast and beautiful locomotives as well like New York streamlined Hudsons, Daylight, 611, Sierra 3, UP 844, Challenger and Big Boy as well

@@trainspotter.263 Danke sehr! Meine Mutter kommt aus Ludwigshafen! 🇩🇪
Have seen "big boy" in Missouri, gives me goosebumps, what a beautiful sight. Bless all those dedicated people at UP that worked sooo hard to bring 4014 alive again. Many thousands of people have lined the rails for just a glimpse of "big boy". Safe journey to all involved. Roll on big boy!!!
This was sick
I loved it. The angles and being able to see that UP got big boy running again is just awesome!
I'm on 86 year old woman when I was young about 70 years ago I remember we don't have RUclips we listen to on radio and it's country songs where really good back then they took all the fun out of it I mean song out of it

If this song is on Spotify, I am 100% getting it. Musicians like these guys and of course this engine both exude what it means to live in America. Roll on Big Boy. Hope to see her someday. :D

@@Nebraska66 He, not she. Big boy is male.
@@TheOneTrueDragonKing no it's not. Every object is a female except of course male animals and humans.
Wrong. Most trains and ships, along with vehicles are referred to as female.
The Big Boy is male, so was the German battleship KMS Bismarck.
A beautiful reward for Big Boy and crew !. I love the song !

Big boy is the largest engine in the world and it is working itself to retirement
Its crazy to know that a engine from 1959 is still rumbling and rolling even in 2024. Roll on big big no 4014!
It’s amazing. Thank goodness UP had the foresight to preserve Big Boy!
Yea!
Thought of your song again while I was watching 4014 push that 10,000 foot freight train that stalled in Nebraska on June 29th. Big Boy is showing she's still got it and is still a force to reckoned with to this day with how much power she has 💪
That’s very cool they used her recently in actual UP operations. Thanks for sharing this. I hadn’t heard about this.
Yall are still not getting the fact that every engine has a personality, and this engine has so much ma,e traits
I recently bought my 4 year old daughter a book on trains. Big boy was featured in the book, she asked to find out more about this amazing locomotive, as were in the UK.
She found this video first, We both watched and listened to this song together, we both love it! She's in bed now, I think I'm on my 4th listen this evening.
So happy you and your daughter learned about Big Boy and that she found the video! Thank you so much for listening! We greatly appreciate the support! Roll On!

I grew up hearing the stories of the legendary UP superpower from my railroad grandfather. Even railroaders on other railroads in the midwest knew of the UP superpower fleet and greatly admired them. He lived to hear that UP reacquired and was restoring 4014. 4014 is far more then just a big machine. Its a symbol of the men and women who overcame incredible odds to develop our world. 4014 and others like her are the pinnacle of the toil and grit of those generations. Bless all who keep their memory and legacy going. #rollonbigboy

This makes me want to drive that perfect steam locomotive even more when I become a locomotive engineer

Love the song and the train. Love the old trains. Even The Big Boy 4014. I read up on the train and we have one of The Big Boy in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Someone saw Big Boy and said that the train is beautiful and big.
Thanks for watching and commenting! Yes, Big Boy is indeed “beautiful and big”. I got choked up when she roared by. The ground shook!
Edit: I just remembered the Americans have fast and beautiful locomotives as well like New York streamlined Hudsons, Daylight, 611, Sierra 3, UP 844, Challenger and Big Boy as well
Thank you so much for your kind comment and for adding the song to your playlist! Roll on!
