@Slate Dominique she is pursuing an international career!!!! She is currently in Germany playing for Dresdner together with Jenna Gray and some of the German WNT players Camila Weitzel, Lena Stigrot & legendary German libero Lenka Durr. I hope she gets signed to another team in Germany or maybe in Italy or Russia (countries in need of good liberos) because her playing time is divided due to the presence of Durr in Dresdner. But Paris 2024 is still 3 club seasons away so i’m hoping she gets signed to a better team in Europe. She was invited to train for Spring with the Senior’s NT but COVID happened, i’m sure after the club season, she will be lined up for VNL next year. We are ready for Hentzville

I know right she really is but when I learned that Lexi Rodriguez (Nebraska libero) was 1st team all American as a freshman and hentz wasn’t really shocked me. I didn’t see Rodriguez’s regular season but I’m a badger fan and saw the 2021 finals, I think she is good but not 1st team all American good. I am biased but I definitely think Lauren Barnes (Wisconsin libero) did better and if she played like that all season would have gotten 1st team all American with an insane amount of digs per set. I have no clue what Rodriguez’s future looks like but from what I saw which wasn’t a lot she doesn’t look like she will be even close to as good as Hentz was when she is supposed to be better. If she is really good and I just didn’t see then the pressure probably got to her which isn’t good for her future as a libero if she can’t do well under huge pressure which is exact what the finals are then she really needs to figure that out
@@lexiweyenberg3159, I’m a Huskers fan and watched every game this season. Lexi Rodriguez is a beast. She was named the defensive player of the year in the big 10 this season. Watching just one game won’t give you an accurate picture of any player. She deserves all the praise she’s getting. That said, Lauren Barnes is also an amazing libero. I’m shocked she wasn’t named a first team all American.
@@CTmealplanner6387 ok I completely agree that one game won’t let me see what she’s truly like but barnes started this season off slow so it took her a while to find her grove again so I see why she’s second team. But I just think hentz seems better as a freshman then Rodriguez and she wasn’t first team well Rodriguez was. But I’m happy with it that liberos are finally getting the recognition they deserve.

If she is not fielded in the USA National Team, something is wrong in that system. She is the standard for USA Volleyball Libero and defense.
It's official, she AND Plummer made the roster. Thank you Karch Kiraly now we get to see more of her... Although it's no longer HENTZ-VILLE: Population 1. Wong-Orantes retains the position of Libero on that team alongside Hentz. It'd be interesting to see how that plays out.

I really had to pause this video cause amazing play after amazing play is soooo overwhelming when after just watching one of these, makes me literally want to scream and shout and cry of happiness and joy and disbelief but belief in her abilities.
I hope hentz continues to play and shines on the national team and inspires a new generation of likeminded and skilled liberos...I used to watch majority of Stanford games and thought it was normal what she was doing but when I think of the top liberos I've watched on other teams there is nothing like hentz. You don't need a libero to do what she does to win but man she is so exciting and her efforts cannot be taken for granted because shes right in your face with her impact on a game.

I love how Morgan sacrificed her body on every difficult dig for her teammates. I miss her. Oglevee is good but lacks the layout plays of Hentz.

@@lucasdonat5415 really? They weren't part of the highlights so i assumed its not as good as her digs. If KRob stays in the next Olympic cycle (which she obviously will) she would have lots of help with reception! KRob was statistically the number 1 best receiver during the World Cup 2019. USA's backcourt defense would be one of the best in the world with Hentz, KRob and Plummer (a beach volleyball player, has better court awareness than usual players)
@@bigdp98 yeah ofc! i think this video was mainly focused on hentz’s amazing floor defense because it’s really fun to watch, as opposed to serve receive which is definitely less dynamic. even though there isn’t any serve receive footage in here, i have no doubt that hentz would contribute that part of her game to the national team if she were to be on an olympic roster in the future :•))
@@lucasdonat5415 she was invited to train this summer but COVID happened. She will be in the VNL 2020 lineup for sure. If she does well in the VNL, she can actually give Wong-Orantes a run for her money for the Tokyo Olympics spot. Courtney’s performance for Scandicci and being able to help and bring her tem (a team that is not usually in the finals) with her floor defense and attacks, makes me think she will be used as a defense specialist for Tokyo much like KRob back in Rio. But i think Wong-Orantes improved a lot and has paid her dues so Hentz looks clearer for 2024 than in 2020/21. Same with Plummer.
it’s alright definitely not better than her digging, her ball control is something she can and will work on during training for the Olympics!
She’s good but when you have big blocks taking space away it makes it a bit easier to play defense.
