Good morning, Tim, that is a cracking piece of kit. I will be investigating buying the larger of the two. My most recent experience with "old faithful" here, was down the road at the mailboxes. There had been a steel post in the ground behind the mailboxes for many years... I decided it had to go. I attempted to remove the offending post with tools to hand. My neighbour arrived to assist. But nothing would move this post. Thank the man upstairs for battery powered grinders. Cheers, another brilliant episode.
I've been using a hi-lift jack from my 4WD. attach a 20" length of chain to the lifting lug, Clevis hook at the end of the chain then choke it around the post. It doesn't get quiet as low as the PostJack and it does slip off sometimes... but it's just one less tool I need to cart around.
A tip I got from an old cocky is if you can't pull a dropper out to drive it a couple of inches further in then try again. Doesn't always work, but it's worth a try.
Yes. It’s a great tip. Unfortunately the ground here doesn’t play nicely!
@@FarmLearningTim I too got that same advice the other day from an ancient cow-cocky last week … nice old coot , but ugly as a hat full of arssholes thanks TIM . 😉
as opposed to "if you can't pull it out, drive it underground!" lol
Hey Tim,
A funny thing happened the other day. My wife called out to me to watch something on RUclips, Russel Coight "he's doing some fencing". When I got to the screen I dropped to the ground 🤣🤣🤣🤣 to find it was you, Tim! Funny stuff. I did tell her what you do is serious stuff, she burst out laughing!
Love your work! Keep doing it, very informative.
Hmmm....
Oh you had an Old Faithful too. Mine was nicknamed Excalibur because no man or device could pull the bastard out.
😀
Great device thank you
Why not make the foot bigger with a notch in the end so the foot cleans the post on the way out?
The company should supply extra jaws and bolt them onto the frame just in case you need them.
Another great demo Tim, the ol star dropper can be a bastard at times to pull out, but that tells you they are a bloody brilliant.
I just bought the Horsely puller plate you demonstrated and that works brilliantly, but this looks good if I don't have the tractor
Went to the web page but no prices, looks good though thanks
Was looking at kangaroo jack for this exact reason. Many thanks once again
It's a great device .
Very interesting 😎👍
Nice One
Hahaha me too can't find it on the website
I’ve updated the description with their email. They haven’t updated their website
either I'm as sharp as a bowling ball or ------ couldn't find on web site despite searching for fence, post jack and lift.
