- "Hunger" by Ren is a lyrical acrobat stunt executed with top tier charisma! It includes a multitude of references as Ren plays with words and constantly switches flows. This is the exact type of music I grew up listening to so I'm VERY glad Ren has songs like this in his arsenal.

Fave thing about this song is how he stitched ten or twelve different flows into a 2-1/2 minute song. He made a genuine Frankenstein monster, indeed!

And yes, he's also a beatboxer 😂 You've seen the tales then now you have to check the songs 😉 Genesis, Murderer, Hold On, Losing it and Life is funny if you want some more Hip Hop songs. But if you want to hear Ren singing, then check Ready for you (masterpiece, the background vocals are insane) or Back on 74/Message in a bottle Retake wich is a live performance or Fred Again Mashup, just mesmerizing... Totally different vibes but pure talent, his voice is amazing and wonderful. And then, if you want duets, check Chalk Outlines with Chinchilla, Ocean with Eden Nash or Jessica with Orlean. I'd say start with the original. I get a lot of people like his live stuff but most hip hop heads would prefer the original.
So much more! What you want, losing it, wicked ways, love music 1-4, murder also anything with the big push( band) is fun. Then there is his freckled angels album with a bunch of great stuff. Trick the fox even earlier not to mention all his collabs and busking.
4:49 - The Django and Vincent reference hits hard because they were both disadvantaged geniuses who to some extent either overcame their pain or transmuted it into their art.
Django was the greatest jazz guitarist of his age and was missing a few fingers on his fretting hand.

Ren ft. Bibi - Crutch: Heartbreaking, beautiful and deep song. Absolutely underrated in my opinion. Has a great no-budget video as well. Not much reactions to it as well.
'Crutch' dates back to a time when Ren thought he wouldn't live much longer. Bibi was his girlfriend at that time and started a GoFundMe to raise donations for his treatment/diagnosis. If I understood correctly, it was the basis for his Lyme disease diagnosis in Brussels.

I always recommend 'Sick Boi, part 2'. Mainly because it's a fantastic track, which closes the Sick Boi album but also because most reactors overlook it because it doesn't have a video. They are REALLY missing out! Lyrics? Just incredible! Delivery and flows are out of this world and... that BEAT! :)
I'd recommend Sick Boi first, if you haven't done it already. Another great track but, let's face it, all Ren's songs and performances are great! :) So yep, definitely react to 'Sick Boi, part 2'! I think you'll love it! :)
Btw, you said you hadn't realised Ren's 'pen game' was this good. You have NO idea! lol. :) Ren's songwriting is world-class! Especially his lyricism. He's a poet really and a bloody great poet at that. I genuinely believe that absolutely no one can match Ren lyrically. Combine it with his storytelling and he's untouchable! Having Andrew Lloyd Weber describe him as the greatest storyteller alive today gives a hint of his talent! If you get a chance, check out what Sinead O'Connor tweeted about Ren, shortly before she died. 2 tweets, next to each other, one message... basically saying there's before Ren and after Ren. Definitely check it out. It's easy to google and it will give a clue as to what major artists around the World think of Ren. Unfortunately, the industry itself does it's best to stifle him, not liking the fact that he's fully independent.
Did you listen to Ren's "Back on 74, Message in a Bottle Retake"? It's absolutely fantastic and so different. You should not miss out on that!

Use the lyrics he posts in the top comment or description, or Genius like you did this time. Renegades are very good about keeping Genius updated correctly.

You're exactly right, he was flexin'. This was a time when he was starting to blow up a little in the U.K. a little bit before Hi Ren, and people had heard him rap in other tracks, but not like this, and some people were saying stuff like..."yeah, but can he rap rap". I don't know for sure, but I think he made this as a response to those social media questions flying around. I call it his "rap resume'".....LOL. Great reaction!

Then there's the two groups he was in: Trick the Fox and The Big Push. Then the rest of his own songs and all the collabs! You still have a looooong way to go my friend 😊
not sure if you are aware of Prof but he is releasing a collab with Ren on July 12. he just announced it this past Friday on his lunch live.

The thing about Ren is everyone has a favourite song or style. "Why doesn't he do this every song?" becomes the next logical statement. But what you don't realize is by the end of your thought process he has moved on to conquer the next genre he creates.

Rapping Pieces - Hold on is 8 years old now and shows how good he was even back then when he was very sick. Ready for You is what he feels is a Key earlier piece when he is coming out of it. Genesis (of course), Illest of our time, ... One really fun rap in a car is Power... everyone loves that. Jesus there is so many - His Sick Boi album is all rapping ... and of course His 2 Chinchilla Duets while not rapping and brilliant. Of all of them Power, Genesis and Hold on are mine but everyone is different, as is every song.
I like that you pointed out the fact that that's all the way he does the storytelling but if you look back in the past his songs have a beginning a middle and an end like a real story no matter what style you can do a beginning a middle and an end in any song telling a true story that's no longer storytelling that's folk music this is my first time listening to you but I'm going to subscribe just as long as you keep living the the Ren life and the song troubles has two videos in the first video was done in the snowy area of Canada better known as Calgary😊😅

Fisher is an Australian techno producer. Losing it is a dance track by Fisher that has no lyrics, except for the one line, losing it. Ren did a retake and wrote rap lyrics for it. HE IS RAPPING OVER AN EDM TRACK 🤯🤯🤯
It's a great track and highly impressive from a rap point of view but while it IS brilliant, I'd say that it's far from being his best track. Even if you only really like rap and hip-hop, he has far better tracks to offer. This was just Ren having fun and flexing a little! :)
