When I first saw the commercials for both Pepper and Nao, I was like, "Oh my gosh! I just have to get one of these!" I really wanted one as a Christmas present last year, but my mom said that they were way too expensive to get! I think that Nao and Pepper are both really adorable and cute, and I just love the way that you can have conversations with the both of them!
There are 100 of these robots that are now superfans of the Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks. Guinness World Records recently certified them as the "largest robot cheerleading squad" in the world.
When I see this robots I'll always think that they're just acting cool at first but then when they are fully developed will take over the world. Probably an effect becuz of movies

July 23 2021 Pepper has been suspended in production meaning that they stopped making it. This is a result of a stockpile overage. That means nobody bought it.
The only thing I'm looking forward to when it comes to robots: the day when someone finally seriously tells a robot 'this statement is false'. Though it'll only be funny if the robot can actually process that and crash.
All jokes aside we need robots for older lonely adults who have lost their partners and live alone and do not have someone to talk to and possibly sit at the dinner table and have very meaningful conversations. Possibly even the voice of their deceased love ones. Have them talk about news, Heath, taking meds, walking, watching healthy. Play cards or chess or just sit and if watching a movie to laugh or talk if need be. Suggest recipes show the recipes bring a glass of water talk about restaurants to go any news it would be fun or interesting for the person to know talk about the weather. What about traveling things you can do planting talking about tomorrow’s plan for lunch or breakfast laughing telling jokes making jokes good humor affirmations if they look nice to say something that they look nice if they don’t have lipstick on to go put a lipstick on if they’re not dressed, why you’re not dressed come on, let’s go and get some fresh air let’s sit outside, put them outside talk about how pretty the weather is and what the temperature stuff like that that could really enhance older people who have lost their loved ones I know I would buy this robot in a heartbeat.
Are the answers pre programmed? Or is it really that advanced? Sorry, i really am confused and at the same time, fascinated by bots that could respond similar to a human. Thanks in advance for the answer
