In this series, we're diving into a special project that's close to my heart: building a Honda Z50 motorcycle for my granddaughter. This isn't just any bike-it's going to be a vibrant pink machine, combining the classic charm of the Z50 with a fresh, fun twist.
We'll be walking through every step of the process, from sourcing the parts and tackling the initial teardown to the detailed paint job and final assembly. Each episode will cover different aspects of the build, including addressing mechanical challenges, customizing features to make it uniquely hers, and ensuring the safety and reliability of the bike for her first rides.
This project is less about getting her to fall in love with motorcycles and more about creating cherished memories and bonding moments. It's about showing her the joy of working with her hands, the satisfaction of bringing something old back to life, and most importantly, falling in love with her grandfather.

Yup, the basket is the best part. They’re like cup holders on the big touring bikes, but more useful and made for small bikes. In fact, could put two Big Gulps in that basket!
