Do you have any thoughts on how good the Xiaomi 15 Ultra might be? Leaks claim that it might have the usual 1" main + 1/2.5" UWA + 3x (guessing 1/2.5" again) floating tele + 4x 200mp HP9 1/1.4" sensor (same sensor as the one on the X100U but with 100mm). The Find X8U leaks claim that it may have a 3x LYT701 1/1.56" + 6x LYT600 1/1.95". For X200Ultra/Pro, leaks say it might have mostly similar camera specs as X100U. So all 3 look neck to neck in cameras. I'd really like to have a really powerful tele that can even do between 10x and 30x well. I also really like to capture moody shoots (not over-brightened etc.) Wondering which one would be the best overall in the first half of 2025. If the stock cam gave options to adjust exposure compensation, denoise, and sharpening (all in non-pro mode as global settings memorized), that would be a real game changer. I much prefer slight grain and more details, than the denoised waxy look that seems to be the most common with all stock cams.
honestly that's so hard to say!!! everytime with these leaks it's all camera hardware, but we will also get different CPU's which creates different effects and styles. So it's a bit of a wait and see honestly. And I love that they do have that option of contrast, sharpening, brightness and saturation! Hope indeed that stays the same with the next series! Which will be anounced in october i think.
The thing about leaks is that they aren't confirmed yet. Hardware capabilities is one thing, it must also work hand in hand with the software Case in point being the Xiaomi 14U. Since you like darker more moody pictures that sounds like Xiaomi' field but having moved on to Oppo ( after an untimely death of the Xiaomi) and it's Master (a.k.a pro mode) I'm happy. Not sure what phone is going to remember your settings outside of pro mode but I believe all the camera flagships will remember them in pro mode. Not sure if the bug was fixed on the Xiaomi as at a point it would forget everything
For me, Sony's Xperia 1 series has always been my favourite. It's the one that produce the most realistic photo and currently the only one with real variable zoom.
Sure. But the lack of support is frustrating. No lossless crop on 1 V, no full res mode, no macro on UW. As soon as 1 VII rolls out you will be forgotten as well.
@@ThroughJermainesLensSure . But better something than nothing. 1VI has also got close distance shooting on UW. 1V has the same UW and main lens but we got zero updates. That's something to consider when thinking about getting an Xperia.

And for the 13 pro, we are getting closer to a new release possibly and then maybe the 13 pro will be more in the price range?
My wife owns a Pixel 8 Pro. No issues so far. I was wondering why it wasn't mentioned at all in this comparison. It's camera includes all that Google AI stuff & should be really strong over all, in some comparisons it's even one of the best available right now. The software upgrade guarantee for 7 years is nice, too. And the original Android doesn't come with so much bloatware. Every Xiaomi I owned so far was full of bloatware. Always a mess to get rid of it, even changing the system apps is necessary, because of advertising all the way.
If you've updated recently, try backing up and reseting the phone. Also if you plan on going back to Xiaomi avoid the 11 series unless you want premature motherboard deaths or slightly after the warranty ends
@@ThroughJermainesLens not to mention the sensor doesnt even work at all. out of 10 times it fails 11 times... that's just how bad this phone is.. and switching apps or reversing/back button also very very slow and fails to do so many times.. literally what in the f is this. and after this, I tried other pixel phones and they're all the same.. like how is this possible? My Redmi Note 4 from 2017 outclasses this pixel 8 and 7 pro and 8 pro I tested when switching apps and googling... Sorry for the rant but I don't recommend the phone, even if the software is decent but the hardware isn't.
The ultrawide on the Xiaomi 13 pro isnt great....sadly. Worse then the Xiaomi 11 ultra. Thats why I kept the 11 ultra. But the Xiaomi 13 pro is way better in skin tones.
Honestly, to me none of them is worth it for the camera alone. I've resigned myself to simply stop taking photos with smartphones. Because there simply isn't a phone that is good as a smartphone AND as a camera. When they're good as a camera - like Xiaomi and Oppo - they are absolute dogsh*t as smartphones (specially Xiaomi with its garbage UI cloned from Apple). And when they have good software - Samsung - their cameras are trash (and the hardware has also had much better days too.) Not to mention ALL of them are ridiculously oversized and/or without basic features. So I stopped caring. If I'm going to be forced to carry around a giant piece of hardware, I might as well make it the DSLR instead of a tablet pretending to be a phone.
@@___David__ hahahahaha fair enough, i am not very shocked^^ but i can understand your pain! It sucks they don't offer something for someone like you! There is a x200 rumored that will be small, but unsure

Just yesterday compared main and tele of the S24U and my Xperia 1 V. Basic mode only. When you check photos in gallery and zoom in to the max, S24U is rubbish. I have several Samsung phones in the family and they all follow the same philosophy. They are good for productivity but not for photography.
Its clearly vivo x100 ultra. Its nit even worth to discuss. There is the vivo. Then long time comes nothing. And then all th other phones come. X100u is by far the king of the hill...period
My global Xiaomi 14 Ultra is filled with IA now. Became quite a useless camera phone. Just starts looking like my Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra. Last updates won't allow to choose and install other camera versions. Your only choice is to buy the new phone. THEY DID IT AGAIN 🤮🤮🤮
From the weeks i bought it for someone and used during days and nights to now with last updates, things have got seriously bad. The long zoom algorithms are clearly from Samsung. The are soooo bad. It ends up almost like the S24 Ultra and it even happens with S24 Ultra last update that sometimes the pictures turn out better than the Xiaomi. Such a shame

Where is oppo find x7 ultra 🔥🥵
He hasn't gotten one yet
hope it comes soon!
Honor 200 pro any day
First ! Great Video So Far Man !
Thank you!!
And when they have good software - Samsung - their cameras are trash (and the hardware has also had much better days too.)
Not to mention ALL of them are ridiculously oversized and/or without basic features.
There is a x200 rumored that will be small, but unsure
hater
Useless people😂😂
he isn't a hater, he has preferences ;)
@@ThroughJermainesLensyes there will be a vivo x200 mini 6'4 or smaller with a 5600mAh battery and 2k display
midrange phones video capabilities are poor. I think if some one wanna get a phone with good camera for a midrange price point, buying a 2, 3 old flagship device in that price might be a good choice.
I guess Samsung didn't pay you well.
@@دکلمهعاشقانهها whuahahaha i mean it's simply not good enough that camera
Just yesterday compared main and tele of the S24U and my Xperia 1 V. Basic mode only. When you check photos in gallery and zoom in to the max, S24U is rubbish. I have several Samsung phones in the family and they all follow the same philosophy. They are good for productivity but not for photography.
@@ThroughJermainesLens No one can believe that Xperia is better than Samsung, especially in terms of video recording and zoom.
Who wants to buy a Samsung if you are modern. Nowone..!!!
Sony Xperia 1vi is better
Its clearly vivo x100 ultra. Its nit even worth to discuss. There is the vivo. Then long time comes nothing. And then all th other phones come. X100u is by far the king of the hill...period
this guy flexing his photography skills 😂 every photo looks good no matter which phone being used
hahahahahahaha sorry man :P
My global Xiaomi 14 Ultra is filled with IA now. Became quite a useless camera phone. Just starts looking like my Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra.
Last updates won't allow to choose and install other camera versions.
Your only choice is to buy the new phone.
THEY DID IT AGAIN 🤮🤮🤮
what is IA?
@@ThroughJermainesLens AI. Sorry my french keyboard corrected it
From the weeks i bought it for someone and used during days and nights to now with last updates, things have got seriously bad. The long zoom algorithms are clearly from Samsung. The are soooo bad. It ends up almost like the S24 Ultra and it even happens with S24 Ultra last update that sometimes the pictures turn out better than the Xiaomi. Such a shame
