To everybody asking why the railroad crossing activates itself several minutes before the train passes, it is a mandatory regulation of "Trenitalia" (the company directing and supervising trains and railroads). There is a complicated calculation in relation to speed of the train, proximity of stations, proximity of crossroads, if the train is a cargo or a passengers one and so on. Probably, in this case, the distance between the station and the crossing is so narrow that the arrival of the train in the station triggers the crossing but you have to wait for the train to download/upload passengers and then restart. Hence the long wait.
So peaceful and serene. The scenery like a Bob Ross painting. Even the train was peaceful, as it 'whisp' on by. Thank you for putting yourself out there, to bring us the beauty of Mother Earth & the fascination of many different trains. 🚂💕
Me tell same thing and want to live there a house

Let’s put a happy little crossing here
@@York22 Perfect. ☺
A railroad crossing with a windmill? Or maybe a fidget spinner? Now that's cool!
That a motor for a barrie
At first I was taken aback by the long wait which would never work in the impatient US . However, the charm of the vintage mechanism and peaceful countryside have won me over. I subscribed, forwarded, and replayed this clip often. I am convinced Hobbits built this crossing to give us a zen moment.
it's the spinner slowly running out of enthusiasm that makes me laugh.
I'm wondering what the spinner is for.

Well, just great! Now somebody's going to have to go out there and wind that thing up again.
There truly are some unique railroad crossings out there.

You're trying to get to a friend's wedding when you get stopped by an Italian railroad crossing. By the time the train passes, the happy couple are celebrating their silver anniversary.
Jeeeeeeeeeeez! Come on Train!

I'm surprised we didn't have to wait another 7 minutes for the crossings to go back up.....

Good thing it wasn't lunch time on a Friday. And that wasn't much of a train either
Imagine how creepy this would be at night.
Facts shit looks creepy in the day I can imagine at night
Now this crossing have Tm2000. Image you across the forest in the night when unexpectedly start the e-bell :)
Yeah - Oo
Submitted for the approval of the Midnight Society I call this story the Tale of the Haunted Crossing.
Adoro questa cosa del triangolo!
:D
The barriers to stop traffic must be lowered at least 30 seconds before the train passes, not 7 minutes is a lot
In italy is normallity ;)
I would think a lead time this long would encourage people to go around the crossing arms. Not good.

I like how the spinner slowly runs out of enthusiasm.
I'm pretty sure a turtle could have crossed the tracks before that train showed up.
Agree, Not only once but 100 f*cking Times
A snail could have.

I still cannot believe how far in advance of the oncoming train that the gates go down. In the United States, most people would conclude that this was a malfunction and then go around the gates. There is typically about a 30 second window between the gates going down and the train arriving at the crossing.
Its a long wait even by the standards of where i live (where i live a lot of crossings are interlocked with the signals)
@@pineappleroad So then why are the gates programmed to come down so early?
@@BrylcreemBill I’m not really sure why it is like that in Italy
The wait time at Italian crossings seems to vary from 3 minutes to over 10 minutes from what i have seen
most crossings where i live have a wait time of around 3 minutes, however, half barrier crossings where i live have wait times as short as 27 seconds (it won’t be any less than 27 seconds, as 27 seconds is the legally required minimum for half barrier crossings where i live)

the video was so fast that I had to slow down to watch the train go by

Bel video. Perché si chiude 7 minuti prima del passaggio del treno ? / Good video. Why does the level crossing close 7 minutes before the trains comes ?
I think you could also dance the Sirtaki on the crossing and get away in time 😜

7 minutes of wait? Yikes
@Alexis Godin 🤨 No.
In italy it's work like this. And it's beautiful. I'm italian and i love our railways

Thats way to long for a crossing gate to be down for. I wonder why its set up like this?
that is cool to see

Cool crossing signal and barrier. Not cool that it activates 7 minutes before the train arrives. Even the red warning light gets tired of waiting for the the train to pass and is almost dark by the time the train zooms by it...lol.
This is fantastic! I've never seen anything like this before!
why did the gate go down so early? it took 7 whole minutes just for the train to come..

World's slowest train, it should arrive any day now.
Gates must be on a timer. That train was still 20 miles away.

The train won't come for a while……
I like the crossings layout it looks cool thought the signals go down way too early.

Even the spinner got tired of waiting for the train!
Once Stopped at a Railway Crossing similar to this at 2 am.
At 802 Seconds after the Barrier came down I was issued a Traffic Infringement Notice for Executing a U-Turn too close to the Barrier.
No Traffic and No Train either apparently, but I got Fined for Leaving.
Fought the Fine and Won.
Used their own 802 Seconds against them.

Dam I like this video
Nou nou die overweg gaat ook veel te vroeg dicht , nog erger als in Duitsland , na ongeveer 7 minuten komt er pas een trein !
That took till the end of this video until the train came
Indeed?!?
7 минут ждать трёхвагонный дизель-поезд это чересчур, у нас 10 минут ждут пока проедет скоростной стриж (160km/h) и одну минуту ждать товарный или две электричку...
Fascinating and quaint, but could someone please tell me the purpose of the spinner?
A moving object attracts Attention ...
I’m sure a dog could take a nap on the tracks and wake up before the train comes
I want to go there .. pls give full address including nearest airport and driving direction pls pls
Hi, this crossing is close to Pederobba (Italy). I don't know the nearest airport
Venezia or Treviso airport.
Drive direction north, in the country countryside's.
Why so long to wait with the barriers down? Lovely setting though.
Almost everyone comments about that spinner in the videos containing this type of railroad crossing
Warcrazyness because you usually do not expect to find a spiny thing at a railroad crossing
samanli2014 Reminds me of a rotoray on American fire trucks.
7 minuten wachten voor 1 trein pfwoe
Jnubi
Did the train have to stop and change a flat tire?
2 years ago exactly.
Studies have shown that if the gate is down for too long before the train arrives, people will actually start to go around the barricade. These Gates need to have their timing fixed.
A warning of 30 to 60 seconds is considered optimum. And this is what you will find in the US here.
you probably won't like the crossings in the UK then
(you often have to wait for quite a few minutes at crossings in the UK, the exception being half barrier crossings (where the barrier only blocks one half of the road, for half barrier crossings in the UK, by law there must be at least 27 seconds between the crossing activating and the train arriving at the crossing))
Do I see the luminosity drop on the light over the length of the video? Was it on batteries only?
No, it is just my camera not filming the LED lights properly. The light is working fine.
I am not sure if we understand each other well. My camera does also have problems with LEDs but in such a way that they seem to flash at about 10times a second. But here I scrolled to 01:00 and then to 7:00 and the luminosity was much different. Much like when the voltage drops and the bulb goes dimmer and dimmer.
I see what you mean, but I'd still say that it is the camera. Sometimes the lights are fading quickly, and sometimes very slowly. In this case very slowly. Maybe this video is a good example. ruclips.net/video/A04_l1AoOIw/видео.html here you can see the light fading and becoming brighter again
WTF WAS THAT??? Really??? I could’ve crawled on my hands and feet and made it passed all that time.
In the U.S. people would be very mad if they had to wait this long for the train to come after the crossing is activated.
Someone in the U. S. would have driven through the gates long before the nearly 6.5 minutes from the time the gates fully came down until the train came. Under U. S. rules the gates have to be down between 14 and 20 SECONDS before a train fouls a crossing, and the engineer has to sound the horn for the crossing the same length of time before fouling the crossing - holding the last tone across the crossing. Americans have no patience, but over 6 minutes of waiting for a train is a bit excessive. Also, in the U. S. a crossing on a small road like this would most likely only get crossbucks for signage, not even flashing lights, let alone gates.
20 seconds is the minimum time.
Six minutes is not rare in Europe. This is a little used (maybe even private) level crossing, so it isn't going to have the latest and greatest. The time delay is likely from a passenger station stop.
Hi Justus, this video appears everywhere when I look for fs64 here :)
If you find FS 64 crossing images or videos from 2018 or 2019, please let me know :-)

Maybe it was a ghost train. Wait nope it wasn't it was a regular train.
Looks like you could get a Brigade through there before a train would come.
why so long?
I dont know if I should watch for a plane or a train..
Wah bagus
Why don't people just build the road higher or lower than the railtrack so there's no crossing and no people waiting to cross the track
踏切が閉じてから列車が来るまで七分も待つのですか。長いですね。
Was there eventually a train? I bailed at 6 minutes

this is fully automatic?,or controlling by a man to closed the gate?
I believe this one is fully automatic
it is monitored and automatic with " electromechanical" servo device, in case of failure it turns permanently in "close"position
