Well I said the Cavies Drumline was #1 before San Antonio so they just proved it from then on through Atlanta through Allentown and all three nights from Prelims to Semi-Finals to Finals. As Mike Fantini of Aged out Podcast says: CLEAN WINS EVERYTIME!!! Congrats to the Cavies!
I love that you chose Gloria for this 75th anniversary show. 1989 was the first PBS broadcast I watched. I still love the 1989 Cavaliers show probably more than any other you've ever done. And, 2013's drumline lived in my son's head rent-free for years--I seem to see glimpses of 2013 in this as well.
The musical selections are so nostalgic but with a fresh approach. No doubt the show is well coordinated musically and visually front to back. The the percussion section is pure achievement. High levels of it. However, I don't believe the demand is on par with that of some of the other groups they've been besting in percussion - so if those group up their consistency and achievement/performance, it wIll be exciting to see what happens this week. No matter what, though, congrats Cavies!

Green Machine is awesome!
In the words of a percussion judge, at the 4:12 mark, “tympani player….riding the wave, that was hot!!!” 😊
This show brought me back! Thank you!!!!!!
