This is a pretty dense book so I'm going to try and upload a chapter a day.
It's going to be a long project for me, bear with me!

It is recommended that you listen to one small section at a time rather than binge on it.
It was written in 1970 remember when people had a longer attention span and the pace of life, whilst already speeding up, was slower than now.
Listen to a bit, make notes even.
Then just sit and reflect on what he said, what you've heard, before rushing headlong into the next part.
There's a lot of stuff to digest here, this is not a fast food read.
Let each section percolate in your brain a while before moving on to the next.
Take a single bite each day. 😎
Please like and share it, it's a thought provoking book, he predicted the pace of change and the difficulties that we have in coping with it all.
And it's interesting to see what he got right and wrong 😎

Same here, I've had it for years and always meant to read it but never managed to get around to it!
I looked for an audiobook version on here but there wasn't one so I thought, well there needs to be! Let's read it and upload it as I go along and then it will always be up there for others to find.

Welcome to my read along! 😎
I'm uploading bit by bit as i go along, adding each section to the playlist so it should make it easy to listen along to.
It's very low tech I'm afraid, I'm just using a phone.
I've found that the sound quality is better with headphones, for me at least. It depends what you're playing it on I guess!
I hope you enjoy this very thought provoking book.
Please feel free to add comments along the way, and share with people you think might enjoy it.
It's great to discuss books with others isn't it 📙📚

    Hi Ellie
This sounds like a very insightful book, one I need to "listen" to.
I'll be listening to your readings, thanks
Hope Isaac does too... you have a soothing voice! :)

      Aw thanks!
I've had this book for years, sat on the shelf gathering dust.... I thought it was about time I picked it up and as i was reading I thought, "this is so prescient, I really need to share this so that other people can read it too"
There's an awful lot to get through and it's a long term project for me so please bear with me. I'll do my best to upload at least a little chunk every day ☺️

@@ellie698 it's a great idea, a really good project. Maybe I'll wait for few more 9 mnute episodes and then I'll binge listen.
I think it's fascinating topic, absolutely relevant today.

@@ellie698 i started reading Demian by Hermann Hesse, I recorded some long tracts of that...It was tough! Mainly, it's fiction, so the problem of voice/character, and the edition has tiny print . It was tiresome!
If i tried it again, probably I would record it in quite short blocks.
Depending on the storage you have, you can record quite a few before uploading, as well.

I have virtually no storage lol, so for that reason, the upload speed (sl-o-o-o-o-w.... 😴) my other time commitments and several other reasons, the tiny chunk at a time is the only realistic way for me of getting this done.
If there was already an audio version of this on here I wouldn't be doing it, no way (!), but since there wasn't, I thought I'd better remedy the situation 🤓

The more I'm reading of this book the more I'm enjoying just "taking little bites" at it.
I know what you mean about wanting to binge on things, but i honestly think this book is so rich in ideas and so thought provoking it lends itself to digesting it in little bit sized chunks and reflecting on them before moving on the next section.
Looking forward to the upcoming chapter contents in really looking forward to getting to them. But in their own good time (as tempting as it is to skip ahead 😆)
