In Part 1 of this Freewheeling Interview Recorded on the 24th of June 2010, Shammi Kapoor shares his Incredible Journey from Early Talkies to the place where the seeds of his own Original Style were sown.

I do not have words to express the feeling of happiness and gratitude I experienced watching this part of the series, a feeling towards Shammi jee al well as towards the producers of this series. Most of the legends of Hindi Cinema already vanished from this world, one feels it was so important for filmmakers to go approach them and record their life stories for the generations to come. Sadly, no one did it and a great treasure of it is lost forever. Music and Hindi/Urdu lyrics are gone from the popular Music. May be a series like this will help creating awareness about it in the new generation. Eagerly looking forward to the next parts.

Prithvi Raj Kapoor came from Peshawar not Lyalpur
Prithvi raj Kapoor wasn't Pathan. He was a Punjabi hindu Kshatriya. Everybody from Peshawar isn't a Pathan. Peshawar was an integral part of India. It became a part of Afghanistan during alexander's attack on India. But after 1,000 years a sikh general Sardar Hari singh nalwa invaded Afghanistan and Peshawar came back to Indian territory once again.
But they claimed that they have pathan ancestry and they were khatris not kshatriya.
