It depends on the day, taking weather into consideration as well, like wind, temperature etc. If conditions are perfect than you get a nice smooth landing, but some pilots do some not to hard landings just to help decel the plane.

All that movement is from the pilot massively over controlling the aircraft. There was a bit of a wobble at the beginning but the pilot hugely over reacted and caused the whole event.

It was not the wind! It was the LACK OF FLARE. Notice the vertical pitch is the same throughout the entire approach and touchdown. Do not confuse the wing rocking (horizontal component lift) with the hard touchdown (vertical component lift). Dont debate me.

That's hardly losing control. The pilots were brave and composed and experienced enough for the adverse conditions. I boarded a plane from a different airline headquartered in Italy that when it braked, it felt like one side was braking harder than the other and was drifting sideways when slowing to a stop. All very similar to the A380 footage of it swerving all over the runway on landing, caused by massive over controlling from the pilot.
Looks like a stable approach until the wings start rocking just before touchdown. Maybe some clear air turbulence like someone else mentioned followed by some aggressive corrections by the crew.

The last time I flew Ethiopian Airlines, I didn't even know that we landed. Smooth as hell. They are known for their pilot's skills. Shit happens men!

Jeeeez... some crazy over-correcting going on there. Shoulda pulled up and gone around. Those pilots were incredibly lucky to avoid wrecking the plane. Like watching a trailer swaying behind a truck on the highway, and you know how that ends up.

@@miniena7774 @ Yormsane is correct. This is pilot induced oscillation and who’s massive overcorrection by the pilot. The PIO wasn’t fixed, it came to a stop by the gear smashing into the runway. All very similar to the A380 footage of it swerving all over the runway on landing, caused by massive over controlling from the pilot.
Looks like a stable approach until the wings start rocking just before touchdown. Maybe some clear air turbulence like someone else mentioned followed by some aggressive corrections by the crew.
