It was good to see that you could bring MBTS into this job, making it into a more everyday event rather than a sombre reflection on what might have been. In my own life, I am finding that grief is a lifelong journey that does get easier with time.

I watched your video about your dad. I had a similar experience with my dad and watching your video I cried. I made a few videos for RUclips 4 years ago and you inspired me to start my RUclips channel again. I am building a 40x60 pole barn and started documenting the build pad from stripping the top soil and filling the building site with sand. I only have 14 subscribers but I haven’t posted for years now. Thanks Mike for sharing your story and inspiring me to start RUclips again. I want to document what I am doing so future generations can enjoy what I am doing now. Peace

Dad's road is coming right along! The 3 pipes will really help diverting all that ground water. Oh that spooky cave! I can only imagine Capt. crawling around in there! Now I'm with Aaron on this: NOOO big equipent! It was originally intended for mom and family to drive in across those low lands, not a construction road. Just too dicey to use on a regular basis. Think of your kids buzzing up and down on it, slipping and sliding! Just finish it off nicely and dad will be really proud that the task is complete. The view is amazing, dad's road finished, let's let it go at that. Great job! We are all proud of you Mike! Hugs!

Mike , was good to see you able to address the drainage issues with the Memorial Road, and able to get this done, with Aaron's help. Personally thought the pipes you installed were great think, the second and thrid ones could of been a bit longer. But hey, what does a 67 year old disabled senior know about pipes ?? The last part of the road, further down where you dig out that ditch, is sweet, and will drain a lot of water and keep it from ruining the road. Looks good Mike. Great Job to both of you.

After a very long and busy day, I’m just trying to catch a few videos from my favorite Derby, Indiana youtubers (DP, MBTS, NYA Millennial, & Captain Kleeman) before I call it a night. Jerry had his hand in this road at some point. Now MBTS is helping DP get things done. It took me awhile to get through this video. Just couldn’t stop crying, thinking about DP’s dad and my dad.
I had a rough day today. I got a message on Facebook from a gentleman who served with my dad in the Air Force. I don't remember the man, but he remembered me. He was a civil engineer like my dad, and they worked together on many jobs. He retired about six years after my dad retired and has been in civil service since then. He's currently doing a contract job at Tinker AFB which is 40 miles west of me. He decided to stop by and visit my mom and me. He was happy to know that I served in the Air Force as my dad did. My mom remembered him, and she was so emotional. My mom already knew, but he told me that he had lost his wife and kids in an auto accident back when he worked with my dad, and he was going down a dark hole. My dad was in the Honor Guard at that time, and he stepped up to help the man out. After therapy, the man joined the Honor Guard and worked alongside my dad for a few years. He said that my dad saved his life and helped him to get back to living life. He eventually remarried and had two more children, and they are still married to this day. Both his children are married and have children of their own. We did some face time with them since they weren’t here with him. His wife remembers my mom and they were both emotional talking to each other. It was nice to meet his family knowing the history with my dad. Afterwards, he went out to my dad's grave site with my mom and me. He was very emotional as he paid his respects. It's amazing how random things like that happen. It really yanks at your emotions, feeling sad, happy, and proud all at once.
