Impressed with Roddam Narasimha, hope many more Indian Engineers are like him who are so much aware of Indian history and culture, as he said we have been robbed of our heritage and knowledge by the colonial education pushed down our throats along with the false and incorrect history. How I wish I read about these great Indian scholars when I was in college not 20 years later in another country trying to explore your roots.

I am a south Indian and I believe Valmiki Ramayana is the supreme Ramayana. there is no doubt about it. The original is original. Nothing can replace it. Rest of them are their interpretations but original is the supreme. We should all be clear about it

This "co-relate" thing Rajivji is talking about (19:10) is twisted as "cause and effect" by neuro-scientists (most of them) who still delve in newtonian classical physics. Neuroscientists still think that brain produces consciousness which is actually the other way round.Their reluctance to accept consciousness field is stupidity. Neuroscientists/biologists/medical doctors still do not know the who the real observer is (atman).
When we ask this simple question to a western neuro-scientist, how when colorless photons enter 4mm sized pupil of our eyes, a colorful three dimensional reality or world is visible, he would point to his eyes, lens, retina, rods, cones, brain, chemicals blah blah blah. So called modern neuro-scientists,biologists and medical doctors simply do NOT know that atman is the observer, the listener, the speaker and the thinker. Krishna in Bhagavad gita said it clearly
    pitaham asya jagato
    mata dhata pitamahah
    vedyam pavitram omkara
    rk sama yajur eva ca
I am the father of this universe, the mother, the support, and the grandfather. I am the object of knowledge, the purifier and the syllable om. I am also the Ṛig, the Sāma, and the Yajur [Vedas].
Brain is just a projector. Thoughts, dreams, memories and perceptions are just slides. Individual differences in perceptions, thoughts, dreams, memories are due to KARMA. Perceptual reality is different between different species because the projector (brain) is different even though the origin of thoughts, perceptions, dreams and memories is from the same (consciousness field)
Brain wave frequencies (can be altered by our thoughts) can be measured based on different levels of consciousness
    1. First two states are sleeping, dreaming
    2. Third state of consciousness - waking (Beta waves- 12 to 30 Hz)
    3. Fourth state of consciousness (Transcendental consciousness - Alpha brain wave) - 7 to 12 Hz- When we listen to Mahamrityunjay moksha mantra 108 times, we enter the Alpha brain wave state. It is in this level that we can begin to glimpse our true self or atman
    4. Fifth state of consciousness (cosmic consciousness) - Theta wave- 3 to 7 Hz (Mantra OM's frequency is 7.83 HZ)
    5. Sixth state of consciousness (divine consciousness)- Delta wave - 1 to 3 Hz
    6. Seventh state of consciousness (Unity consciousness)- or ‘enlightenment’, where the observed and the observer become one and the world becomes an extension of our whole being. In this state we transcend life and death.
Gamma wave (40 Hz) - When the monks meditated on compassion, the scans showed that their brains generated the most intense gamma waves ever seen in a normal brain. Gamma waves are associated with keeping the brain functioning as a whole and with higher cognitive processes.
The monks displayed the most intense area of activity in the left prefrontal cortex, an area associated with happiness and positive thoughts. This study was remarkable because it was the first time that anyone had been able to conclusively show that mental activity alone can alter the brain. We now have evidence that a mere intention or desire (in this case, the desire to be compassionate) can train the brain to adapt.

Distortions during colonial times cannot be passed off as diverse views. This is a serious problem. Some of the questions are answered like this we are polytheists??, heterogenous society, we have different versions Ramayana, blah blah.
Valmiki Ramayana is the original version. Rest are distorted bullshit

Roddam Narasimha is worth listening to while other two seem to be confused. Roddam Narasimha, very good scientist that he is, probably kept out diplomatically.

  • @indianmilitary
    @indianmilitary 9 лет назад +13

Roddam Narasimha must know that both Euclid (Geometry) and Claudius Ptolemy (Astronomy) were concocted figures. According to western version of history of science, science originated among the Greeks, and then developed in post-renaissance Europe. This story was fabricated in three phases.
First, during the Crusades, scientific knowledge from across the world, in captured Arabic books, was given a theologically-correct origin by claiming it was all transmitted from the Greeks. The key cases of Euclid (geometry) and Claudius Ptolemy (astronomy)-both concocted figures-are used to illustrate this process.
Second, during the Inquisition, world scientific knowledge was again assigned a theologically-correct origin by claiming it was not transmitted from others, but was “independently rediscovered” by Europeans. The cases of Copernicus and Newton (calculus) illustrate this process of “revolution by rediscovery”.
Third, the appropriated knowledge was reinterpreted and aligned to post-Crusade theology. Colonial and racist historians exploited this, arguing that the (theologically) “correct” version of scientific knowledge (geometry, calculus, etc.) existed only in Europe.
These processes of appropriation continue to this day.
Source: Is science western in origin? by CK Raju
Regarding so called "Charvaka" - a fake "hedonist" or "material" philosophy- It was an invention of East India company by subverting our ancient literature. The following information on fake "Charvaka" was taken from Capt Ajit Vadakayil blog
Rothschild (ex owners of east india company) tried his best to propagate the John Galt hedonist philosophy by subverting our ancient literature.
This is where the Sanskrit proverb is “Rinam kritva ghritam pibet, yavan jivet sukham jivet” meaning -“Live so long you have a life and live with all comforts and luxury even if you have to take a loan”
Charvaka is “materialist hedonism” and supposed to be propagated by a the “rather of Carnatic music” Purandara ( sic!). There was NO sage called Charvaka in Indian history.
As per the white Christian missionary , Purandara Dasa fought the evils of casteism through his songs.
Indians have NO idea what all false and fake ways the white man tried to subvert indian thought.
They created the fake “ Chārvāka school of philosophy” with its variety of atheistic and materialistic beliefs.
Such a school of thought never existed in India.
This Charvaka philosophy was about the virtue of selfishness ( Ayn Rand -mistress of Rothschild philosophy )and the belief that that wisdom lay in enjoying pleasure and avoiding pain.
They were extremely critical of the Vedas giving propaganda that Vedas were just incoherent rhapsodies , and that the Vedas suffered from three faults - untruth, self-contradiction and tautology.
The Charvaka philosophy spread the belief that Vedas were cooked up by men and had no divine authority.
The white historian invented a false Chārvāka philosophy( Sarva-darśana-saṅgraha ) a fake poison injected work back dated and attributed to a 14th century Advaita Vedanta philosopher Mādhava Vidyāraṇya from Hampi India, which starts with a chapter on the Chārvāka system.
Actually this chapter is not there.

Bunch of BS in first para.
One first stage: There is mention of Ptolemy in Persian texts. Second stage: Almost all of european philosophers/scientist/theologians mention Arab, Persian and Andalusian counterpart by name. Hence, Latinised names on these people exist.
Calculus as invented by Newton leaps and bounds ahead of any of its predecessor forms. Some ideas of calculus might have indeed travelled from India to Ibn Haysham to Kepler and Fermat. But there is a reason why despite Newton is said to have discovered calculus even though many europeans before him had some idea of calculus.

About question in 1:26:00. There is already a channel in Hindi Epic TV channel, which cater to shows on Indian culture, history etc. But the problem is here also, shows get hijacked by likes of Devdutt Pattanaik, who maybe a good illustrator but have a very superficial knowledge about Sanatan dharma. Fake people hijacking every good thing in India, that's serious issue. Mr. Rajeev have very rightly pointed out that Indians themselves are spreading the "western discourse about Indian culture" in India.

  • @skapesk5014
    @skapesk5014 8 лет назад +3

Pai seems to have confused between freedom to interpret and perversely portray Epics. What would he have to say for such 'free' thought Ramayanas which say, Sita born off Ravan's sneeze or Sita married Ravan etc. How the freedom to denigrate such epics improve prospects for our civilisation or Dharma. Pai says, its ok to portray Ram as Ravan and then flares up, we cannot accept one Ramayan of Valmiki and want more versions. But Valmiki witnessed Ramayan and scripted it, so will we believe Periyar Ramayan or the Valmikis? He claims further our civilisation survived on freedom to think (subvert) and would survive for thousands of years. Many such Hindus live in fools paradise, whom infact, Rajiv talked about at other places. Wish he answered here itself.

Please try to find many of the papers that Rajiv Malhotra commissioned in ancient Indian psychology about two decades back, all from his own pocket. They are a remarkable read along with the many that he commissioned on different subjects.
At the same time, please get 'The elements of Ancient Indian Psychology' by B. Kuppuswamy published in 1985. Dr. Kuppuswamy was the Psychology Department Head, Presidency College, Madras (1949~1952) and also Head of Psychology, University of Mysore, 1962 and also Director of Institute for Social and Psychological Research, Bangalore.
In the modern world, Human Behavioral Study was first started at Leipzig University by William Wundt in 1979.
Important: The root teachings of all Hinduism relate to Psychology (mind-the play of the world) and the Atma.
But if this remarkable video does anything, it encourages you to go back into the beauty of doing one's own 'Svadhyaya' of the ancient texts, and to practice grass roots activism!

I'm sure many don't knows that we're still the dominion state of United Kingdom. That's why that victoria dosen't need visa to come India. Go and find the Indian Independence ACT --- it clearly says that Indian and Pakistan will be two dominion state(not an independent nation) by this law. But there will be free government. What is that mean? That's mean that India and Pakistan will be two dominion state of United Kingdom and the government will controlled by the Government of U.K. Follow Rajiv Dixit ruclips.net/video/u4b5Ks-Y1Fc/видео.html at RUclips you'll understand. Jai Hind, Bharat Mata Ki Jai.

However it seems to be a dishonour to our own heritage to anoint the apparently motivated 'outsider' calls for empirical evidence as ChArvAka 2.0. Prof Narasimha points out the vital role of ChArvAka in the development of Indian thought as well as his acknowledgement of the role of additional methods of proof over and above the clinching evidence of Pratyaksha.

I don't agree with Mohandas..that you have the freedom to interpret..yes we have..but only within the boundary of the original text like Ramayana by valmiki..Now a days they are adding randomly anything which never happened before..so you have the freedom to interpret from only the text which is written there..and their meaning, because that is the source only..
