Not 100% accurate but I do have an exact recreation of the original “Command Chair” or as I call it the “Kirk Chair” and your star field recreation it is the perfect display to play on my “main screen”for anyone experiencing my “Star Trek” media room. Well, here I am again, I've looked around the internet and this the best "flying though space" animation I've seen. So, was it a screen saver or done with animation software ( like Blender, After Effects, other)?
it's created with something called processing, go to this RUclips channel called the coding train and search the coding challenge video star field, it will show you how to do this step by step
I might just be really stoned right now, but listening to Daft Punks new Drumless Edition version of "Motherboard" is just so mesmerizing. Felt like my brain was being massaged.
I love this screensaver, although scientifically speaking the stars would be out in the distance, they would not be passing by you like they were tiny bubbles.
@@andresgalviz315 this is something that has bothered me for awhile. technically, the starlight (and cosmic background radiation that is below the visible spectrum) would be blueshifted, and it wouldn't look anything like this. but putting that aside for the sake of entertainment, I've wondered about this as well. I think that you're right, at high velocities you would see stars move against the background of stars further away. but these stars look like they are way too close to us. I feel like every star should just be a dot on the background (like they are in the sky) and some dots would just be moving faster than others.
@@Mehwhatevr Yes, blueshift is exactly what I thought about when making the video I just uploaded on my channel (I'm not here to spam, lol). In my version, you travel even faster and the stars are even smaller. Then I thought they didn't have to be all white, so I started giving them a certain range of colours. Then I thought to blueshift and I searched some parameters, to have some scale reference. Turns out the travel speed is so high the stars shouldn't be visible at all, so I flipped the table over and, instead of ragequitting, I simply gave the stars a small colour range around white (each colour component is between 224 and 255, over a black background it's basically undetectable but I _nneded_ to know they aren't all white) for entertainment's sake.

you know this is cool except the counter cause when I'm flying through space i'm going where space and time are bent so you know - and my clock won't calculate within a proximate value - but that's ok. cool vid otherwise

rose des vents If I may suggest, you would probably be better off with a flash animation than an HD video as a background for a webpage. You would likely create a page that would take forever to load.
I just wanted you to have more than a beautiful one hour space experience to give to the people......especially if they need to understand space travel OR need something other than music and sheep to help them fall asleep.
